Good day! I bought Mini SE and unfortunately in my first try I crashed it and now it says that the Gimbal is stuck, i figured out the flexible cable was ripped, now I want to change it but the available only in the Philippines is cable of Mini 2, is it possible to change it to my Se? Range? Noise levels? Speeds? Modes? Extras? Tough to make a decision without knowing any of the most major drone related specs
The Mini 2 has improved range (which I mentioned), they have very similar noise levels and speeds. The main difference comes with the Mini 2 (4K, RAW photos and improved range/controller design).

Thanks. I bought SE - this is my first drone and I agree with your assessment. It is suitable for non-extreme filming and can replace a tripod and camera crane. I think 2.7K will be enough for me for the near future. And in terms of efficiency, the Mini is very good. I think this direction of drones will develop.

Very solid review! I like how you point out the strong points of the mini 2 without bashing on the other versions. I just wish they had included the better signal transmission to the SE. Other than that it would be absolutely sufficient to me in the below 250g class. I even believe it would not have hurt the sales of the mini2 as many people just want 4K. While it does look better, honestly 2.7K still looks amazing and it’s not the higher resolution that makes a great video.
I completely agree. The Mini SE is still an awesome drone with 2.7k and improved wind resistance. These three drones are astonishing and all have a place in the market 🚀

Great review! My mavic mini trails like that as well. Almost hit a tree from behind because of that!
That’s dangerous! I’m not a big fan of the trailing issue, it makes it hard to achieve subtle movements with the drone.

Sounds like the SE if buyer is on a budget, or the Mini 2 if they want the very best under 250g drone. I have the Mini 2 myself, got earlier this year and love it!

I think mini se sound is less noise than mini 1, or same like mini 2 sound, when i was watching other drone video.
Good video! Am contemplating between the mini se and the mini 2 and am leaning towards the mini 2 atm. Mini 2 gets a bit expensive with the combo but I reckon the combo is more worth it than just the basic set

Looking at picking up a second hand mavic mini to start out, will be my first drone to have a bit of fun while out camping etc, or should I save the extra for a mini 2. Won’t be used regularly just here and there really
If you can afford the Mini 2 then it is worth the upgrade. Alternatively, the Mavic Mini will do a great job and has everything that you need 🚀

I believe you can adjust the trailing you're referring to in the settings. Being a cinematic drone it's trying to make all the camera movements smooth.

I am still in the process in choosing but i would go for the SE since I’m on a tight budget but also i have no experience flying drones. I’m planning to keep on practicing with the SE and then when i feel more comfortable i can switch to higher models…My question is, what would happen if i lost connection with the SE? Would the drone return to it’s home base?
If the drone loses connection with the controller for more than 11 seconds then it will automatically return to home.

Your “Trail” you’re talking about can be adjusted in your settings, (and I believe) advanced gimbal settings, and where you change your yaw response and gimbal rotation speed… I know that’s where it is in my Mini 2… Idk about the Mini or the se…

You only have one or two things you can adjust in the Fly app "advanced gimbal settings" when flying the original Mavic Mini and I know yaw sensitivity is not adjustable. You don't have the same options you have with the Mini 2. There is no way to stop the yaw from overshooting unless you let the stick re-center early. I noticed that when I flew the Mini 2 for a while and decided to fix my original Mini. I thought I had damaged the little guy but it seems that is the way they are.

Good question, I do not know about this. I would recommend taking it into a drone store for repair 🧑🔧

this question is a little random but I been wondering of getting a small drone with decent fly-time (25 mins at least), silent propellers (to avoid attention), flying range, as well as small design of the drone itself (to also avoid attention) resistant to wind, rain (if possible), can go to a decent height like a tree, & have a decent camera video quality 1080p.
I’m new to owning a drone but idk much about them or where to look. It seems that the DJI drones are the best on the market rn in terms of performance, but besides the DJI drones are there other drones u know if that meet the expectations I listed above? plz help & thank u 👏

That will depend on your budget and needs. Ask yourself what you will be using the drone for and if your budget permits spending extra on the Mini 2. Is the signal okay in suburban areas? I want to fly around the town but I’m not sure if the WiFi will hold up.
You should always fly your drone away from houses and therefore suburbs. Although, when I fly in a local park near houses, the connection holds up fine. It will occasionally drop out if you fly too far away but I would always recommend flying in areas with limited interference 📶
I have the mini 2 and it was the best thing I could have done. The mini 2 is a beast 💪🏽 and I got up there plus I love the controller the 4k pictures and videos in 4k..

Help neded i had phantom 3 but sold it,now i have dji tello fun drone but i am looking into more serious, i have option to buy mavic mini fly more or mini se fly more for same price but cant decide are they the same drone. help lol

Can you tell me what the purpose of having extra charged batteries for the drone when the battery in the controller cannot be replaced by another charged battery?? In my case I’m using the drone mini 2 that comes with three batteries.. many thanks in advance
You can easily use 3 drone batteries and still have charge left in your controller. I rarely have to charge my drone controllers.
Great comparison Dan; I have also had the 3 x Drones and did some testing however focused on the Video quality; after looking at the 2.7k shot on the SE, there is no doubt the camera has been tweaked !; I believe (for different reasons) its actually better than the 4K Mini 2, probably due to some over sharpening of the image; I also compared it to the Air 2 and it holds up pretty well ! Keep the comparisons coming !!!

@@dosomestuff1949 I have just purchased a Mini 1 which has the updated firmware which now allows "Pro Mode" with the Camera / Video settings, the quality is amazing!!! better image than the Mini 2 !!!!
@@julianmclean3869 pro mode(which the mini 2 also has) just allows u to adjust iso shutter exposure in video mode. Is the image itself sharper or smth cuz the mini 2 has 4k and in the comparisons I’ve seen the mini 2 is slightly better but not by much and it isn’t too noticeable
I'm looking into getting a DJI mini se or a mini 2 but my phone is only a 4G and 32 GB and my phone doesn't support the go fly app. The drone requires 5G and a minimum of 64 GB. Any phone suggestions for the best drone experience?
I have found that iPhone is the most stable experience but I haven’t tested enough Android phones to comment.

The Mini 2 offers 10KM using OcuSync 2.0 and the Mini SE offers 4KM using advanced WIFI 📶
Does the Mini SE have any improvement in signal strength compared to the Mini 1? I know they both use enhanced wifi, but did putting the internals into the Mini 2 body give it better antennae or anything else that would improve the signal?
I do not believe so, nothing that I have noticed anyway.
Hi there, I have been using a dji mini se for a bit and I have utterly destroyed it. I am going to upgrade to the mini 2 and was wondering if you know if I can use the same battery?? They look the same but the guys in the shop couldn’t tell me 🤦♀️
They are interchangeable, you can use the Mini SE batteries in the Mini 2. I would recommend testing them first though (check the battery reading in the settings to make sure that the readings are normal).
Be advised that they don’t advertise them as interchangeable to cover themselves so be careful and buy Mini 2 batteries if the readings are off or if you’re noticing any issues.

I owned the mini about a yr ago and I'm considering buying another cause the price was an issue for me last yr. I don't really care much about pic quality cause I just enjoy flying. The Mini 2 has better camera options, it can shoot up to 4K as well.
I have the original Mavic Mini and haven't anything to compare it too. My observations are that the controller very frequently drops connection with the drone and as you stated it is very subject to wind. Eventually I'll loose the drone and upgrade to a model with active tracking. Shame there's no way to upgrade with parts (propellers?) from the newer model.

Oddly enough, The trailing issue that you mention can be easily fixed by adjusting the Gimble setting. By increasing the number from 0-100 or 0-10 your drone becomes more responsive and with the correct setting, the drone can come to a full stop on a dime or a rolling smooth start. I guess it depends on what you are using it for, filming or fun.

@@DansTubeTV yea… I know for my Mini 2 I can change it… I believe it’s adjustable for FPV flying so you have better control and you can drift around trees/objects as your correcting for your next manoeuvre
True but also there’s a noticeable different between the way he holds the stick on the Mini Vs the SE. On the mini, he kind of drags and lags on the stick carefully; look closely. On the SE he flicks it. Not saying there isn’t a drag, but it’s my observation. I enjoyed the review but I’d take that bit of information with a grain of salt (for those who haven’t purchased yet)

Recently purchased the Dji factory re furbished Mini2 combo $740 delivered vs mini SE Combo $$619 = $120 difference… a better deal i think.
I have had most if the DJI’s since the Phantom 1 for work, now retired i have sold the Spark for $500 as i needed more flying time 10mins vs 28-30mins per battery. Thanks for the video.

hey there i’m looking at the mini se but i live in an urban area close to a lot of houses and trees and power lines and wi-fi lines would you suggest the upgrade to the mini 2 or stick to the se
I would suggest adventuring away from urban areas as you will find that the shots will be a little boring. I would suggest finding locations away from people and buildings. In these scenarios either drone will be fine. If you are set on urban flight then the Mini 2’s improved transmission will make a big difference.

You can use the Mini 2 batteries in the Mini SE, I believe that both drones are using the exact same batteries so it shouldn’t be an issue.

If you take the stickers off of the DJI mini holes are behind them. They don't have screens, but there are holes for more cooling.
