Thank You for the great video and advise! It was actually helpful for me that you repeated the knots a few times. I know this was unintentional for the most part because the rope was so uncooperative, but it really made it clear what you’re doing.

Thanks for this video! I’ve been searching for something like this for a few weeks now and haven’t found anything good until yours! Going to go use these knots next time I go out!

Thank you for this video. I am new at using the crab traps to catch crabs. Your video is precise and clear for what I was looking for rigging my ropes to the floats

May I offer a helpful tip? If you have a short piece of 1” pvc pipe, you can wrap the rope around the pipe, run the tag end through the pipe and then pull the pipe out. If it helps you to be more comfortable, you can leave your finger in the pipe while you are wrapping the loops.

Great video good thing he did things multiple times and slowly! If sleepy Joe Biden had a cool younger brother this would be him. Just got back last week crabbing here in Oregon caught 28 crabs in 2 days not a bad weekend.

Can I use bottles as buoys ? Because I have craw fish traps they have empty bottles with a inside cutting of pant as markers can I do that with crab pots

I don't know why but these knots have big tendency of slipping through.

I don’t think that’s gonna work when you have two hundred feet of line.

Sorry, but were you trying to make a helpful video or were you just trying to make a fun video showing mistake after mistake? I seriously am not sure. 🧐

Ikr I couldn’t figure it out. To me it seemed like a lot of wasted rope but that’s my opinion

I reckon ur comments come under the heading of “no good deed goes unpunished”. Give this guy a break. Do u expect everyone on you tube to be professionals? He deserves credit for trying to provide useful information. A little planning and editing makes this a a really good video. I found it very helpful.

@@Sammy-nw3zk I did not intend for my comment to sound mean spirited. I had not viewed any of this gentleman’s previous videos so I thought maybe he really had a dry sense of humor and this was his way of having fun. I worked for 30yrs with a coworker with a sense of humor like that that I always enjoyed but other of my coworkers never understood him. My apologies if the creator or anyone else took offense to my comments 🙏

@@fishhunt9874 no worries FH I understand where you're coming from. Perhaps he was trying to add a little comedy to his video. Im glad he made it because it was just the information I needed. Just hope it helps me catch lots of crab. 👍

@@Samantha-cw1ci I am all for that! 4 new traps and a new Discoverey Bay pot Hauler on my boat. No more hand hauling 30lb pots on slimy ropes from 200’ for me. Hands free at 160 feet per minute!
