Nick they were both fantastic (even better then the commer which was my favourite). The chrome work and detail is a credit to you, a real pleasure to watch. Love the boxes, all the best from Ian & family.
Wow great job Nick the blue really looks excellent on the rover and the the jag looks good in white. My brother had an old English white mark 9 he drove it for years until his mrs made him trade it for something more modern.👍
Hi Ian, it was a can of Holts auto spray paint I got from a local marine store, no colour name, I just picked it from the colour of the lid off the rack and not a bad price at £6.50 a can👍😊
Welldone nick thay both look excellent, and with there boxes. If I was to pick a favourite nick it would be the jag ,the chrome work is lovely. All the best
Cheers Martin, for once everything went without a hitch on these two models and I wasn’t shaking so much doing the chrome detailing either lol. All the best, Nick.
Great video, no interior on the jag, is this an older model? never thought to use superglue on the box, i end up using kids lipstick pritt style glue and hold with paperclips. i enjoyed watching the post rebuilds. Thank you for yet another inspiring video.
Thank you Gary, yes it is an older Corgi Jag, as for the box I don’t use superglue any more as it seems to stick the cardboard almost instantly and if you don’t quite get the two pieces of box lined up first time you are pretty much stuffed so I do the same as you now, you get a bit more of a chance to get things properly lined up😊👍
Hi Patrick, it’s just a plastic glue applicator for PVA glue bought from a pound shop in a pack of 3, the top end of the handle goes to a blunt point which is ideal, and being plastic it doesn’t tear the cardboard, only flattens where you want the fold.
Excellent restos Nick ,love the colour of the Rover really suits it ,and a great repair on the rivet posts, well done. Rob.
Thank you Rob😊👍
Good job on both models, but the Jag really pops with the Molotow chrome work. Thanks for sharing your work with us. From the states, BTW.

Trans-o-lite - Lucas Electrics experiment with solar-powered headlamps...
Trans-o- lite, that’s it, I’ve got to try and remember lol!👍
What tool do you used to making the folds for the box?
Hi Patrick, it’s just a plastic glue applicator for PVA glue bought from a pound shop in a pack of 3, the top end of the handle goes to a blunt point which is ideal, and being plastic it doesn’t tear the cardboard, only flattens where you want the fold.
Corgi put the trans-o-lite on the VW toblerone van & Buick Riviera
