Hey I’ve got the same issue in my a class the EML just came on and scanner read - P0068 map/maf throttle position correlation . You think this would solve it ?
Very good explained, thanks. One question: When keep throttle same level, It behaves like in waves. For example, I keep a constant 2000 rpm, but the car adds at some maybe regular interval 10%
We all did this, thank you so much, but my gas pedal is sometimes hard (mostly in cold temperatures) i have a w169 2006 1.5 petrol, what could it be? I have cleaned the trottle body.
Dear please for advice, mercedes w169 a170 petrol, when it's cold it turns on and works on 3 cylinders, and when it heats up it works normally and shows p0304, I replaced the spark plug, cable and coil and there was no change
Hi. Very useful video. In my case those pins have play and sometimes it doesn´t have good contact. Is it possible to replace the connector of the throttle body? I mean the one that is on it, not the cable that connects to it.
Yes of cause just ask Mercedes dealer, you wont need the special crimp tool as you can squeeze the small Pins with sharp tipped pliers and maybe solder them on one by one and use heatshrink?

Hi man, thanks for the video, very useful. I'm wondering if you can show or at list tell where the fuel filter is in this car. I'm struggling to find information online.
Thank you for your video! I replaced the throttle, but now I have fluctuations at engine idle. Do you know how to relearn the throttle body? Greetings 😀
You need to reset. Turn your key in second position, wait 90 seconds then you can turn on your car. However, while doing that don’t press brake pedal nor switch on radio or AC. The throttle will be resetted
@@doit_vehicles I had the bearing replaced as it was noisy. Now the car has abs failure. The mechanic said its because its an aftermarket market bearing and the nickle in the bearing is different so its effecting the abs sensor. He asked me to get an original bearing to resolve the issue.

hello sorry I ask you for information. meanwhile, congratulations for the video. my throttle body gives me as ohm 13.95 and when the butterfly is open it gives me 40.0. I saw that your value indicates 14.93 and when it is all open from 81.3. I wonder is it broken? my car is a 150 w169 class Thanks
Hi ! sorry for late reply, One simple thing you can do is to turn the key in the ignition ( second position ) and press on the acceleration pedal - the throttle body flap should move proportionally .. however, it might be the sensor which is not responsive, so yes, it's very possible that it's broken. What are the trouble codes from the computer?
@@doit_vehicles thanks for taking care to answer me. no error code but I'm going to exclude because I have a vacuum when I accelerate and started with the controls from the throttle body. then I'll move on to the mass air flow sensor. you are fantastic
Hello.i got an mercedes benz a class a170,1.7 petrol,2005,before Christmas i was in holliday, before to i go my car in the morning works perfectly, even in the morning,at -4 ,-5 grade in couple of minutes was warm in the car...when i comeback from holliday my car heating work but poor,i can feel it very low,on first level on air conditioning..now heating still dont work, but car is no overheating,no noices, just heating dont work properly...i cant fell a little bit of warm air coming from dashboard hole but very low..what i can do?
Hi, Iv just replaced the throttle body with a new one. The car started fine. I out the car off and on again. Now the throttle pedal does not work and the idle revs up and down. I used a scan tool and it reads code P2119. And ideas ?
Hi, loved to see your videos, very helpful. I am planing to have one used A140 (year 2000 ) runs 2000. But many people saying to me this model is expensive junk, to repair small things cost very high. Since you’re an expert, what you would recommend? Thanks in advance.
A class in general are not the best cars made by Mercedes . It depends of what you want from the car : speed , good looks , easy to work on , than the old a class is not the option.
I just lifted ECU, fitted new air filter, sprayed a little brake cleaner on kitchen paper and wiped inside entrance to throttle body. Not a true clean but i am not a true mechanic lol.
Hi! First of all congratulations for the clear video you post... Everything seems to be pretty simple, even if it's not : ) I own a W169 A150 petrol and I have P0068 error shown in the computer. With "Torque" App and OBD2 device I've verified the following points: 1) the throttle position is 13% with the engine turned off... is it normal? (I expected to find it fully closed) 2) starting the engine and pushing on the accelerator the rotating speed moves from 750 rpm to 2000 rpm, while the throttle position is changing from 13% to 17%... And it remains at 17% even at higher rpm... is it normal or it should open much more than 17%? Many thanks!
Hi ! Thanks. I am glad that people find it useful . for point 1) Yes it is normal to be sligthly opened with the engine off and from what I've seen it can range from 2% to 15 % . I don't remember what was the degree on this throttle but it's a good reminder to include this info in the next videos. For point 2 ) The throttle flap should move much more than 17% and as from the numbers you said a 4% is not enough to go 900 rpms to let's say 4000 . So it looks like a bad throttle . Is a good idea also to check with the engine off the pedal position sensor by gradually pressing on the acceleration pedal and watch the graph . Also phisically move the flap and check for any restrictions ...
@@doit_vehicles Thank you for the prompt reply! I forgot to say that my measurement was done without moving the car (gear in neutral) and when I repeated the measurement by moving the car the throttle increased... About the test to move the throttle by pressing on the accelerator pedal, it didn't work... probably because the throttle is moving by electrical signal and with the engine off the accelerator pedal is not sending any command to the throttle...? Anyway I acquired some data related to MAP, rpm and throttle position.... but I cannot find which is "bad correlation" that the error P0068 is indicating. I also tried to make several plots in Excel but I cannot assess if such data are well or bad correlated.
Hi! I solved the problem by cleaning the throttle valve and the pipe connecting it to the engine basement (it was full of dirty)... Now the orange alert on the cockpit is off and the engine is running smoothly. Thanks!

Any idea how to stop the brake pad wear and abs sensor fail when using an aftermarket wheel bearing.
What is the story of that aftermarket wheel bearing ?

To me it sounds like the abs sensor was broken during the replacement of the sensor . The wheel bearing have nothing to do with the sensor .
