Honestly i still don't know, by the way about the air 3s its max speed is 60mph but to be able to reach it u need to go in gain&expo and max it out, also i've seen a guy that made a short where the air3s was dragging a mavic 3 pro like it was almost nothing (both were in sports mode)
I have both, the Air 3S have a few issues: 1. Moire that is crazy big 2. Aliasing that is awful when you get buildings 3. Compression bitrate that kills extra fine details but applies a damn ugly fake sharpening effect. If they will fix it, is a good drone...
I have both drones and they do compliment each other very nicely...i needed a drone to perform in windy conditions which is where the mini falls flat...the gimbal goes a bit nuts when the wind is up. But, since having the air 3s, i now sling my mini 4 around with a greater ease. 😊
As far as I'm concerned, the Air 3S's 70mm lens and its ability to perform in windy conditions are the two things that nudge it just ahead of the otherwise magnificent and convenient Mini 4 Pro. Anyone choosing a drone will not be disappointed with either. Equipment is really a minor part of the equation, after all. Imagination, editing, and practice, practice, practice are far more important.
I've had the Mini 4 Pro for about a year and done alot of realestate work with it and some nature shooting. It is so quiet and gives fantastic image quality. However in winds and harsher weather the drone struggles. No wonder as it is so light. For me it is actually surprising how capable it is even in proper wind for its size. I bought the Air 3S on release and been flying it loads. I've never got a wind warning and I've taken it out in pretty strong winds. The battery life is great, the 70mm lens gives so many more creative ways of shooting and the low light on the main camera is a big upgrade compared to the Mini. Which I will still use as it is so quiet and easy to bring on shoots.
The air 3s is "better" than the mini 4 pro in almost every way.... apart from the fact its not sub 250g... which unfortunately in the uk is a big big deal! I have the air 3s... its incredible! But even with the a2cofc ... its still pretty limited where you can fly. Its like having a ferarri but only being allowed to drive it at 20mph
I have both these drones and use them both extensively. I live in the Scottish Highlands and miles and miles of space to use both. There's no denying that the 3S is the better photography tool but also that when you do have to fly near buildings or somewhere near people, the sub 250g flexibility is brilliant. I think rather than one vs the other they complement each other. Personal opinion.
@typhoon-7 I also live very close to wide open Welsh countryside... but you only need 1 person to come within 30/ 50m of you and your technically breaking the rules. I think the rules are way to strict for the likes of the air 3s. I think that completing advanced courses like the a2cofc should allow the likes of the air3s and it's c1 label to give us just a bit more freedom. I know there's rhe article 16 thing, but its just another thing to have to do, when I think the a2cofc should give us the same freedom as article 16 in the first place. Just very frustrating for people who do always try to keep within the rules.
@FPV-TV419 yes I agree. I am usually the only person around and we'll within the rules. Once or twice someone has appeared and I pause, try to land if safe or at least make them aware of the drone. Not much else you can do. Never met anyone who minded. One person asked to have photo taken with their friend and gave me their email address! At that point they became "a person involved with the flight" so legally, it was OK!
If you just happened to live in the outer hebrides on one of the islands, and you happened to not have the flight licence... Would you really be bothered about it to not get the air 3s if you happened to live remotely on an island off mainland? Asking for an anonymous lol @@typhoon-7
Agree. DJI Mini 4 Pro is so versatile and quiet that you can fly it in a big hall without any suspicions or getting noticed. A couple of times I see people look up and never realized what they're looking at until I look up myself. Such whisper quiet drone. I like the tele on the Mavic and Air though 😂
Totally agree! I've been flying and Air 2S & Mini 2 for a few years now (the Mini 2) and decided it was time for an upgrade. I was all set for the Air 3S until I thought about the extra freedom that the Mini 2 gave me so bought the Mini 4 Pro instead. No regrets, it's a super drone..... but, I live in the Isle of Man and it's often breezy! On paper the Mini 4 can cope with stronger winds than the Mini 2 could, but in practice the Mini 4 seems to get shaken around a bit even in moderate winds. No huge problem until I came to shoot some 360 degree panoramas the other day. I'd been using Litchi to fly the Air 2S & Mini 2, but with the Mini 4 I've had to go back to Fly with the excellent RC-2 controller. Not generally a problem, but it took me four attempts to shoot a single panorama in a moderate breeze. The panorama would be progressing well until there was a gust of wind, then Fly just gives up with an error message and I had to start again from scratch!! In Litchi it would just pause until the wind calmed a little, then continue with the rest of the panorama. In conclusion, although I love the Mini 4 and RC-2 controller, the Air 2S (very stable even in strong winds) is going nowhere although it may in the fullness of time get replaced with an Air 3S to fly in conjunction with the Mini 4 Pro. Great video confirming the conclusion I'd come to. I'm still very happy with my choice of the Mini 4 Pro as a main 'fly anywhere' drone over the Air 3S.
The main reason anyone would really truly leap to the air 3S is wind stability and more weather range to fly in as the mini4 can’t cope with much more than 10mph gusts and truly be a safe controlled return flight. The Air 3S being the next size up handles the wind considerably better especially on returning against the wind. Every thing else the Mini 4 can do more than adequately with planning flights times light conditions etc. the Mini 4 pro is a great solid package as is the Air 3S but it’s the wind that the air3S shows it’s benefits most as well as its Lidar return to home of course.
I have and use both these drones. They are a perfect pairing for me. I live in the Scottish Highlands where with so much remote space and unpredictable winds between the mountains, the 3S has an advantage but the Mini 4 pro is just so flexible any time I'm near buildings, people or just when it's easier to carry. The 70mm camera on the 3S and better wind capabilities makes the difference for me though. Just expands photography options. I wouldn't sell the mini though. It's too useful.
DJI nini 4 Pro is a king. Due to its compactness, size and performance - it makes fantastic shots. I'm super happy with my DJI Mini 3 Pro. I think, that compactness is one of the most important factors to decide.
Mini 4 Pro may be a king for you. It is however not for me. I was lucky enough to be able to try a Mini 4 Pro and an Air 3 side by side last year when I was deciding which to buy. I ended up buying the Air 3 and never regretted it. The far longer battery life, better performance in windy conditions and dual lense made it the better choice for me for where and how I fly. I swapped my Air 3 for an Air 3S a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Is it a king? No its not a king. It's just a drone. It is however the best I've ever flown and I've flown quote a few different models.
@@geofflittler2035 As I mentioned, for me a size and weight are more important due to frequent travelling. And I'm happy, that I can put the bag with the Mini 3 Pro inside of my backpack and lots of other stuff, instead of carrying another bag. So, yeah, it depends on who needs what.
I prefer the Mini 4 Pro because I own one, and it’s an excellent drone. It’s portable, feature-packed, captures great footage, and is fun to fly. Its convenience during travel makes it my go-to choice. From what I’ve heard, the Air 3S is also a fantastic drone and could be a potential future addition. Great video! 🙏
I have sold both my Mini 4 Pro and my Mavic 3 Pro now for the winter money can just sit in the bank, what with work, terrible weather and short days means I wont be flying much again until the spring anyway, which should be just in time for the Mavic 4 Pro and Mini 5 pro, fully agree that both a mini drone and a bigger drone work really well together for those times when you need the best of both worlds
I thought the difference was substantial. The colors had a huge range on the AIR 3S and the level of detail, the 4 pro looked blended.. the 3S seemed like you could notice individual trees and plants. The beach scenes on the pro looked amazing, but you didnt show beach scenes with the 3s so cant really tell on that Odd they didnt allow camera rotation for the air 3s. When is the mini 5 pro coming do you think?
I just took my 3S up despite UAV Forecast saying no - and it was as stable as I could have hoped for. I lost RC twice and twice it came back - totally awesome. got it 4 weeks ago for £1019 in a Sale (fly more RC2) and I am stunned at how good it is.
Great work. I'm using the Mini 4 pro for roof inspections at the moment, but considering the Air 3s as a bit of an upgrade. This was really interesting. Thank you 👊
Thanks for this very informative video. I have mini 4 pro and thinking to buy an air 3s. But now after watching your vlog. I can say that i dont really need the air 3s. I am just a drone hobbyists for social contents. Thank you so much. Your channel is really a reliable and very helpful to watch. 🥰
How about having an air 3s fly more combo with the RC2 controller and then for a small drone have a DJI NEO combo. The RC2 controller could be also used with the DJI NEO.
I have both drones as well. Air 3S for the 70mm for me, the mini 4 pro for the vertical, true 4K. If the mini 5 pro somehow adds that 70mm additional camera, that will be my only drone
Cheers for the info mate.. Very informative for a newb....so hard to decide between the two due to what I'll be using it for... Keep up the great work ✌️👊👌😅
Thanks for the video! I own both drones you mentioned, and I can confirm they complement each other perfectly in terms of capabilities. Great job! Greetings from Poland, and I truly enjoy following your videos!
Brother, Glad I found yur channel, I have been wanting a drone for years jus afraid to crash it well now retired I bought the mini 4 pro the one with the better batteries and charger and props from DJI jus waiting on delivery from china to Missouri, says Dec. 10th, Anywho jus wanted to say thanks for all you do, I did purchase the cheat sheets from you, Saw another guy sells cheat sheets but yours look so much better, I cannot wait to start flying and with your videos you make it look easy and to the point, I live in the country so I have alot of space to practice in my neighbors pasture, Again thanks bro....
Don't forget you can get the plus battery for the mini 4, I use it and get 30 minutes, I also have the Air 3 which gives me 30 minutes average. I love the air 3 but tend to use the mini 4 more unless it's windy or I need the zoom lense
👊 Great comparison! I fly the Air 2, but looking at upgrading to the Air 3S. I’m already a Part 107 pilot here in the US, so I’m not concerned about an exam. The LIDAR, battery life and the ability to handle the wind better makes the Air 3S a better choice for me. But having both, like you do, is a perfect combo. 👊
Highly agree with you on which one to choose. I just picked up the Air 3s and I already have the Mini 3. The combination of both worlds makes a huge difference. Great video!!!
Well that's a tough decision lol😅. Both are very impressive with excellent video quality 💯 and great range as well. The Air 3S is slightly better I believe. Either way you can't go wrong with either of them. DJI is the best 💯👍. Hi Darren 👋🙂. Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video and God bless you and your family always 🙏. Have a great week and have fun flying your drones
I agree with everything positive about the mini but it seems I'm always hesitant to use the mini because it is invariably too windy. As for noise....the mini does seem to draw attention even though it is quite quiet DB. The noise pitch is however intrusive if not particularly loud. Every time I launch I see people looking around to see where the bee buzz noise is coming from.
I have had a mini 2 for 2 and a half years now (been flying drones for 9 years!) and thought of upgrading to the mini 4 pro....until the AIR 3S came out. Where I live, there are no restrictions under 15kg so the AIR 3S is no problem. I think it's the 70mm lens, night use and extra battery life that will be the winners for me. I wanted a major upgrade as well not an incremental one so now is my chance to leave the mini series behind. I will always keep my mini 2 for those occasions where the AIR 3S is simply not practical or it is a restricted area (Singapore, for example). Thanks for the informative video!
Great vid. Thanks. I wish to purchase a new drone...I'm leaning to either the Air 3S or the Mini 4 Pro...but should I wait for the new Air 4...would love your thoughts?? I've had a Mavic 2 with the DJI Race Goggles for years but it has become cumbersome to transport for family functions in which I need ease and spontaneity.
I had the mini 4 pro for a year and bought the air 3s. I love both and use both when out. You expertly pointed out why and where iI am glad I have both. I love the ability to switch to vertical on the mini 4 pro. Do you need seperate LUTs for each drone?
I've just got air3s i really love the 3x zoom you can make beautiful paralax but unfortunately it's way to loud that i've expected, way more than mini 3 😢 Especially when you actively change direction during the flight.
Hey dude 5:48 the difference is actually pretty clear. Look at the trees, or that wall just to name few. By the way i own Mini 3 pro and Air 3s. Greetings from Japan !
@@DMProductions need to register any drone above 100g (so all of them) and follow the rules. (150m high max, 30 m away from ppl and vehicles, no night time flying, flying within eye sight, need to apply for special permission to fly in high density populated areas)
Coming from someone with a Phantom 3, the air 3s is becoming a great option. The P3a has to have its own back pack. I feel the Air 3s would squeeze would be far easier to transport. Great videos, both this one and the original Air3s last month. Will probably be getting the 3S based on your vids.
Just found your channel! I subscribed. Love your review! I just got my basic license (I'm in Canada). But I've never flown a drown before. I want to do some travel video for a TH-cam channel for friends and family as I retire. If you've never flown a drone before, which would you choose?
Would you say that shooting log on the mini 4 Pro enables you to use the footage professionally. I have never used a drone and have ordered the Mini 4 Pro to learn and practice, I shoot beauty and fashion ads for web, social and POS and would like the ability to drop in some drone footage if possible.
I'm a beginner. My choices were between the Mini 4 Pro and the Air-3S. Although I liked the portability of the smaller Mini 4 Pro, I bought the Air-3S for flight time, wind resistance, IFR and the telephoto lens. I then purchased a NEO fm pkg for the portability. I feel those two drones are a nice combination and the RC's are interchangeable. About the licensing and registration: The sub 250g drones have a big advantage here as you don't have to register the drone and can get closer to controlled airspace, not that you should. However, and this is strictly a personal opinion, all drone pilots (regardless of size) should be licensed as it will solidify your understanding of safety. Here in Canada, we have two licenses for >250g drones: a basic and an advanced. I have passed both where the advanced license is getting close to the level contained in a private manned pilot license. Other than the knowledge the Advanced exam provides, it allows a pilot to fly in controlled airspace "with ATC clearance" just like any other manned aircraft. Why would you?, is the only question. Our basic exam here in Canada is easily passed and very similar to the UK Civil Aviation Authority certificate which I have passed as well. Why did I get it? My knowledge was fresh, I was in the mood and it was free. Same hold true for the US's FAA TRUST exam.
Defo the Air3s, will be getting it next month. Will be used for hiking in Scotland where wind is a problem, also love the 70mm lens, faster speed and battery life. Don’t mind the extra weight or size. Using the Air2 at the moment
Wondering if I can download your cinematic Luts on multiple devices. MacBook Pro, iPad, and iPhone. Air 3s and mini 4 pro. And the cheat sheets as well. Excellent content by the way. Thanks .
I just ordered the mini 4 pro from Amazon since I live in an urban city with older track homes next to each other. I will try it out but most likely return it since the mini 5 pro will be released this summer and will have stronger motors, lidar, a lighter more aerodynamic frame, improved camera and sensor. I wish DGI would come out with a mini that has the two lenses like the air 3s has. It may be on the next iteration.
Never owned drone. Going to purchase the thermal Matrice 30 T. Want to practice with same brand (DJI ) but less expensive drone first. Would you suggest the 3 or the 4 ? Thx
Question - about 80% of the time the M4P would be a great fit for my use but i also want to use video for some website design work backgrounds and it seems the A3s would be better quality based on your review. Any suggestion on which way to go for a first drone?
Thank you for the awesome video, very informative and detailed! I am from Australia and just starting out in my Drone journey a few months ago, started with the Neo and RC N2 controller, but wanted something with a better camera, so got the Mini 4 Pro only 2 weeks after the Neo along with the RC2 controller, am really enjoying it and have made some really nice cinematic videos with it and put them on TH-cam. Wanted to get into some FPV so bought the Motion Controller 3 and the N3 Goggles to use with the Neo, and just recently got the FPV Controller 3 to start practicing with Manual mode on the simulators. Came here to see where I might go next once I have used the Mini 4 Pro more. I feel that this line Is probably the next logical choice, whatever the latest 3S line of drones is at the time. However, I think it will be a while until I decide to upgrade, mainly due to 250g limit, I am planning a holiday to Canada in the next 2 years, a proper 21 day holiday with the rocky rail and the Alaskan cruise, and I don't see me taking a 3S style drone due to the 250g limit restrictions and requiring a license, so it will be the Mini 4 Pro line, so I may even upgrade to a newer version of the Mini 4 Pro before going to Canada. I opted in to get the larger batteries for the Mini 4 Pro (I know that puts it over the 250g limit), but I figured I would probably upgrade to a newer drone or could just buy a couple of smaller batteries for the mIni 4 pro before going on the holiday. Is the Mini 4 Pro series or line of drones be what you would recommend for this sort of Holiday to Canada, our is there a better line? I know the new DJI Flip is upcoming, and I will be keeping an eye on that, but it looks more like it is aimed between the Mini 4 Pro and Neo as it doesn't have the all around sensors and only has the lidar on the front.
I have the Air 2S and I cant see a demonstrative difference between it and the Air 3S that would warrant an upgrade unless I just want that new car smell. I do need a new mini drone though but here is the rub. Do I get a Mini 4 pro now or wait for the inevitable Mini 5 Pro? Which only guessing will hit sometime in the April-May timeframe based on the past releases. Question is how much better can it be than the 4 Pro?
👊Great video! Love my Mini 4 Pro. Started with a Mavic 2 Zoom about 4 years ago. The Air 3S is on my list to get next along with an Avada 2. Keep putting out great videos!
The battery life seems to be a huge deal but doesn't DJI have the intelligent flight batteries that close that gap pretty significantly? Is the reported time that you're getting with the standard ones or the intelligent flight ones?
This is with the DJI Batteries, not the Battery plus which is banned in UK and EU. Using that battery does help with battery performance but won't be the same as the Air 3S still
The only reason that I won’t buy an Air 3s because of the restrictions on it and where I live. In Blackpool, the Mini 4 is the perfect tool. I’d love the mini 4 to be more agile in the wind but you can’t have everything with such a tiny drone. The real weakness for both drones is the dLog-M colour profile. Even DJI won’t tell us what colour space it uses. The only advice DJI gives s to use their own LUT which blows highlights and crushes the blacks. That is a lot of colour information thrown away that could be used. My editing weapon of choice is Resolve and HLG plays nicely because it is a recognised colour space and can be correctly converted to allow me to use all the information gathered with the camera, provided I exposed correctly in camera. It can’t perform miracles if I under expose or blow the highlights.
Excellent video and that's the combination of drones that I currently have. I've also got the Avata 2 and Neo for other types of flying. Got it all covered.
@DMProductions I'm glad I have my Mini 4 Pro. You can't go wrong with the camera quality, which is all I really care about right now. I have enough of what I need to get started with content, my next upgrade will be with the Mavic series. So I'm more than satisfied with my DJI collection. Great review and comparison, Darren!! 👊🏾
💪🏾nice video, thank you for posting. However, if you want 2 drones, why limit yourself to the Air 3S? I’d go for a Mavic 3 Pro, so you have that Hasselblad 24mm to take fantastic pictures. Yes, the specs are a bit worse due to it being an older model, but you get 3 cameras and a professional platform for stills. I’m not much of a video person, so I care more about the stills features, but your mileage may vary
👊I just bought the Goggles 3 and hand controller for my Mini 4 Pro S and took it out for my first time today for a short flight. It looks like it will awesome once I learn how to fly it more confidently, and only wish it had the Lidar for improved obstacle avoidance in low light conditions. Thanks! 👊
👊 I own the Mini 3 Pro now and I've flown it a lot but when it comes to windy conditions and longer fly times I really do need to have the air 3s for sure.
Stangely enough, I've just bought both. I haven't flown the 3S yet, but I wanted a better camera. Having said that. I'm really impressed with the mini 4 pro. About 10 years ago I flow a DJI F550 (Hexacopter) with a GoPro attached. Then in 2016 I stopped flying and did more still photography with a full frame camera. Only recently I decided to get back inot aerial photography so I bought the mini 4 pro. It's actually quite an amazing piece of kit, far superior to the F550 + GoPro I used to fly. If your new to drone flying get the mini 4 pro. But the Air 3S will have more restrictions. I've just started the A2 CofC course so I can fly it in built up areas. Looking forwards to seeing the photos and footage I get from it. Re battery life, on the F550 I'd get about 8 mins. On the 4 Pro I got 22 mins with the battery at 20% (not wise to go below that as it will reduce battery life). so 22 mins seems like an age for me. I can't recommend the Mini 4 pro enough.
Mini 4 Pro because, having never flown a drone before, there's already enough to learn without worrying about additional licensing or registration. I do covet that 70mm lens, though. 👊
Pretty new to drone set ups like this, keep leaning more to the air 3s, looking for a faster quickest tracking for motocross and side by side (SXS, utility vehicles UTV), thinking this will be the best for me unless you have any impute on a higher speed action sports drone that can be done by 1 person. Thanks for such a great video! Also, can you use the same RC2 controller for each of these? Like if I got both like you said, I can see where I could use both lol. 👊
I saw an orange mini drone. It looks like a FIMI . . mini 3. May I ask if you have reviewed this one? I want to buy one for my little sister for Christmas. Can you give me some advice?😃
Even with YT compression, the difference was significant. I didn't even have to look and see if it was "drone A" or "drone B". The 3S was significantly better. That said, I'm sitting 2 feet from a 42" LG C2 OLED at 4k. If I were watching this on my phone, they would be identical. (Except for the telephoto shots... I am convinced I want a tele lens. I'm just struggling to decide if I get the Air 3s, or wait for the Mavic 4.)
I have a DJ mini three and I do want to upgrade and this video is one I've been watching. I've probably watched it three times now. I just want to state this and then maybe you can help me. I live in a beautiful coastal place where I take a lot of images with my landscape camera I'm a professional landscape photographer under Australian ... the reason I'm leaning towards the air 3S is simply because it's better in the wind.
@@DMProductions a few friends have said to me hey Nev why don't you wait for the new Mavic to come out but the new Mavic is gonna be a lot more expensive and a bigger drone and yes that means better image quality all that blah but I just don't feel that I need to do that and that would be in Australia another thousand dollars or $1500 on top I think upgrading from the mini 3 to the air S3 is a good upgrade
I really want someone on TH-cam to compare the waypoints on both of these drones because I have the mini 4 pro and when I use waypoints to begin recording me from a low but reasonable altitude, relatively above my height, it always fails to begin the path. Also, the waypoint path is always a few feet off from the path I instruct it.
Great video 👊 I actually have a Mini 4 Pro and have been wanting a bigger drone and have been waiting for Air 3S to be released. My birthday is coming up and if I don't get an Air 3S then, I'll certainly order it myself.
Great video, again 😉 Since I´m a owner of the mini 3 pro and I had hoped to see that the air3S would have got the ability to get real 20-megapixel picture mode, but not, I´m not sure if I will buy one.... maybe for the zoom lens? …I fully agree your concept, having a lighter/smaller and a larger drone must be the best setup. I currently looking to buy a used Air 2s to get “larger prints”, do you have tested the air 3s to use tele lens to let say shoot a high res.picture with the photo mode “pano-wide"?
I'm looking at getting a mini 4 pro soon mainly for holidays, do I have to take a test to fly it in the EU (Canary Islands) ? Also looking at the Air 3S for the future, does taking the multiple choice test make it less restricted? Thanks 👍
As far as I know, the "multiple choice test" is needed for the mini 4 pro too for non-EU citizens but I don't think it should be an obstacle, it can be done for free :) However, you should check if any insurance is needed in Spain. For example where I live (Hungary), C0 category requires no insurance except in urban areas. C1 drones though require insurance everywhere as of 2024. And if I wanted to use the mini in an urban area here then I would have to request for some permission (free) via the app, much prior to using the drone (few weeks time!).
👊 there ya go from Airdrie Alberta Canada! I just sold my mini 3 pro and hoping for good black Friday sales on the Mini 4 pro. Still have my old Mavic 2 pro!
Thank you for sharing this video. For Black Friday the Air 3S is only $100 more US then the mini 4 pro. My brain was in a tail spin because I didnt know which one to get now. I already have the DJI neo. So I think I will go with the Air 3s. Thanks again for the info.
Here’s your fist pump 👊🏻 Great video. I have the mini 4 pro and this evening have just passed my a2cofc I’ll be joining FPV too so I’ll have article 16 so I’m a lot less restricted so I’ll be treating myself to an air 3s for Christmas! 😍
Keep putting off the jump to drone flying gut after this I am feeling more comfortable with jumping in with the Mini 4 pro and then maybe something bigger later. Thanks for the great comparison.
I have the mini 4 Pro with the extended batteries so it must be registered, but I don't see any problem with that as it takes less than 5 minutes and no cost as a recreational licensed pilot.
Which would you pick??? Get DJI Settings Cheat sheets and Luts here - dmprovisuals.com

How did you get a drone on to p and o and get the shot in Olden?
I have sold both my Mini 4 Pro and my Mavic 3 Pro now for the winter money can just sit in the bank, what with work, terrible weather and short days means I wont be flying much again until the spring anyway, which should be just in time for the Mavic 4 Pro and Mini 5 pro, fully agree that both a mini drone and a bigger drone work really well together for those times when you need the best of both worlds
👊 great video. I'm sold on the Air 3s after this video. That low light sensor quality is so good!
I thought the difference was substantial. The colors had a huge range on the AIR 3S and the level of detail, the 4 pro looked blended.. the 3S seemed like you could notice individual trees and plants.
The beach scenes on the pro looked amazing, but you didnt show beach scenes with the 3s so cant really tell on that
Odd they didnt allow camera rotation for the air 3s.
Thank you 👊
How do you get started with Roof inspection?
Thanks!
Thank you bro
I have both of these drones. I love both for what they are.
Glad it helped !
How about having an air 3s fly more combo with the RC2 controller and then for a small drone have a DJI NEO combo. The RC2 controller could be also used with the DJI NEO.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the comparison. I currently own a Mini 4 Pro and I love it. I may, like what you said, purchase a larger drone. Air 3s is the goal.
I have air3s, should i get mini 4 pro or avata 2 as secondary drone? (I know how to fly fpv)
I really enjoyed your presentations. Scientific fact mixed with practical experience.
I have both drones as well. Air 3S for the 70mm for me, the mini 4 pro for the vertical, true 4K. If the mini 5 pro somehow adds that 70mm additional camera, that will be my only drone
What do I need to do for the Air 3S in the united states? Do I need register with the FAA and if so how long of a process is that
Cheers for the info mate..
Thank you that means a lot
I am waiting to see (hopefully before Christmas) the new Mavic 4 that's maginally heavier than 3s, and using a m43 sensor !!
And it makes the drone a bit heavier which helps somewhat in windy conditions
👊 Great comparison! I fly the Air 2, but looking at upgrading to the Air 3S. I’m already a Part 107 pilot here in the US, so I’m not concerned about an exam. The LIDAR, battery life and the ability to handle the wind better makes the Air 3S a better choice for me. But having both, like you do, is a perfect combo. 👊
Highly agree with you on which one to choose. I just picked up the Air 3s and I already have the Mini 3. The combination of both worlds makes a huge difference. Great video!!!
The Mini 4 has the plus batteries though. Wouldn't the battery life be comparable if you use those bigger batteries?
Well that's a tough decision lol😅. Both are very impressive with excellent video quality 💯 and great range as well.
The Air 3S is slightly better I believe. Either way you can't go wrong with either of them. DJI is the best 💯👍.
Hi Darren 👋🙂. Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video and God bless you and your family always 🙏. Have a great week and have fun flying your drones
Nice video. Did you try the plus battery for the mini 4 pro?
I have a dji mini 2 se so I think i may need an upgrade to the air 3s.
Great Vlog! I love my mini 4 pro but will definitely upgrade in the future
Also just bought your luts 😍
Thank you I appreciate you
@@DMProductions very new to this, is there a video to show how I can add them to cap cut ?
Purly for still photography, which one? Is there a better one than these two?
I had the mini 4 pro for a year and bought the air 3s. I love both and use both when out. You expertly pointed out why and where iI am glad I have both. I love the ability to switch to vertical on the mini 4 pro. Do you need seperate LUTs for each drone?
I've just got air3s i really love the 3x zoom you can make beautiful paralax but unfortunately it's way to loud that i've expected, way more than mini 3 😢 Especially when you actively change direction during the flight.
I hear what you're saying. What about the Air 3S with a NEO?
yeh that works
Hey dude 5:48 the difference is actually pretty clear. Look at the trees, or that wall just to name few. By the way i own Mini 3 pro and Air 3s. Greetings from Japan !
Hey can’t wait to come and visit Japan, how is it for flying drones out there?
@@DMProductions need to register any drone above 100g (so all of them) and follow the rules. (150m high max, 30 m away from ppl and vehicles, no night time flying, flying within eye sight, need to apply for special permission to fly in high density populated areas)
Thank you for your videos. Do you think that the air 3S can be used for indoor real estate?
Sure it can, the avata 2 is great for this too
Coming from someone with a Phantom 3, the air 3s is becoming a great option.
I have the mini 4 pro. Is it worth upgrading to the Air 3S for the lidar sensor?
Thx
I’m new into drones and bought a Mini 3 but already have the Air 3S as my next step in mind. Thank you for this great review!
Good choice!
I bought the mini 3 LUTs from you 😊
Love the video, Question: "How to zoom using DJI Google 3? I see the X1 in the Goggles but do not know how to increase it to x2 or x3? Thanks
That is a question for next year hopefully!
👊Great video! Love my Mini 4 Pro. Started with a Mavic 2 Zoom about 4 years ago. The Air 3S is on my list to get next along with an Avada 2. Keep putting out great videos!
🤜🤜 yes avata 2 and air 3s would be an awesome combo
Would love both but it becomes expensive. I am looking at Air3s which I think ticks all my boxes
Excellent video and that's the combination of drones that I currently have. I've also got the Avata 2 and Neo for other types of flying. Got it all covered.
You sure have ! Love it haha
I'm looking to add the Avata 2 to my 3s and Neo, thinking it'll scratch the "sport" flying itch, I'm a newbie so I'm hoping it's a good decision?
@DMProductions I'm glad I have my Mini 4 Pro. You can't go wrong with the camera quality, which is all I really care about right now. I have enough of what I need to get started with content, my next upgrade will be with the Mavic series. So I'm more than satisfied with my DJI collection. Great review and comparison, Darren!! 👊🏾
Nice one buddy, glad your enjoying the drone!
@@DMProductions Thanks much!! Yes indeed, looking forward to making some great content in 2025. Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!
Thanks! 👊
👊🏻 great work as usual
🤜🤜
Funnily enough i started with an F550 also... have skipped the air series though myself.
Mini 4 Pro because, having never flown a drone before, there's already enough to learn without worrying about additional licensing or registration. I do covet that 70mm lens, though. 👊
I have the Mini 3 Pro I would love to get Air 3s🙂💙👍Thank You Great Video👍
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to the club ! I have Mini 3 pro and i bought Air 3s ;)
Thanks for the video. Question:
My budget is 1k
In you opinion, should I buy 4 Pro Fly More or Air 3S (standard)?
Just bought my first ever 3s and NOW I watch this video. I think i might of made a mistake in choosing the 3s. I am in nyc and it’s super crowded. 😬
Hmm yes mini 4 pro maybe but air 3s with those tele lens shots 😮💨
I saw an orange mini drone. It looks like a FIMI . . mini 3. May I ask if you have reviewed this one? I want to buy one for my little sister for Christmas. Can you give me some advice?😃
I checked out a Fimi drone a few years back and back then it needed a lot of work, may be better now
mavic 4 pro is gonna be nuts lol, if the air 3s is any indication
Even with YT compression, the difference was significant. I didn't even have to look and see if it was "drone A" or "drone B". The 3S was significantly better. That said, I'm sitting 2 feet from a 42" LG C2 OLED at 4k. If I were watching this on my phone, they would be identical. (Except for the telephoto shots... I am convinced I want a tele lens. I'm just struggling to decide if I get the Air 3s, or wait for the Mavic 4.)
Great information. I’ve been looking for this sort of comparison. I currently have the air 2s and have debated upgrading or adding the mini4 pro
Hope it helped with that decision!
I have the mini 4 pro haven’t used it yet only had it a few days. But can’t wait to get it up.
Very well done video. I decided on the Mavic 3 .
Yeah for sure air3s would be the better choice !
🤜 let’s hope you get it!
In the side by side just look at the shadows and darker areas, big difference if you ask me
get a neo. i always grab my neo most of the time and my air 3s and mini 4 pro are always in the bag.
Great video, again 😉
Since I´m a owner of the mini 3 pro and I had hoped to see that the air3S would have got the ability to get real 20-megapixel picture mode, but not, I´m not sure if I will buy one.... maybe for the zoom lens?
Awesome that sounds a good Xmas present !
@@DMProductions I’ve asked my wife for a Neo on its own too so I can use one of the RC2 controllers for it
🤜 I got the DJI Neo first then soon afterwards got the DJI Air 3S - that is a good combination too!
These ppl on here are very talkative. A lot of reading, but I appreciate the extra knowledge.
