It's not necessary to leave any rinse out treatments or conditioners in the hair for more than 15 or 30 minutes, because after that, the hair no longer receives benefits. I see this alot on TH-cam. I've never seen so many people having issues with protein overload or moisture overload in my life. And not just from DIYs but, from store bought products as well. In my day, we followed the instructions on the products and the hair was healthy. And deep treatments weren't used as often as people use them now; we only used when needed. As a matter of fact I never used a protein or deep treatment until I started relaxing my hair at 18 years of age. Thanks for sharing. I have 4c hair and I use fenugreek in my hair and I had excessive breakage. My hair seems to love fenugreek, but it causes breakage. What can I add to help balance it with moisture?
Lots of protein is NOT good for some individuals and like myself which I already know my hair and persons with low porosity doesn't need a lot of protein in their hair because it has enough. Fenugreek and Rice water I use maybe only once 6-12 months as an oil treatment so once/twice a year. For some people Fenugreek seeds is a miracle worker. Just like with cloves, anise, and other herbs which may or may not work for everyone so my suggestion is use common sense, get to know your hair and each person "do your personal research" to learn what is best your own hair and "don't follow everything or everyone. FYI healthy eating, vitamins and how much water is consumed orally place a big part on having healthy hair growth also.
this happened to me back in 2019. A co-worker recommended a product that had coconut oil and water in it. So I took my braids out as usual and started to wash my hair and my hair locked and matted..it all went down hill from there... I tried everything to stop my hair from breaking off and falling off. I love using fenugreek! One of my favorite Ayurvedic powders. I use it as a gloss on my wash days (along with other powders). I also use it in my DIY oil which I use 3/4 times a week. I absolutely LOVE the smell. It does smell like syrup. Although when I had Covid it smelled spicy! I thought it was so weird! It’s been quite some time since then and I don’t get the spicy smell anymore just syrup.
My first suspicion, (as a person whose hair literally melts apart when anyone uses keratin-a protien- on it, over the next week) is the likelihood that protein in fennel seeds will do the same to hair that keratin does. In that keratin causes hair loss in certain hair types, so will fennel seed masks. Unfortunatley I've had a few bouts of major hair loss over the years. three times it was from a stylist using kertain and once was when i accidentally fell asleep with henna on and it saturated the hair too much and, over the course of the next few days fell/melt off.) Yeah, I had to stop putting it on my hair & also rice water. I’m protein sensitive with fine strands and low porosity. A definite no-no in my books, but my hair seems to be doing OK with the coffee. I use For my genetic alopecia… the caffeine helps
Hi does the coffee work better for your hair than black or green tea? How do you prepare it? I'm a coffee fanatic and have got plenty that I'll never drink. 😂
@@cjsmomom the coffee has been working good for me although I have been supplementing with vitamins and iron for good measure. Tea should work just as good. Whatever I use I make sure it has good caffeine in it. Caffeine serves as a good DHT blocker and increases growth and thickness. I have experience less shedding. If it doesn’t work for you (you would know in a couple of weeks) then you could adjust your hair regimen accordingly. I started using coffee by accident when Amazon sent me the wrong order. It was concentrated ready made coffee. I don’t drink coffee so I decided to use it in my hair at night and that thing kept me up ALL night.🤦🏾♀️ I realize I have a caffeine sensitivity. That’s the only con for me. I don’t dilute it or wash it out because what’s the point. Also the coffee scent does NOT remain in my hair. Some people’s body chemistry is different and they may have to wash it out right away. Hope that helped.
I have low porosity hair too and was considering just putting Fenugreek water on my hair since it seems less intense than doing oil. have you tried Fenugreek water? also thanks for coffee tip I’ll try that :)
Thanks for this video. Never ever use the powder or crushed or blended seeds on hair. That wonderful slime would harden if left too long on the hair. In my culture, fenugreek paste is used to dry out stubborn wounds. At most, use the water, rinse it out after a good time, and do not use it daily. Everything in moderation can work well. Nothing exceeds like excess.
I've used the fenugreek water to spray my hair in the past. I diluted it, but still found it to be very drying. It caused my scalp to flake from dryness. I think it's for people with oily skin/hair. I wanted to try the oil, but if it has the same high protein effects, I may pass.
You can make water and drink it after soaking seeds overnight or make a cup of tea w honey. Also a rinse. Make sure to deep condition then seal it. Once a month is good for me. I make a mask with avocado banana fenugreek honey and aloe juice. Add your favorite oils make it creamy smooth. Slather it on thick, don't be stingy. Put a plastic cap and a beany on for 20 mins. Wash and deep condition. Use as a prepoo ..
Omg lmao this is happening to me I added fenugreek to my amla oil and my scalp has been sooooo fkn dry and I'm like how is this happening I oil my scalp every night. Plus I wear u part wigs. Thank God my hair didn't break off but it was super dry I would use so much leave in conditioner.
Here is my question for you. Which of the concoctions actually grew your hair? There are the same short hair pictures for many of your diy products showing massive hair growth. I know that, like anything else, what works for one may not work for another depending on hair and scalp health, environment, water ph and so forth. Not being critical, I am just looking for a few processes to alternate, especially for someone who doesn’t have 4 type hair. Thank you.
Thank you for this video, I've seen the hype about this seed for a while and wanted to try it. But wasn't sure how. I was bout to use it how I use my clove water. Thank God I didn't.

I wish I loved the smell,I would have drinking it like crazy,I real like it benefits but not the smell
Yeah, I had to stop putting it on my hair & also rice water.
I laughed hard when you illustrated the “High” by standing up🤣
It’s HIGH aka 😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for this video. Never ever use the powder or crushed or blended seeds on hair. That wonderful slime would harden if left too long on the hair. In my culture, fenugreek paste is used to dry out stubborn wounds.
At most, use the water, rinse it out after a good time, and do not use it daily.
Everything in moderation can work well. Nothing exceeds like excess.
I just want oil. Is that too much protein too. If so guess I’ll skip fenugreek all together
Use it with oil not with water
@@mufasa3095 Thanks, I may try this!
you don’t mix it with other oils????? what do you guys be doing
Thank you.
I will use it on my wash days then. Thanks 😊 as I was typing you said do the pre-poo
After you use any kind of protein treatment you always use a hot oil treatment at least two day later
I love drinking the tea 😊
Thank you so much beautiful for teaching me something 😘 new
Please can I apply the oil on my hair for hair growth
Only side effect i had was growth 😊
You look beautiful ❤
I love your hair 😍 💕 ❤️
What if I drink fenugreek tea is it gonna make my hair dry and cause breakage?
So you have to rinse it out or can we leave it in?
Has anyone experienced more hair loss with the fenugreek seed water after spraying on scalp?
Mix your F-Seeds with Aloe Vera Juice, it would eliminate hair loss and last a lot longer.
Which type of cloth to be used for straining the paste
Cheese cloth
So mixing with the cactus/aloe gel makes it better?
Thank you for this video, I've seen the hype about this seed for a while and wanted to try it. But wasn't sure how. I was bout to use it how I use my clove water. Thank God I didn't.
The same thing happened to me with the dry hardness and scalls to the scard to use it now
I use fenugreek in powder form. I make the mask when I use the mask.
I love your sense of humour... Although it is serious topic you had me laughing.... good job I got the message
I messed up my hair bad last year using fenugreek 😭😭😭so yea
Do you get the side same effects from drinking it?
I doubt it. Eating and drinking lots of protein has a positive effect because your body is sending the protein to the right places. I’m protein sensitive yet I still consume lots of protein and no negative effects.
How about using cloves everyday 👋😅
Thank You, Thank You Thank You!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have low porosity hair, a low thyroid issues, plus I have color in my hair.
I was wondering why the hair around my edges & where I part my hair for braids were all broken off.
I thought the problem was coming from the color I added.
But learned that aloe vera juice has high protein. This combined with fenugreek powder is prolly the reason why.
So again, Thank You!!
Now I just have to figure out how to get my edges back.
I drinking fenugreek ,I'm throwing away a big bottle for spraying, thank you
Same for me. The fenugreek conditioner dried out and thus dried my hair out too. I’m just taking fenugreek tea now i don’t have time to do a pre poo wash the. Conditioner 😮💨
Thank you Sis 💞💞💪🏾✊🏾👑💯🤲🏾🤲🏾🤲🏾
It feel like glue in your hair as my hair is low porosity I don't apply it in my hair
😭Since my hair is dry and lots of hair loss I can try it ?
This video scared me, I was planning to add it to my banana and avocado hair hair mask which I leave in my hair for 2 to 3 hours
Yeah, facts about the rice water. I used to use rice water a couple years ago. I over did it. My hair lost its life and moisture.
I only tried the rice water once and did not like the smell.
Ooh😂😂😂😂not me planning to try it out tomorrow as hair mask🤔
Também uso água de arroz 😄
I actually sell Fenugreek oil and everyone loves it
Thanks alot sis if am watching ur video am seeing my sister's face in u u luk alike
