I received my Vitamix Propel 510 a few hours ago and stared at it in fear! Biggest blender base I have ever seen and I was confused by the one knob for pre-sets and speed control. The instructions did not make clear that the pre-sets worked separately from the speeds. Your video was extremely helpful. FYI…Dawn dish detergent is excellent for breaking down oils. Perhaps that can be used with hot water for cleaning, eliminating the need for bleach. Thank you again for this informative video!

I came here after 2 days of unsuccessful blending with my A3500…got an error message and the motor tripped my circuit breaker…my heart just dropped as it’s almost $700…it’s cooling now…I was making sea moss gel and I waited to long to go from 1-10 Edit: just made 64 oz of sea moss gel, so smooth and nutritious! Success! Thank you!
Hi Henry... This video made me subscribe. Although this was long, it was thorough. I must say: EXCELLENT. This was so well put together. Everything was explain in detail down to cleaning from preparing nut butters. I even learned a couple of things here. 1. How much to use to make a smoothie. I was using wrong measurements that did not give me that swirl effect. I was getting upset because of that non swirl. 2. How to clean after preparing nut butters. I have not tried that yet, but knowing myself I would have used my bottle brush to reach into the bottom thanks for that one. You saved me the aggravation. I purchased 2 Vitamix. One earlier this year (7500 Model) & another (Pro 750) about one month ago because of this I am what you can say a ROOKIE. I do like the 7500 due to blending a little better & a little less noisy. Overall I love them both. I also purchased a Cuisinart Compact Hurricane Blender w/1 Horsepower because of the small footprint. I used this for awhile but not getting the results I was looking for in my smoothies & smoothie/acai bowls. I am now back to Vitamix. I just have to make room. I should have never turned my back on Vitamix.....😞
I would like to say "Thank You!" or making these videos. After researching and debating I finally broke down and purchased the E310 last week (my first Vitamix). I am going over all of your videos and learning as much as I can - and I just made sorbet that my kids LOVED! Thank you again for such wonderful and informative videos :)
Glad I could help! The E310 is a very nice machine! It should bring you years of enjoyment. Don't be afraid to throw heavy stuff at it. It can handle it. It uses the same commercial-grade motor in the Vitamix machines used by Chefs in restaurants.
This was great! I have been putting too much water in my 500, for cleaning. I’m making peanut butter this weekend. But my kids like the peanut butter smoothie afterwards. Then I’ll clean with soapy water. Thank you. I agree. This is the best teaching video I’ve seen.
Thank you for your informative videos Henry. I love my Vitamix 7500. It was worth every penny. You did remind me that solid and liquid ratios are very important because otherwise, no matter how much the tamper is used, the recipe won't end up the way it was intended to.

Could you use the 20oz cups for smaller amounts of things like salsa? Just not sure if the 8oz cups would get much use. Overwhelmed trying to decide between machines.
You do NOT need bleach added to clean! All I use is warm water and a small amount of washing up liquid and that’s it, rinsed and done I didn’t even need to scrub.
I was shocked to see bleach suggested... particularly when also adding a "generous" amount of dish soap which expands and could potentially burst the lid off. Who wants bleach in their eyes?
Henry, can you give a complete demonstration to the 3500 please I'm have difficulty using mine I've read the book's from cover to cover but when I get ready to make a Smoothie I press the smoothie button and nothing happens so I turn up the button on the front and it blended, but not as good as the smoothie button would I believe...Thanks Henry.😊
I do like my 6300 but it is rather noisy but performs well! I also like your food processor attachment video,.. it would’ve been nicer if they made it compatible with my legacy 6300 model.. however they’re customer service definitely made pts w/ me

One thing that would have been great is during the 'not using the right amount of ingredients' section is if you showed either how to recover from the mistake (ie if I add more liquid, then I can continue) or if you showed here is the mistake and here is the correct amount of ingredients

Showing mistakes made in recipes and then showing the proper way ends in a waste of food and more money out of my pocket demonstrating that. If there's a lot of whole ingredients such as fruit it's best to gradually increase. For most liquid and powder ingredient smoothies with ice then quickly increase.

Here in Europe theese blenders cost much more. For instance The Blendtec Total Blender costs 160 000 HUF (570$) but in the USA it just costs 115 000 HUF (399$). Probably because of the more windings on the motor for 240 volts.

Since I can't hear your actual machine I don't want to say "yours" is normal, but I will say that the Ascent A2500 does not contain the sound dampening materials that the A3300 and the A3500 have that offers quieter blending so it's expected for the A2500 to sound louder. I have the A2300 and it's much louder than my A3500. I would say based on that respect yours is performing normally.
The Ascent A3500 is the "quietest" but it's no way quiet enough to avoid disturbing family member sleeping if you make smoothies in the morning. It's only a little quieter than the other Vitamix machines, so I wouldn't recommend putting that on your checklist for which Vitamix to buy. I was referring to the overall operation. The 7500 has the sound dampening materials for quieter operation, a more robust cooling system and a dedicated power switch.

I ended up with the 7500 a while back, but when I started seeing the e310 (which looks identical and has just as beefy a motor) I began to wonder if they weren't the same. Either way I love my vitamix. Its been extraordinarily valuable to my kitchen. And I love trying your recipes with it!
You make me nervous about just ordering the explorian which comes with the 64oz low profile jar. I usually make single serve smoothies, and single serve powdered protein shakes with about 10-15oz of water or milk. Hopefully it will be adequate, as the other containers can be expensive. $150 for the 32oz on a $300 (renewed) blender just doesn't sit right with me.
Much good information here, thank you! Agree with mmpinky84 below that this video is far more useful than most. Helped me decide to purchase the smaller 32 oz container for my Pro 750. Also answered a lot of questions I had about using the Pro 750 for various foods. Have had it for a while, but the 64 oz container does cause me to have to make larger smoothies than I could consume. Your video removed hesitation and helped make the right decision. Thank you!
It definitely should have. If you bought it directly from Vitamix give them a call and they'll look up your invoice and they may send you one, if you're model was supposed to come with one.
Rather than use bleach which will degrade all the gaskets, try vinegar. Start with hot soapy (1 teaspoon) water and run for a minute. Then empty, rinse in hot water and add a half cup of white vinegar. Run a minute.
I certainly don't doubt your method works but as a person who's been selling Vitamix products for nearly 10 years and have been cleaning my containers for years with bleach after making nut butters I have to respectfully disagree that the gaskets degrade. Haven't had a single problem.

Wet can do anything the dry can do. Dry can't really do what the wet can do. That's what I've noticed.

What’s the minimum serving size for the wide base 64 oz?
At least 2 servings.
I've noticed with the wide base 64 oz container you need at least 2 cups to get a good blend.

Overall nothing, other than the 7500 including a larger container. The 7500 is closing out though.

Either way I love my vitamix. Its been extraordinarily valuable to my kitchen. And I love trying your recipes with it!

You make me nervous about just ordering the explorian which comes with the 64oz low profile jar. I usually make single serve smoothies, and single serve powdered protein shakes with about 10-15oz of water or milk. Hopefully it will be adequate, as the other containers can be expensive. $150 for the 32oz on a $300 (renewed) blender just doesn't sit right with me.

Much good information here, thank you! Agree with mmpinky84 below that this video is far more useful than most. Helped me decide to purchase the smaller 32 oz container for my Pro 750. Also answered a lot of questions I had about using the Pro 750 for various foods. Have had it for a while, but the 64 oz container does cause me to have to make larger smoothies than I could consume. Your video removed hesitation and helped make the right decision. Thank you!

It definitely should have. If you bought it directly from Vitamix give them a call and they'll look up your invoice and they may send you one, if you're model was supposed to come with one.
Rather than use bleach which will degrade all the gaskets, try vinegar. Start with hot soapy (1 teaspoon) water and run for a minute. Then empty, rinse in hot water and add a half cup of white vinegar. Run a minute.
I certainly don't doubt your method works but as a person who's been selling Vitamix products for nearly 10 years and have been cleaning my containers for years with bleach after making nut butters I have to respectfully disagree that the gaskets degrade. Haven't had a single problem.
