As a first time drone user and not much experience with drones(apart from little toy helicopters) is it worth getting the pro for the sensor and tracking features?@leftmikerightmike
Thanks Shawn! One more detail about panorama shots... The Mini 3 pro stitches 360 sphere photos and all other pano's into one single jpg file that's readily uploadable/viewable on social media or pc. The Mini 3, just like Mini 2, stores 36 individual unstitched jpg files into a panorama subdirectory. You then have to stitch the collection yourself using a separate app such as dji media maker, which yields a 360 deg cylinder, not a sphere. The only way I know to view a sphere shot from mini2 or mini3 is via uploading to dji skypixel. If you like to shoot panoramas, then the mini 3 pro has a HUGE advantage. No fuss, no fiddling with external apps, just view your sphere straight from the drone's sd card.
Thank you so much for this valuable information, as a user of 360 camera myself this was crucially important. Now I know I need to buy Mini Pro 3. Thanks a lot. 👍

Out of these 2, the Mini 3 Pro is the bird for me, but just purchased the Nano Plus and absolutely love it so far. Big fan of DJI tech but wanted something different. Still have my Mavic Air 2 as well.
@Vincent Munoz For one, I purchased it new $629 US Dollars for the fly more combo. If you look at YT videos with mini 3 pro and nano plus comparison. Thanks for the helpful review Shawn! The Mini 3 Pro is one of the best drones DJI has made so far though the Mini3 is also becoming one of the brand's topnotchers. There's always something remarkable about all-around rugged recorders and the Mini 3 is that drone!
6400 instead of 3200 ISO limit does NOT mean double the ISO RANGE(!) See, the Range is defined by the number of stops covered. Starting with both at ISO 100, 3200 means having 6 Stops Range. 6400 adds just one more stop. You basically only win 1/6 of range. Also, smaller resolution (12MP) sensor means bigger pixels, meaning less noise. I would dare to claim you can get the mini 3 to capture the same level of detail at least, when you push 3200 ISO footage to 6400 in post.
Wow, 51 minutes is a world record for drone flight battery duration. Now that DJI has announced a decision to release the SDK for the Mini 3, I will wait and see whether Litchi can enable the Mini 3 to upload GPS data for all waypoints before departing on waypoint flight plan missions. If this drone can become capable of flying Litchi missions that range beyond the signal reach of the RC controller, I will buy this drone in a heartbeat.

If between budget it's either the Mini 3 with the fly more combo and the latest controller with the screen or it's the Mini 3 Pro with the combo but it's the older controller without the screen, which one should I choose?
Great job on the video, but I wouldn't get a DJI for one reason...GeoFencing. I don't need someone locking down my drone because they think they know better than me. It should be up to the user to use the available data and make a smart decision.

They each have their own strengths and weaknesses. The Mavic 3 has better video and image quality straight out of the drone due to its Hasselblad camera and side obstacle avoidance. The Mini 3 Pro though weighs pretty light so you don't even need to register it if you're not using the Pro battery. You only pretty much need TRUST for it. Travel wise, the Mavic 3 just can't win since geofencing will automatically restrain its capabilities as per the drone regulations of the country you're going to, namely Europe. The Mini 3 Pro just doesn't have these issues due to its weight.
No, I do believe they are slightly different. Now I’m basing that on when you go to the product page on the DJ website where it lists compatibility in normally if say, the pro propellers, we’re compatible with the non-pro version. It would list both, but in this case, it appears each one is slightly different.
On the controller with the display, I think you said RC Pro. Can you turn it so the display is at the top in stead of at the bottom where your hands will block the view when flying?
@@AirPhotography I didn't mean physically, I can see that isn't possible, but maybe like a cellphone's display that flips when you turn the phone. Guess that is to much to ask. Guess I will get one with the old display. I still say that was pure stupidity on dji's part. Thanks for respond, great video.
The mini 3 non pro now shoots at 48 megapixels. Shoots video at 4k 60. Basically it has every feature the pro has minus tracking. Because its always been the exact same camera with software locked features

GREAT review! Exactly what I needed to know!!
Glad it was helpful!
I want to use a drone for fossil hunting in the badlands, going up small Vally's on hill sides looking for fossils ranging from the size of a dime to the size of a basketball. Which would be the better way to go.
Does that controller on the table work with the 3? And the newwr fpv setup? Thx.
👍🏼 Brief, informative, intelligibly. thank you.
Just for curiosity sake, may I ask which city you are filming in?
Thank you… after seeing this video will def buy the pro!
Awesome video. f\From production to content to communication style. Very nice
Great video with a lot of useful information, thank you for that.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good video thank you !!! Very helpful !!
Hello does the mini3 use the same propellers and battery format like the mini3 pro?
Thank You this did help me out👍👍
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video, any thoughts on DJI air 3 in the near future if there will be one coming out and if so, what are your predictions on the timeline?
Thank you
I just got my Mini 3 for a first drone ever and now im thinking should I upgrade pro because of obstacle avoidance or do I just practise practise practise
Obstacle avoidance helps but it doesn't work in all situations and with all brake settings. Not to mention birds and neighbours with air guns.
They say Pro version looses connection really easy, even if there's nothing between the pilot and the drone.
Some say it's not issue in standart mini3 version.
Maybe some bug?
I’m gonna buy my first drone next week and I’m excited and scared at the same time! Maybe it would crash or get lost then that would be a total pain in the ass bec of its worth. Help. Please. Any advicessss
thanks
Man... I Just got the DJI Mini 3 and just finished watching this video and I am kind of sad that it doesn't have the tracking or hyperlapse function :(
Mini 3 looks better. It’s price looks better. But, unlike me, most people want OA I think. Got a Nano+ anyway at practically 1/2 price, so hard to sell myself on either one, beyond a gift idea.
If between budget it's either the Mini 3 with the fly more combo and the latest controller with the screen or it's the Mini 3 Pro with the combo but it's the older controller without the screen, which one should I choose?
Nano Plus
My 3 lost connection to the controller and never came back to Home point. I could not find it on my find my drone.
Thanks for this video.
I use a mini-2 and quickshots is an amazing feature. As I understood, mini-3 has no quickshot. Is that correct?
Hello, did you happen to test the MP3 with obstacle avoidance turn-off with any notice of flight time?
Great job on the video, but I wouldn't get a DJI for one reason...GeoFencing. I don't need someone locking down my drone because they think they know better than me. It should be up to the user to use the available data and make a smart decision.
this was very informative
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for the information... I prefer the mini 3 pro 😁
So the 3 (non pro) doesn't follow you? Or circle around you?
Only circle around you. You can move so it will "follow" you. It's not a drone for "selfies".
I am glad i got the mini 3 pro
Man, I loved your video, but can you do anything on your end to increase the volume you're recording at?
I have lousy hearing, and I sure appreciate those vids that are set to louder volumes. With yours I have to set everything to 100%. Thanks, and again, thanks for a very informative clip.
THANK YOU
when will be mini 4 pro release? features expectation?
The price difference of mini 3/pro FMC plus is 300 usd here in Indonesia.
It would be nice if the Mini 2 can shoot videos vertically for Tiktok. Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Does any different in mini 3 and mini 3 pro proppler??
Great video thanks mate, just a quick question; do you know which one is better between the mini 3 pro and the mavic 3? (the larger one)
Very clear
crazy that I was looking at these and this video came out 3 hours ago.
I just bought the Mini 3 and it's awesome! Quick question, does the mini 3 and mini 3 pro have the same propellers? Thanks! Great video!
No, it is built in and cannot be moved. However, I don’t find my hands really block it the way you hold it it’s in full view
The mini 3 shoots video in 4k 30fps
Where did you hear this?
Who Told You That?
