I think the reason why they say this header isn't compatible with air conditioned cars is because of the location of the alternator, not the a/c compressor. In the future I'll try to get the compressor back on and get the a/c working. Also please note that from 5:43 - 7:03 the video is upside down. Oops... ...and yeah, go ahead and roast me for the terrible header wrap job 😅
The muffler should fit the notch without rubbing. This is most likely some other alignment issue. The support bracket is made VERY generically now because when we made it "our" way everyone complained so now it is made for anyone anywhere using any spring they like the most to make it work.
sounds good! Thanks much for the detailed vid and tips on header install. I'm in the process of putting Vic's headers and new old stock muffler on my '82. Wasn't planning on wrapping the header though - how much do you think this helps? Did you not re-install the intake/injector cooler fan ducting, or does yours not have this? cheers!

Thanks for taking us for a ride at the end! Had a 1978 blue/silver X19 Bertone in Arizona. Sold it in late ‘83. ❤LOVED❤ driving that car.

Yeah the fitment issues is probably something specific to the later Bertone cars.

Yes! Reinstalling the cooling fan duct is necessary.
I'm not sure how well the header wrap helps. I didn't do that great of a job at it 😅
