The video serves as an introduction to the Ogre Kingdoms as a race for Total War Warhammer 3. It is not their complete history but rather to get the players to know one of the races they will be playing :)

I was wondering, how many female ogres exist? I never heard or saw any of them ever mentioned. I'm assuming ogres procreate just like humans, so there must be female ogres, right?
Their lore is that they snak food and yoink gold

you expect a mere meteor to hurt grimgor? ._. that guy is known as ironhide for a reason
As a fan since the early 1990s it's interesting because Cathay (the fantasy stand in for East Asia) was effectively abandoned in the early 90s, you would only find it mentioned as background fluff in the Kim Newman (writing as Jack Yeovil!) Novels from the late 1980s/early 1990s and then suddenly it became Canon again when the Orgres were reinvented in the early 00s as this amoral Eurasian Hun/Mongol/Tatar stand in. I actually love the idea of them being related to Halflings : they ARE strangely human like beings with enormous appetite. The "Man-eaters" being the relatively polite civilised one's who exposed to Humans when operating as Mercenaries, adopt civilised effectations, they eat "like" men not necessarily eat men but happily will with minimal provocation .
The old ones created
The elves: They were strong in magic but reproduced slowly, and weren't industrial
The dwarf: They were strong and industrial, but they don't use magic
The men: The are industrial, use magic, reproduce quickly.. but too corruptible..
The ogres: They should have own every advantage of all the races with high resistance against chaos, but before they finished chaos struck...
IIRC it was heavily implied that Halflings and Ogres were meant to work together in a caste society similar to the way Saurus and Skinks perform, but with more free will and intelligence (sort of). But yeah, when the Maw hit, the Ogres discovered Halflings were delicious, causing them to flee to the Moot. When Ogres and Halflings do meet up, they're often fast friends, but the Ogre is always tempted to eat the Halfling. "It's a struggle between his heart and his stomach" is how GW put it.

The, Lizardmen, Greenskins and Ogres are my favorite races from Warhammer.

Every video about the ogres I see makes me long to launch raids from the mountains of mourn to fill my treasure horde cave and harvest ingredients for my sacrifice feast.
this furthers my concept of a Genestealer Ogor Mawtribe, the Great Maw is the Great Devourer, or at least a concept of it

If the Great Maw gets some more lore in the Old World, I really hope they go with a 'minor chaos god' interpretation. I was not happy with the lore they chose for the Age of Sigmar version.
You don't make sense
If that were true Ogres would fight for EVERY Everchosen and powerful Chaos Champion
Ogres would be fighting solely for Chaos since Day 1
Gulping God isn't The Great Maw though, Ogres now known as Ogors adopted Gorkamorka as their deity when The Maw was obliterated with the old world (although the core Malus is now a moon within Azyr so maybe The Maw could make an actual return, that would be neat), worshipping him as one of many aspects known as either The Gulping God, The Suneater, or even sometimes the Beastclaw worship The Everwinter (the never ending apocalyptic blizzard that constantly follows them endlessly) as a stand in for the Gulping God, though there are many theories each Beastclaw tribe has as to why the everwinter chases them.
The Great Maw is still very much it's own thing in fantasy, personally I hope it isn't a minor Chaos God but just a weird alien entity that it is currently in fantasy lore I just really like how weird it is.

I would really hope that we could one day see the Skytitans in TWW3.
I think you can actually see their remains in ogre territory, large skulls the size of mountains or at least thats how the map makes it look.
Now i really want to know more about the sky titans, they are really fascinating

@@TheGreatBookofGrudges Which is weird the only thing that close to a female ogre was a male ogre dressed up as a woman because he was somewhere in the empire and saw a woman beat up her husband and the ogre was so impressed he tried to mimic the woman. Just like other ogres mimiced pirates or ninjas.
I wonder about a fight between Ogres and Orcs...who will win in term of brute strenght? Their tactics and fight style and society are quite similar.
Orcs they can reprqduce faster and love fighting more
@@yeayea8226 but ogres litterally ate sky giants...ogres are fewer than orcs but taken singularly one ogre is stronger of the majiority of orcs in a warband, ever bigger than most of black orcs around...only chieftains and heroes can match their size and strenght...and most of all they are smarter of the average greenskin.

No not really, it's just happen stance that the great horned rat likes plagues as well. Nurgle doesn't mind them but keeps his distance because you know... gods always be bickering. Be he will make deals and packs with them every now and then.
