U can do your own research: don’t need any f…..g tipsters… I backed Rashabar at Royal ascot this year, 80/1: won in a photo, but I also looked at the 2nd, 3rd, 4th: could have backed all of them: but not for the time I didn’t do the tricast which paid over 83k, and trifecta paid £122k!!!🤦🏽♂️… about the 4th time I forgot or didn’t think about doing the tricast, each time paying over 5 figure sums!!🙁😡
I very rarely back a short priced favourite especially in handicaps a lot of the time they are bookies favourites and mug punters pile into them, pick something low in the handicap but running into form say 4th last time out usually around 5 to 1 and back ew to cover your bet.

Hello ANDY THANKS FOR GREAT TIPPING its become a habit to see what you tip even tho i dont back all of them. Tho your naps get special attention. I dont back a 4/1 ew as most of my bets are in running on betfair where a selection at those odds can be very much larger as you know in the race. So i back two horses and more in same race to mininum stakes £2. And i set it up to cover on shortie and try to win on longer priced selections. Which goes back to your if you dont win try to make sure you dont lose.
Very practical advice, but easier said than done. American racing seems more involved than European racing . Betting is a great secondary occupation, US major league baseball is the easiest for W%. Best of luck

In March, April and May 2019 I collected just over £2000 from William Hills, Corals and Bet Fred combined. The first big or decent win was from William Hills. The smallest stake I put on was £7 (£1 patent 3 horses 7 bets ) All 3 wre beaten favourite in their last race and won when I backed them. The biggest price was 14/1 The biggest stake I put on in those 3 months a was £20 double Bred from "Frankel" and both won. I back BF in all races where a BF horse is running at all meetings but do Patent, Flag or doubles, trebles, fourfolds. If there are 2 BF in a race I don't back any. I also back those from a good breed. When I do the scoop 6 I always back the same 6 horses doubles and trebles (15D and 20T) In one of those Saturdays I had 5 out of 6 in the scoop 6 and the 5th selection finished 5th. That's the system I use. It doesn't always work but on those occasions, it did.
@Jamie Green You can get value from high Street bookies and they'll ban/restrict you exactly like online bookies do if you're taking too much value from them.
That double he did that it shows at 24:08, both horses won that day. It was 6th of November, 2019. Ishebayorgrey won by a neck at 7/2 and pakarmy went on to win by 2 and a half lengths at 4/1. If he got them both with BOG and 1/5 the odds that each-way double would have paid £1,278. Without BOG it paid £1,116.67. Still, ironic that's the slip it showed and they both managed to win.

Words of wisdom applicable 25 years ago. No sucker bets: exactas, trifectas and whatever other exotics they have now. Study, pick the horse you think will win and bet him or her across the board: win, place & show. Last three Beyers are very important.

Although I like Andy Holding and think he's a top tipster. Jack Hobbs didn't win his derby trail and to say you expect him to win the derby after golden horn had beaten him at York is a bit off the mark. But Mr Holding is a great guy to chat to unlike others in the racing media who think they know it all.
Yep, solid plodder type plenty of 4's and 5's always available lacked that touch of class going in, convinced himself, overruled hopeful optimism but who hasn't been guilty of that holding a fat looking docket
The key to being profitable while gambling is that you have to buy something tangible for your profits every time you win a decent amount of money ( wardrobe, electronics, jewelry, car, pay bills, etc.) People who keep cash, after they have won it, they bring it back to a race track/ casino, and lose it sooner or later. The second problem is, when people are ahead and doing well, they do not know when to stop and walk away.

The points system in betting is where you decide how much a point is. Andy will often tell you how many points they think you should bet, such as a 2 point win. If you usually put about £5 on when you place bets 2 points would mean £10 and so on.
Should have miked the interviewer and you've really gotta wonder how much this guy actually makes from his betting compared to his affiliations and other payments. I doubt very much at all...
With such a following all his selections are going to collapse in price...same as pricewise.......so he can just lay for a free bet on all his selections
If you're backing a horse for the Derby, better to scratch off any horses that have run at wolverhampton. The derby is purely about bloodlines anyway, especially horses that were reared in the center mass of Ireland as they grew up eating limestone grass which gives the horse a stronger constitution. So horses that appear to be English e.g. North Light, were actually raised on limestone grass in Ireland.
Not true. John Gosden introduces some very nice horses at Wolverhampton including I believe his most exciting 3yo in 2020 Waldkonig that is my fancy for the Derby... if it ever runs.
Stephen Bidgood Yes it is a brother to Waldgeist. Obviously top breeding is important I’m just pointing out that some trainers like Gosden will run a horse with impeccable breeding at Wolverhampton. Waldkonig’s debut is on TH-cam if you wanna give it a search? Very exciting.
I haven't yet watched the video, but I assume he's relying on wisdom and intuition rather than pure statistics. Very tough to win that way, 'The Crowd' is just too good at setting odds. But with data and stats, it can be beat, Bill Benter made millions.
He has loads of homes in the Caribbean, but he’s on holiday in good old Blighty, where it rains and freezing, he just loves the bracing weather here, and the old basic house he’s in: no doubt his house in England, or he could be renting 😂😂
I made a living betting Ron Waples senior as he only went every other week with his drives unless the horse just came in from another track and he had the drive in which case he always went with that horse. The horseplayers were that stupid in all the decades they never caught on at Greenwood and Mohawk before Ron went down to the Meadowlands in the twilight of his career.
Only possible way to be a professional gambler is sports betting and or being really good at poker. Every casino had a RTP system....except Casio night at your local senior retirement complex, that might not be fixed haha.
Never bet each way, for example if fancy 4/1 do£100 place at 4/5 for £180. whereas if places and on each way you'll get 1/5 of odds so 4/1 is 4/5 will return £90. can i work with you?
100% right. Speed figures are useless and paid for by mugs. A race can start going full pelt start to finish or horses can canter to the last 3f and then go for it. Times mean nothing.
Exactly what happens when u get trapped wide or blocked for a run down the straight or miss the start or caught at the back with no pace on or taken on In the lead gassing out the horse to early, there’s so many variables that’s why it’s a mugs game, their animals not machines just like us some days they don’t feel like running but they can’t talk therefore u don’t know, barely any horse has gone thru it’s career undefeated
I also backed Jack Hobbs for The Derby , but he finished 2nd to his superior stalemate , Golden Horn , who went onto win the Arc - therefore Andy iscwrong ; Jack Hobbs had no right to win the Epsom race , allowing for the fact that he was the lesser talented and lesser fancied of the Gosden pair .
SideFlush yes sir. This was the comment I came looking for. His analysis that Jack Hobbs didn’t turn up on the day is laughable, he ran an excellent race but his stablemate as we now know was a Champion. Jack Hobbs won the Irish Derby because Golden Horn skipped it. Gosden knew which one was better as he won the Arc with him.

@@Nautilus1972 I doubt very much Andy Holding gets his money on in a betting shop in Wolverhampton, it was just an image to match him talking about where he came from. If you try putting £50 e/w doubles on 7/2 horses in a bookies you will last 5 minutes.
In fairness very few people beat the bookies. It's too addictive and unpredictable.

Not very clever being banned by the high street bookies… is he showing off?!!
This guy could be a terrific tipster, I have not heard of him before.
Great video. Much enjoyed it.
I very rarely back a short priced favourite especially in handicaps a lot of the time they are bookies favourites and mug punters pile into them, pick something low in the handicap but running into form say 4th last time out usually around 5 to 1 and back ew to cover your bet.
The background music is a bit weird, so unnecessary

He's been banned from bookies so he is good take note bookies don't like it when you win all the time
But they love when you lose regularly
@Jamie Green You can get value from high Street bookies and they'll ban/restrict you exactly like online bookies do if you're taking too much value from them.
@Jamie Green do they ban you without you getting to withdraw your balance?
@Jamie Green oh wow🤦♂️😂, is it possible thag you can just create a new account ? Or does that not work
That double he did that it shows at 24:08, both horses won that day.
Probably why they showed ot, he probably wrote out every combo in those 2 races, and filmed them all

The key to being profitable while gambling is that you have to buy something tangible for your profits every time you win a decent amount of money ( wardrobe, electronics, jewelry, car, pay bills, etc.)
People who keep cash, after they have won it, they bring it back to a race track/ casino, and lose it sooner or later.
The second problem is, when people are ahead and doing well, they do not know when to stop and walk away.
Wish I’d have had the info about that pertemps qualifier at Leopardstown. Does anyone know if he had cash on the “exotic” Sire du Berlais, Storyteller, Tout est Permis Trifecta? That would be awesome 👏

What does it mean by points???
The points system in betting is where you decide how much a point is. Andy will often tell you how many points they think you should bet, such as a 2 point win. If you usually put about £5 on when you place bets 2 points would mean £10 and so on.

Sectional times mean nothing in national hunt. There is no accounting for gradients or differences in the ground.
This guy must just be lucky then
Times are ok ...if they always actually run the same kind of race all the time ...but they don't.

If you can get a decent bet on line ( apart from exchanges ) ....you're a mug punter.
A man's gotta make at least one bet a day, else he could be walking around lucky and never know it
My Grandad always said back the No 1 each way in a handicap race .
@Stephen Bidgood 😂
Yer my grandad didn't have a clue either
should have beaten golden horn? yeah ok
