@Prestons8legs We use a plastic water bottle with the bottom inch cut off. Then, we put holes around the outside so that, when we place it over the tarantula and it finally runs up inside the water bottle, we slide a piece of cardboard over the bottom to keep it from running out until we get it over the new enclosure. The holes are so we can use a paintbrush to gently coax ot out of the top of the bottle if it doesn't come out on its own.
@jimmygreeson160 that's an amazing idea ! Luckily all my Tarantulas are pretty slow and not bolty, but when I do get a Tarantula that is like that, I will definitely use that idea for rehousing them. Thank you!
Nice build. My son and I are getting ready to rehouse an Orange Baboon tarantula this week. We use Tarantula Crib enclosures, too, when possible.
