Hey Bill, I believe I.purchased them from sportco in fife. They are made by SMI, offered in 28 and 36 inch harnesses. Cabelas also stocks them but I think they cost more there. Only issue I had was one of the lines tie came undone at the hook. Im just going to hog ring the line above the clips for reassurance.
Good looking out, I guess I missed that. I will be changing a couple bouys out this week. After crabbing this weekend I think a lot of folks missed it. Thanks for watching!
I edited the video description to indicate all bouys need to be red and white. I was contacted on the water yesterday after pulling my last pot. They inspected my vessel for safety equipment but said nothing about the bouys. Got a new safety sticker. Lol. Thanks again for pointing that out. Going shopping this week. Tight lines!
Nice video. Just a comment on your setup… they changed the rule a while ago regarding crab buoys. Only half-red, half-white buoys are allowed for crab pots. The yellow you attached is illegal. WAC 220-330-020 (9)(a) “All buoys attached to crab gear must be half red or half fluorescent red in color and half white in color. Flags and staff, if attached, may be any color. Violation of this subsection is an infraction, punishable under RCW 77.15.160.”
I appreciate the message I have one more video those green bouys will make an appearance in. After that those 2 pots will be all red and white as they have been switched out. Thanks for watching and dropping in. Tight lines.
Pretty simple design. A lot of guys do crabbing in my area. Thanks for sharing this.
Great tips. I'll be coming back to this one when I get a crab pot. 👍
Just all red and white bouys!

Nice tutorial! Crab on!
Thanks, yeah the crab video will be good!
Nice tutorial Piscatorian! Hopefully the crabs come crawling to your frozen crab chum when this pot hits the water! Tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
Yeah, it worked really well along with american shad.
I want to catch crab now!
Where did you get your harness? Like you said all my harnesses get rusted and eventually get to the point where they get unfunctional.

They changed the regulations on ya. All buoys must now be red and white. In last years regulations on page 135. Great tutorial though. Thanks

Very welcome. As fishermen we need to look out for each other. Good luck crabbing, maybe I’ll see ya on the water!
