👍👌👏 I'm currently watching your older stuff because I simply can't get enough of your great content. Best regards, luck and especially health to you and Charlie.
"Damn you Cleetus McFarland" lmaooo. Hell yeah brother! Also, tell Charlie his turbo-sneeze is spot on! Lol. "Bolts are all tight, exhaust is all tight… I'm tight." I came from the Forester, but ended up laughing my ass off lmao. Keep it up!
I've watched a few of your videos today and I'm impressed that you tackle automotive projects. Good for you! It's good to see young people take up the hobby/work.
By recirculating exhaust gases into the combustion chamber the EGR cools down the combustion chamber, curtailing some of the NOx gases and reduces detonation thus increasing the octane of the gasoline. I believe in my humble point of view, that deleting the EGR will increase the operating cost. If your are concerned about the EGR fouling the intake, the culprit could actually be the low friction piston rings now being used by the manufacturers as per Pat Gross Garage’s program. Perhaps his suggestion and others of using an oil catch can might be the way to protect the intake cleanliness. Perhaps a good program could be using and ascertaining if the CRC Intake Valve cleaner kit is successful or not! Take care and regards from Costa Rica! Robert
It is generally accepted that recirculated hot exhaust gases bake the oil mist from crankcase blow-by onto the intake valves, so deleting EGR does make sense, from the standpoint of keeping valves clean. So does adding an oil mist catch can (and using low-volatility, fully-synthetic oil). These mods are a lot cheaper than media-blasting fouled valves every 30k - 50k miles.
You are so funny when you’re tired. I know when you are because it just comes out of you. Good job despite the camera issues. Enjoyed the tail twitching at the end of the video. Hope Charlie doesn’t get pissed over that crack. It’s just me! Guilty!
Excellent video! Your editing skills are really improving! Thanks so much :-) FYI, GoPro is not the product it used to be, try a Sony FDR-X3000, those are awesome and not too expensive.
Lol... I had to recollect myself after that intro. Love the guide video though! Didn't realize the EGR delete was that involved... good to know! I remember taking the stock J-pipe on my 15' WRX was a nightmare... imagine everything you just did but with rusted hardware because of the wonderful salty winter roads here (yayyy!) I ended up stripping the nut on the top right turbo stud and had to get a set of Irwin nut removers! (x.x) I conquered though! I know it's a little late now but I definitely would have recommended replacing the turbo studs with ones from the Grimmspeed J-Pipe hardware kit, it makes a world of difference if you ever plan to change your j-pipe off again; since your penetrating lube wasn't even enough for you an all.... ;P
Awesome video! How do you not break nails, cut hands through gloves and don't swear is beyond me! Love it though! Exhaust systems (I've replaced a few) are head whacking, pain in the neck jobs! 👏
Hi Sarah, I am trying to confirm the correct part number of the Invidia catless J-Pipe for the 2014-2015 FA20DIT Forester 2.0 XT. I am getting very conflicting advice on whether the INVIDIA HS15SWADPO (2015-Up Subaru WRX FA 2.0 Automatic Catless Down-Pipe with Wideband) was the actual unit used in your instal. Your confirmation one way or the other will determine if I proceed to order the INVIDIA J-Pipe. Much obliged and thank you in advance. Rgds, Ian
Hey Sarah!!! Does Invidia have a catted J-Pipe for the Forester???? I'm thinking about doing a catted J-Pipe...STI Mid-pipe (with the little resonator...and then I already have a Subispeed Axleback. Your thoughts?
Just curious, before all of this, was one of your first mods a Cobb access port? you mention in the other vids tuning so before I even begin to buy all this noise making stuff, do i need to be smart and buy an access port first?
Floordford It’s a know issue with Direct Injection cars, they have problems with excessive carbon build up on the valves. Removing the EGR reduces that problem as well as reduced knock in hot desert climates (where I live) that often reach 120 degrees outside in the summer.
Hi Sarah - Love your channel (subscribed) and content...Keep it coming! I have a 2017 CWP Forester XT Premium. I'm currently on a stg 1 protune and the CVT is holding up great (tuned at 11K when cobb software became available and currently at 26K), therefore I feel good about getting a J-pipe, EGR delete and bumping her tune to stg 2. How has your CVT been holding up? Anyways, I really like the clean exterior mods you have done (LED's in front bumper "vents", front lip, wheel, STi badging and I am sure I am missing other stuff). Do you have a mod list with vendors by chance? The exterior is clean, close to stock in appearance, but just enough to make it look like one badass mean FXT, IMO! Missing my 2011 STi:(
Dude, I’m a chick. I have been so into your channel, but I don’t know a whole lot about cars. My dad and bro are both mechanics, but I didn’t pick up much more than changing tires and/or managing oil changes. I’m also a recent Subie owner (wuz up ‘19 Ascent)! What’s your advice about get my hands dirty in mechanics? Hubs and I are thinking about working on his 2008 Jetta as our project car (he really wants another Subie). Love your channel! You’re so badass!
heheeh innuendo's, are you a fan of craig furguson? also, is that your mates vf ss chev? from australia, i get alittle excited when i see aus cars in other countries.
francis Chevy ss. Basically it's a rebadged holden. They MIGHT be built on the same line even. Don't quote me but I believe I heard that on motor trends review on the ss
hi Sarah I'm Tony from Sinaloa Mexico you can give me your address possibly go this Christmas to Nevada I would like to take my forester xt 16 'with bomba racing valve, aem intake and ebc control of grimspeed i have progamer to see if you can help me install some good tgv delete and put some egr pls.
I love ex military you tubers, we can make any conversion dirty lol, i swear to much working on cars so could never do your job. And you tube fucked you cause i didn't get a notification, am i the only one? i was just Lucky i got bored with sanding the 180 and noticed your upload.
*Every other girl ever:* Hey! I have breasts, awesome! Now I have the ability to control the entire male population! *Sarah:* Aw damn, my breasts make it hard to use the GoPro chest strap. Now I can't get all those awesome shots of me working on my car... P.S You aren't weird ;) Normal people are weird. Also, "military stuff"? Were you in the army?

Sarah your videos are even great the second time. We have really grown to love you as TH-cams car gal!
Always love seeing your work ethic! That mechanics life is not joke 🔧 Keep up the good work!
That’s a rough sounding cold start. Good thing you changed it back.
I've watched a few of your videos today and I'm impressed that you tackle automotive projects. Good for you! It's good to see young people take up the hobby/work.
I really enjoy these up close upgrades. Thanks for going through all of the difficulties involved with filming and performing the updates.
I feel like 99% of your innuendos would go unnoticed unless you pointed them out lol
lmao
Similar sentiments lool
She's a 'that meant TWO things' kinda gal.
Always love a good Leeloo comment!
Love your how to videos, very informative, and entertaining! Don't lose that great sense of humor.
Good job on the turbo nuts. I stripped the hard to reach one, but a socket with teeth got it loose, thank goodness.

just bought a 17 forester xt absolutely amazed at your skills 🤟🏼

No more huggin trees for this Subaru
Ok two things, the "Damn you Cleetus McFarland" had me laughing pretty good, then the "Im ti-BEEP" had me rolling! great work!
Its good to see you put things back in their hole
recirculating burn gasses also reduces final burn temperature in the heads, so reduces "ping"...
Description says Forester XT I liked before I even watch it!
Excellent video! Your editing skills are really improving! Thanks so much :-) FYI, GoPro is not the product it used to be, try a Sony FDR-X3000, those are awesome and not too expensive.
It’s loud. Want to get rid of my rusty factory heatshields but I don’t think I could do a long term relationship with the exhaust note.
Lol... I had to recollect myself after that intro. Love the guide video though! Didn't realize the EGR delete was that involved... good to know!

Nice work Sarah. Charlie, you're a lucky guy.
Making me laugh on a Friday morning :D hahaha So good!
***very nice job indeed Sarahh** will be attempting on my XT very soon..gracias
EGR cooler valve pipe. Essentially a condenser that could be used on a "water purification device". Hint
Hmmmmmm
Cannon plugs! The bane of my existence when someone cross threads it
Awesome video! How do you not break nails, cut hands through gloves and don't swear is beyond me! Love it though! Exhaust systems (I've replaced a few) are head whacking, pain in the neck jobs! 👏
Michael Glisson 4 coats of dip powder, my nail salon knows me well! 😉
Mums the word, but don't they check cars for deletes like you've done? NH is really OCD about that!
Michael Glisson not where I live in AZ, that and the car is too new to require inspection. Funny you say NH, that’s my home state.
Do you know Goffstown or Pinardville outside of Manchester? How long have you been in AZ?
Michael Glisson no, I’m from the north country. I left NH right after high school, it’s been a long time.
A pretty girl working on cars... that's smoking hot!
Some nice upgrade parts for the Foz
Homebrew Subaru dudeee I saw your comment on a FOX video earlier today, you are my new hero lol 👏
Hiya Sarah, thanks for sharing your knowledge learning a lot 👍
Your freaking cracking me up 😂😂😂great vid’s👍
How do you prevent the Check Engine light from coming on and refusing to engage the Cruise Control? Did you have it tuned? How much does it cost?
Good job! Can I suggest safety glasses? (especially when on your back under the car in case something falls into your eyes)
love the build, keep up the great work! :D
What is the idea behind taking coolant parts off?
Great content!
Only suggestion is maybe have links to parts you are installing and maybe list of mods already installed.
Sam Meehan Thanks! I’ll set up a wheel well account soon!
Hey Sarah, enjoy your vids. You need a better floor jack! Your Suburu is really cool! Keep up the good work!
Lol my boss walked in the break room right when you said boobs. Wtf are you watching!!
Some chick with a strap on cam😉
Dang you Cleetus!!! Hell Yeah, Brother!!!
I've got a 2016 Forester XT. Love your channel, did you have to tune after you did the EGR delete and the J-pipe?
love watching your videos !!
Great video, question do you have to have a tune on a car when you install the EGR delete
How you avoid chek engine light without egr connected?
sound track was AWESOME!!!!
Off topic but if u do another car review can it be the chevy ss in the garage!? 😍😍😍
NYdrftwarrior I will, needs a detail job first.
She already did the SS once iirc

Hey sarah, im over in the uk and having a problem finding mapping for the 2015 xt? What soft wear did you use? Many thanks

Silly me looking elsewhere at EGR deletes while looking at the OB Wilderness IPB. CEW...ROFL.
Great work Sarah, thumbs up for Aluminati parts. Love their products.
What exhaust do you have installed? Another great video. Do you recommend the EGR delete?
She said " damn you Cleetus McFarland "
😂😂 awesome
I love Cleetus! by far one of my favorite TH-camrs.
Sarah -n- Tuned
"Hell ya brother " ( or should it be sister , lol )
What did you attach the grounding strap to? I didnt think this J-pipe had a spot for it.
Just curious, before all of this, was one of your first mods a Cobb access port? you mention in the other vids tuning so before I even begin to buy all this noise making stuff, do i need to be smart and buy an access port first?
Why take the EGR off? Doesn't hurt power. If you're worried about carbon build up then just clean the intake and head every now and then.
Floordford It’s a know issue with Direct Injection cars, they have problems with excessive carbon build up on the valves. Removing the EGR reduces that problem as well as reduced knock in hot desert climates (where I live) that often reach 120 degrees outside in the summer.
Sarah -n- Tuned, ahh. On Ford EcoBoost engines it's a very big problem.
Great vid! Props for doing all that work.
You seem like such a cool chick!
Your innuendos had me cracking the hell up :-D
New Subscriber :)
Can u provide the link for the j-pipe? Does it fit Forester XT 2017? Thank you 😊
Egr valve have the role to cool down the engine too... Put it back😋
How has it been running since you deleted the EGR? I have a non turbo fb20 that I’m considering doing this to.

Wow that was loud until it warmed up some and the idle came down a bit.
What's the purpose of removing the EGR valve?
I love clevage-cam!
I took automotive in trade school and my daughter just graduated from hair dressing at a trade school.
