    Respect my brother. I am on a 15 acre piece of land, and I am doing the same as you are and maybe a little more. The insect's name is 'Bora,' it is a Plantain killer; just to inform you that the human urine is a good treatment for such a problem.

      1 to 11/2 feet deep and seven or 8 feet between plants 12 feet between rows

      Try 2 x 2 m. This means higher density, higher yielding capacity, better canopy and consequently less problems with weeds. Forsee minor farm roads say every 60m.

    Could you give me a fertilizing guide for this the information i gather high nitrogen and potassium is used true out it kinda have me confused a bit because too much nitrogen wouldnt allow flowering

      If you are using soluble fertilizers fertilize them as I fertilize my peppers. If you are going the granular way use a starter fertilizer from planting to threw months. From three moths to 6 months use 11-22-22 and from six months on wards use a high potassium fertilizer such as 15-5-35

      @@enesiumar2864 yes sir. It prevents fungus from spreading too fast and it keeps the field clean, it also prevents loss of nutrients that must go to the fruits.

      Pine apple but you must ensure you give the some sunlight so plant your plantain rows 12 or 15 ft apart

      it varies. some places your plantain will start to shoot 6 months after you plant and your fruit will be ready 2 1/2 to 3 months

    This is good but u need to ask an expert to school on those things, trunk is the remaining stem after harvesting. What u call trunk is called pseudostem. Use good terminology .

    Very helpful thank you but I would honestly prefer not to spray anything that isn't organic. I just don't trust chemical fungicides/ insecticides on any food plants.

      Respect. Use neem oil for insects baking soda or hydrogen peroxide and wood ash then they will help you

    Also always remove excess suckers.after a mother plant there is a daughter,then the daughter gives a grand daughter keep it at that dont allow the mother to have 2 children they will get malnourished,cut and kill all extra suckers
