I actually really like the blueish grey color on the ends of your dreads here. It makes your mane look a bit like you're wearing a wolf-pelt or you just have wolfy looking hair... very cool :)

your dreads are perfect in my opinion! i just dreaded mine a few months ago and they started out skinner and were past my waist, and they have shrunk and thickened significantly! they look similar to yours, but mine are not as mature yet. i also have loose ends and my more mature looking dreads look just about the same as yours! it makes me so excited to see how they'll begin to look within the next couple of months. :)

Um... not so well :S It was okay at first, but after awhile they started coming out (I think this is because my hair is straight), and there are like, bumps at the roots now. I'll be going to a professional sometime soon to get it sorted out. But other than that I'm enjoying the experience. People keep telling me they love my hair xD

Hey Anna, I recently got my hair dreaded and think I can answer your question. You will loose about half of your length depending on the method you use to have your hair dreaded. With Backcombing you have more control as you can decide how much to backcomb there fore deciding how thick the dreads will be and also how long or short they will be. I had hair close to my belly button and it is not sitting at about shoulder length using the backcombing method. They are thick dreads though.
As far as the loose hair look at the top of the head: When dreading your hair the part closest to the root will remain a looser look for at least an inch or two on all dreads. You can start the dread further from the root to keep a "Normal" hair look on the top but this can make it more difficult for the dreads to lock up during the younger stages of them before they become mature.

im glad to see that i do almost the same thing with my dreads, can relate to a lot of your videos (makes me feel less lost when i style my dreads) tho, ive had my dreadlocks for about 4 years now and i started to comb them out last week, got half of them left (all in front/sides are combed out) can still do some of these styles without looking like a complete idiot haha. great video

YOU need to ultimately decide (I suggest after much research and soul searching). How and why you decide to start them will affect your relationship with them when/if you go forward with the decision. xo

There are no such thing as a a good or bad head of dreads... unless they're dirty (and even then). They're all wonderful.

I like the tint, it's kind of natural like an animal fur colour with the blonde - in a good way! Like something from where the wild things are hehe
You have nice facial features and skin tone/elasticity. Not a big fan of blocky Matty looking dreads but it suits you, any way keep it up
