Makes Maria's location all the more important. And the official art of her sitting there , too. Though it makes me wonder about Gehrman. He's always sitting. What's that mean?
Remember that episode of The Tick where Chairface Chippendale tried to use explosives to write his name on the moon but The Tick stopped him halfway through and then in every subsequent episode you could see the word "CHAIR" on the moon? Well you need to think long and hard about how the moon in The Tick went on to become the moon presence in Bloodborne and then you'll come to the realization that bloo
As I understand, in earlier versions of the game, the chairs were supposed to serve the same purpose of lanterns. You would sit in them, and they would transport you into the dream. This would have been a parallel to the mummies of the School of Mensis which you see sitting in chairs late game.
2:30 "How about a vampire prince raising from a coffin ff7 style in a graveyard of his family members?" "Nah just put his dad on the roof with wings and a sythe."
I think it’s possible that the original intention for the coffins and the carriage was that in order to activate the carriage to go to Cainhurst, you needed to load the coffins onto it, which would’ve been done by interacting with them throughout Hemwick.
At 5:00 that red armour looks like the Fluted Armour from Demon Souls. Also the chairs could have been used as a plot teleportation device, ie your characters entry to Cainhurst.
The fluted armour, the umbasa line, the armor and shields in the chalice dungeons, I think this game was supposed to take place in the demons souls universe, seeing as that world had a great one as well.
The Bloodborne Alpha featured a chair where the Central Yharnam lantern would eventually appear. I'm guessing that at some point, chairs were intended to be used as rest points like bonfires in Dark Souls.
those caskets look like the ones you find in the chalice dungeons... interesting connection? edit: those chests in Cainhurst are also like the chalice ones... confirmation that Cainhurst and the Pthumerians are connected somehow?
I feel like that was "confirmed" a while ago, to be honest. Look at Martyr Logarius and the Pthumerian bosses in the Chalice dungeons. All the Pthumerians were tall like that and white-haired. And the same theme plays when you fight Logarius and queen Yharnam. Logarius either is Pthumerian or is descended from one.
I’m pretty sure the more ornate coffin is a match for one found in the chalice dungeon but it’s likely they just reused the asset rather than attempting to hint at a deep connection
@@xPooogle515 Logarius' theme plays for Queen Yharnam too because both Annalise and Yharnam are "Blood Queens". It's muddled by the localisation. The japanese text/dub only knows the Vilebloods as the "Blood clan", with "Vileblood" being what Alfred calls them - "The accursed blood clan". The track is also known as "Queen of the Vilebloods" on the CD, which would simply have been "Blood Queen" in Japanese - which is true for both Yharnam and Annalise. Check the trophy descriptions in the international versions, Yharnam is still referred to as the "Blood Queen of the labyrinth".
7 times? ^^ do i win sound files in the game to edit them into my own videos to help people relax that was cut short due to Prey causing corruption on my ps4 and unable to boot the system i had to completely restart it and set it all up again?
I gotta be honest with you, I've already checked absolutely all of that stuff. There is nothing behind any of the walls in almost all of the DLC. They worked themselves to the bone to make the DLC and they used almost everything they created.
I do find it a fascinating implication here, that the entirety of Hemwick is a sort of sub-village of the greater city of Yharnam, and its sole purpose is to, well, be a giant charnel house. Other towns have industries like fishing, farming, mining, factory work, etc. but Hemwick's entire purpose is to store, prepare, process, and dispose of corpses. Imagine what that would do to a place's culture. Imagine what kind of people, what kind of society would develop around a whole village entirely dedicated to processing human bodies like a butcher's shop for the city it sits beside. It's an interesting concept to consider, to say the least.
isnt it obvious? the chair was probably used to travel to the hunters dream. you sat on the chair and slept, taking you to the dream. and then you woke up anywhere you wanted in chairs placed around the world.
Maybe the coffins were how we were originally going to get to Castle Cainhurst. We'd get the invitation, then get in the coffin, and we'd have a custcene within the carriage before arriving at the castle. And for the chairs, maybe some NPC was supposed to manifest in them, like how we project ourselves into the waking world from the dream, with the chairs becoming increasingly ornate as you approach Queen Annalise. After all, blood IS linked to the dreams/nightmare. You need some "Yharnam blood" to enter the Hunter's Dream, and those who have become drunk with blood are pulled into the Hunter's Nightmare. But what dream binds the Vilebloods?
Regarding the chairs, there's no need for speculations. This is a known fact. Bloodborne had archstones ( 4.bp.blogspot.com/-xUuTV-PKsHk/V5NAffQnfmI/AAAAAAAANy4/EvRhDI_saHU_cCQrA1drXjvPqUu3X_b3wCLcB/s1600/Arcane.jpg ), then moved to chairs, then moved to lanterns. The Gamescom alpha demo had a chair where Gilbert's lantern was supposed to be: th-cam.com/video/VtEUZ6HkHyg/w-d-xo.html The unused Chalice Dungeon corridor and arena also have a chair for warping, buried underneath the sand: i.imgur.com/Q8buY3I_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium
That would make sense actually, since you would've actually entered the Hunter's Dream by sitting down and sleeping. In other words, falling asleep and dreaming.
So, with the casket that has the flower, I have an interesting theory. What if it's lady Marias coffin. If I remember she was connected to cainhurst (born there? I can't fully recall.) Now sadly the only thing I have to back this up is the white flower, which in the clock tower has some significance. Just a thought

Maybe the vessel was the original way you got to Cainhurst, instead of the summons and the carriage, instead you could have found the vessel, hid in a coffin (or just in it somewhere) with some type of Cainhurst item. Once you do this, you get moved to some area in Cainhurst, like a graveyard and then you could make your way through Cainhurst.
Would relly like to se if the brain of mensis has any attacks! It has arms and different hit detections on them. Would be strange if brain it some point didnt have any attacks. As it's somewhat related to the winter lanterns.
The chairs were supposed to send you in the hunters dream instead of the lanterns, but they thought it might be a little bit of to search for the fucking portal chair in an area and running to every chair we see hoping to get a new “bonfire”

The vessel was probably what was originally ment to be the carriage to cainhurst, the first chair might be for the guy dead in last room of hamlet, second chair my have been a throne possibility
Lance McDonald Huh. You might have to do weird stuff with their coding then. I heard that DS3 modders had to make subroutines to get that kind of thing working properly.
I thought they looked similar! It's weird that they're loaded in Hemwick but never actually used there. I think we can see their origins here as part of this weird vessel.
Lance McDonald Also, I have a question/request. Where do you think the one peglegged knight would belong in the game area wise? I noticed that Lady Maria had a very fiery aspect about her when she fought, so maybe she was supposed to give us a fire themed chalice before it got scrapped? If you or any other code divers could find that knights animations or anything telling us about a cut chalice would be great. Good video my friend, and good luck with the search
Which peg legged night do you mean? The one Sanadsk found with no animations? I've actually never seen it haha. I can try to search for any references to it though and post about it if I find anything!

I recall reading about it on the wiki and it seeming that you'd fall asleep in the chairs to return to the dream, so I'm inclined to agree.
Would've been cool, too, to use chairs in the area as lamps, like Maria's, Logarius', or even the one next to Annalise.
