I just spent $2000 on the DJI Mini 4 pro and a pile of batteries so I can fly for ages. It's a great wee drone, easy to fly and easy to understand. It takes a really good photo & video. I think with all it's Safety systems & sensors it should be a safe and reliable drone
I have a Mini se and a Mini 2 se. Bought both used. Both fly well. The 2se was only $50 because the gimbal frame needs replaced. I think that was a great deal. I plan on selling the Mini se once the 2se is repaired. If I could flip them both quick I’d buy the deal on the Mini 3 at Costco for $339. For now being on a super tight budget, I’m thrilled just to have a DJI drone and not have to settle for a toy.

I bought the original Mavic mini in April of 2020. After years, decades of wanting to fly RC aircraft, I was bored with the Mavic after about a month. 4 years later & it's in new condition & barely used. May of 2020 I bought an Emax EZ Pilot and was hooked on FPV flight. By June 2020 I had outgrown my EZ Pilot & bought an Emax Tinyhawk Freestyle 2. Since then I've gotten the Mavic out to fly less than 5 or 10 times. I did just take it out today though just to see if it still worked and it flew perfectly. These things aren't really flying though. The Mavic flies itself, you just tell it where to fly to. I still don't like the idea of giving DJI access to my phone with their app. The latency of the original Mini sucks too. Not sure if that ever got any better, but you cannot fly it in close proximity to obstacles by watching the screen because you will crash it. Now, you can take it way up in the air and fly by watching the screen, but down low it's basically the worst FPV drone stuck in angle mode ever. I would recommend putting an analog camera & VTX or a Caddx Vista on top of the drone if you want to fly it FPV. That will take care of the latency problem. I just use mine for checking the roof for damage.

They will bring out another when I’m not to sure as at the minute the mini 4 pro has some amazing features and what it can do for the price and that you can fly pretty much everywhere it’s a steal for the full kit. And you don’t have to then get a licence but you do have to take the fly and operator tests to prove your competent pilot. I also would say look into other company’s as Dji is not the only mini drone maker and there’s an array of them now days but the mini 1 was the birth of the mini drone machine.
Is it just me or did the jump from the 2 tonthe 3 increase the size huge. They went from the 4.7 inch props on the Mavic Mini, mini 2 to the mini 3 and 4 now use 6 inch props. Do you think dji using 6 inch props helps with the Pitch Hz lowering from the 4.7 inch props?

Debating the Mini 2 SE and the regular Mini 3. I dont need 4K and the Mini 2 SE seems to provide a perfect camera. The question for me is more so how the Mini 3 flys compared to the Mini 2 SE? They're different designs. One has smaller props at higher RPMs and the newer design is bigger props at slower RPMs. I'm not a professional but im also a little past the beginner stage and don't need obstacle avoidance or any of those bells and whistles. I kindve want to get a fly more package with either choice. And Mini 3 standard is probably about the maximum im willing to spend for a drone. I ended up getting the Mini 2 SE. I like to get Fly More Combos with my drones and the Mini 3 just dosent offer that much more to justify the price difference. The 2.7K of the Mini 2 SE based of TH-cam videos is very impressive. You don't necessarily need 4K . The base kit for the Mini 2 SE now falls under $300 at $299.
Mini 2. It added all the major upgrades that the mini 1 was missing. STILL affordable, customizeable, supported for a long time. I think it's the best selling consumer drone of all time
Mini 3 and mini 4 suck for the price. I had a mini 2 with modded 4100 mah batteries. I was getting 59 minutes in air flight. Way better signal then the mini 3 also. Ive played with them all miniv2 is the only 1 worth the money. I have videos of my own on my Playlist proving my flight time on the mini 2. It also has stronger motors then the 3 and 4. The original mini is the qorse but was a good start. But get real minis r for newbs and r throwaway drones. Get a full size
@@TheRareCriticalThinker go pay 1k and that's without the individual plus batteries and see if you don't feel scammed...those plus batteries have to bought individually. It's not worth 600...they won't even unlock the 4g on them in the United States.

Mini 4 pro kicks ass
Yes it does
Just bought the mini 3 pro
Nice
the mavic mini was the best of them all
Mini 2. It added all the major upgrades that the mini 1 was missing. STILL affordable, customizeable, supported for a long time.
I think it's the best selling consumer drone of all time
Went to buy the mini 3 pro today to find it’s been discontinued: (
Still supported and a good drone.
@@HalfChrome I know, was disappointed, none of the store in Australia have any left, thinking to get the 3, will be better than the 1 I still got.
The new one that you cannot show us yet lol that's the best one the cloned DJI mini
It could be…
Afraid to buy one until we see whats going to happen with the US ban.
Who cares what the FAA does-just don't fly them where you can't and you'll be fine
also mini 4k
Missing the mini se as built the same as the mini 2 with the same motors and body and better than the mavic mini
I mentioned it briefly. You are correct
Definitely an unpopular take
Cheers for the heads up 😊❤
@@TheRareCriticalThinker go pay 1k and that's without the individual plus batteries and see if you don't feel scammed...those plus batteries have to bought individually. It's not worth 600...they won't even unlock the 4g on them in the United States.
Any idea what I should get I had a mavic mini for 3 years now thinking of buying a used air 2s or maybe mavic 2 pro deffinetly not another mini, I would like a bigger drone, the mini is not that good in the wind
I prefer my DJI M30T
Definitely not a mini
@@HalfChrome indeed big boy haha
I don't want a DJI Mini because everybody has a DJI Mini and I don't want to be everybody.
If you don’t have one. Then everyone doesn’t have one.
Kinda hard when it's far and away the best and most affordable
@@HalfChrome Suppose you're going on a 1000 mile bike trip once a year. Say you have $1000 cash. But you want a drone for that trip. Are you going to spend 500-600-1000 on a drone? I tell you, once people watched video of my $95 L200 Pro Max ($115 with two batteries and infrared thing on top) they're gonna say holy crap, that thing is unbelievable.
And that is why you as a drone guy should review one of the new under 250 gram with gimbal very soon. Your kinda running behind. We all have seen DJI drones a million times over and over again. It's boring. And that is why I don't want a DJI anymore. Maybe if I do a trip around the world I will buy a DJI Mini 4 Pro? But for 5 views in YT?
@driewiel I’ve seen the footage. It’s ok. If I’m doing a 1000 mile ride and I have $1000 I’d get the Mini 4.
@driewiel I should review it. But I value the camera. It might be the best drone for less than $100
You have a lot of drone 😮 plzzz giftawa me dji mini 2 se i have no drone 😔
Hey bud… Loved your review on the different models unfortunately I just had my mini to drop out of the sky into the water and was wondering if I could possibly give you a call and discuss what will work with my transmitter and extra batteries versus just upgrading to the mini 3 pro or mini 4 pro… I’ll be happy to give you my number or call you either way …it’s just too much to text thank you my friend
It’s pretty simple what model did you have?
@@HalfChrome I have the mini 2 and I was trying to decide whether to buy another mini two or to just upgrade… the features of the three Pro and four Pro are more what I want, but I was not sure if either one of those would work with the mini 2 transmitter and batteries
@@HalfChrome I love the faster speed because I would like it to follow me in my boat while running and fishing also the screen on the transmitter is AWSOME other than being able to directly load the videos to my phone… so I’m not real sure if I like the screen on the transmitter or the one I have that hooks to my phone
