    Excellent job. I bought one cheap and did my own work. Most people won't do it. I did. The convertible, etc. My neighbors guys are witness. Lol Plus I'm 64 and a new widow.

      That wrap came out decent which is exactly what I expected for my first go. We learn as we go and get better each time. Thanks for being here and supporting the channel!

    I find this video great and encouraging i came a across a Boss 302 and i want to try and rebuild it if i win the auction. I plan to bring it over to Mexico and possibly compete in time attack competitions. Greetings y'all.

      It's a great and fun thing to do. It's not hard but takes time and skills. As long as you're fine with it not being perfect as you learn the skills, I say go for it. Good luck!

    Recently I was in a little bit of a fender bender. My 2002 Buick Regal Joseph Abboud Edition with only 28 Thousand Miles was hit by a lady in 2014 Mustang. I was completely shocked there was not much left of the Mustang the entire front clipped was gone. But my Buick had minor damage in fact a side of a new bumper, hood and Fender the car was perfectly fine. I was able to drive the car home, suspension was intact surprisingly. Radiator didn't get hurt, I was even able to turn on the AC on the drive home after the accident. The Mustang though had to get picked up on a flap at due to the severe damage. I have since fixed the car but I have been watching different time lapse videos of people fixing their vehicles for inspiration. I have enough footage of the vehicle being fixed but I'm not the best when it comes to editing and this being one of my first videos that I will upload to TH-cam has been harder than I thought it was going to be. In fact I can honestly say it's been harder than fixing the minor damage the car had. Any tips you can give this newbie towards editing would be highly appreciated.

      @DIYSalvageGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just go with it and learn as you go. You'll find better ways to edit as you go. Editing is super annoying. My best advice is to hire someone to do it. I hate it. 😉

    Always take your cars to a frame puller, it doesnt cost that much, you car could be crunched in ways you cant see, and they will be able to do whats needed to straighten your car. Just make sure that the car isnt on the rack any longer than it has too, do all your prep work. Its not worth buying the tools to do that yourself.

    • @DIYSalvageGuy

    Great job bro I love the video. I found a 2014 s197 that has some major door, fender and quarter panel damage and the power cord was cut by a fireman. The guy is selling it starting at 8k and it has very very low miles (41k)... How much should I make an offer for to buy it?

      Impossible to know without seeing the car. Do research and find like vehicles. Find a price and stick to it. Don't go over

    What was the piece you put on top of the front crash bar?

    • @DIYSalvageGuy
      @DIYSalvageGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a foam bumper support. Pretty certain all cars have it. Helps provide support up front for the bumper to sit on and absorbs some impact.

    • @DIYSalvageGuy

      Car cost 6300 and about 2k to repair. 2k in misc fees. I was in it about 11 and sold it for 15.

    • @jimboslice8623
      @jimboslice8623 ปีที่แล้ว

      @DIY Salvage Guy That's not a bad deal at all!! I just won a 2013 camaro at auction yesterday for 2,600 but ended up paying 890 bucks in all the fees that's the only bad part about copart.

    • @DIYSalvageGuy
      @DIYSalvageGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The fees and the shipping make it so hard to justify. Copart raised their prices so much over the past 2 years.
