Mike playing obscure Japan-only games is a story arc I never expected, but now I want more of it. I also think it maybe a whole new thing for Mike to nerd out like he does with his old-school tv shows and stuff.
The main characters here are the villains from Yatterman, the second show in the Time Bokan series, who became extremely popular (and yeah, inspired a lot of other goofy villains like Team Rocket).
Nothing will be as dope as the ORIGINAL playstation. Remember how it was before sony with just nintendo and sega? Playstation changed the game. Future cop is SO SICK me and my buddy played 2 player.
This show reminds me a little of "Care Bears," where the show focuses more on the villains than the lame heroes. The villains are incredibly hopeless and underpowered to where you want to root for them
Mike, as someone who's the same age as you, the nit picking of regular PS5 vs Pro is so funny when I remember having to strip the wires where the hooks had fallen off to make a good connection for the RF switch on the back of a 12 inch CRT in 1987. Glad you agree. 😂😂😂
Its funny how you can just tell via video that you would be hella good friends with someone and be able to chill, game and talk crap with someone and crack jokes all day! Hahaha & thats you Mike! You have become my favorite TH-camr dude. Born in 84' and we are the last of the real humans hahahah....Much love From San Francisco!
3:13:31 whoever recommended "adventure of lomax" is a hero ❤... I remember you were able to attack with the hat and a few other abilities too, would be great to watch you come back to this Mike
Good to see more shooters. The Cave games are my favourite. I don’t think you’ve done Ketsui yet. Ketsui is my favourite Cave game. There’s a good port of it on ps4.
Nice playthrough. Time Bokan was cool. I still have to go through the first one on the PS1, also looks similiar. You might wanna check out Silent Bomber for the PS1. Cool and unique action game.
PSone shooters are underrated. Night Raid is another great, obscure one. It's very weird and fast-paced. AirGrave and Two-tenkaku are also fun, but easier. All worth a play-through
Definitely let me know any cool ps1 games. I tend to like the more simple shooters. Not in difficulty.. i mean i like the ones with less mechanics to learn. The Cave ones are cool but I find like dreamcast and after shooters got more complex. I like the late 80s early 90s style.
@@mikematei Unfortunately, most PSone shooters are arcade ports. That I've played, 70s Robot Anime, Chou Jikuu Yousai Macross, Space Shot, Meta-Ph-List and Night Raid, are great, but more complex. I like the simpler ones, Two-Tenkaku, GaiaSeed, Zanac Neo, and AirGrave. And the run and gun Gunners Heaven, it's a Gunstar Heroes knock-off, but I like it more. And there are some I still want to play, Philosoma, X2, Gatchaman, Einhander and a few more.
27:17 Pretty sure that Getter Robo was the first combining giant robot. It combines in a nonsensical way though. The first combining giant robot that you could actually build a transforming toy for was probably Combattler V.
thank y ou. i cant afford the youtube/twitch/ect paywall. know they fuck you every way they can. thanks for still keeping a piece of shit like me entertained.
The last anime i ever saw freaked me out so much stopped watching anything japanese related for years, after that i only watched naruto and sailormoon and this was when toonami was still a thing in the 90s.
Then you missed out on a lot. Dismissing anything Japanese related because you got freaked out by one show is totally unfair and ignores how varied Japanese media can be.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 awe.. please tell me how much you respect Japanese culture and heritage and know nothing outside ov your anime flavors. how many katana and body pillows do you have?

But the heroes on Time Bokan aren’t “lame.” They’re fabulous.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 They seem kinda lame to me, to be honest. The villains are WAY more likable.

I was just looking at a picture of a figure of Bebop when this video notification came up 😆
I can't believe you didn't turn into a mech in 3 plays..,
I love this game! This is the second game. The first one is called "Bokan to Ippatsu" which I like a little better

My favorite part of every anime is the part when they say, "blahblahblahblahzeeblahblah.... HahAhahahahh... blahblah... HaHa... YAY!!!"
But they don’t. You’re just over-generalizing and making unfunny stereotypes based on surface-level observations.
@@imfsresidentotaku9699 "... YAY!!!"
I can see why this cartoon really took off in the West.
For Future Cop, I believe one of the cameras you can move to be an over the shoulder type view. Also your mech can transform into a car.
This is so nineties. I love it 😄😄😄

Hey Mike, you should try The Adventure of Little Ralph for PS1. It's a really cool 2D sidescroller with very nice sprite art.

This series (don’t know which game) is outrageously expensive for the Saturn. The cartoonish graphics are nice.
