This shouldn't have moved your physical game. This only moves the data. If you didn't touch the ea games folder then you didn't touch the game. Check that it's still in the location by opening the sims 4 using the start menu and right clicking on it to open the file folder
@@gamerimage hmm, when downloading sims 4, it saves in the EA folder, should i move it to another called my games? I'm just trying to get my mods on my external hard drive.
So the settings for the EA Apps download location is pointing to the sims 4 being in the documents electronic arts location? Can you double check that you can go to ea, into settings, then check out the download settings to verify?
@@gamerimage exactly. I just went ahead and reset my PC as it was crashing witht he update and the interchanges with the ea app was getting to complicated. Now after resetting everything. The EA app wants to automatically save in my program files. Do i let it save here and when i download sims, make it save in my documents folder? Thank you for your help by the way. I have ben at this fora long time and tried everything so starting from scratch and hope thisworks

SOS. I have created a sym link but when going back to the EA app, it does not recognize anything. It is making me redownload sims 4.

If I'm already done transfering the folder to a new drive, can I delete the sims 4 folder in the documents??
If you've copied and pasted it and everything is on your new drive, yes-you can delete the data on the documents folder
