STEAMED CREAM DORY | STEAMED FISH WITH GINGER AND SOY SAUCE | ASIAN RECIPE

  • Steaming Fish is a simple and savory way to cook whole fish or fillet. It only takes a mere 8 minutes to do it! Try my Steamed Cream Dory Fish with Ginger And Soy Sauce Recipe.
    Steaming the fish meat preserves the moisture in the fish, which makes it so tender and savory.
    Just drizzle it with fragrant ginger soy sauce and hola! This will make you eat more rice!

    INGREDIENTS
    3 pcs Cream Dory (Any white meat fish)
    1 tbsp of ginger thinly sliced
    3-4 cloves of garlic minced
    onion leeks
    5 tbsp of soy sauce (Kikkoman soy sauce)
    1 tbsp of lemon juice or calamansi juice
    1 tbsp of white sugar
    INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. Mix all the ingredients except for the fish in a bowl and transfer it to saucepan. Bring it to a boil for 3 minutes in low heat.
    2. Place fish on a plate or deep dish. Pour in the sauce and put onion leeks on top.
    3. Place your fish in a steamer. For this recipe, I used a steel pot stand and place it in a pan with water.
    4. Steam your fish for 8-15 minutes and then it's done!
    5. Ready to serve.

    Hi, is it okay if the water from the steam drips into the plate? I want to make this recipe now, but a bit worried about that.. hope you could help me.

      Mas sumasarap ang steamed fish kapag may lemon or calamansi. May "citrusy" flavor and aroma siya naibibigay kasi. Perfect po sa fish ang lasa. I will try other options on the next recipe. I will share here if it works.

      Sa akin ginagamitan ko ng tanglad or lemon grass in exchange of lemon or calamansi , sinasama ko sa stuffing, lemon grass is full of flavour pwedeng pampalasa kahit anung lutuin, madalas kong gamitin sa aking mga recipes sa aking kitchen channel, check it out po para sa karagdagang info, salamat.

      Pwede naman kung yun ang available sa house niyo. Pero for best result use kikoman.. iba yung aroma niya sa fish. 😊
