Nice flight guys! Super plane.
I have the Kingfisher and it balloons like crazy with flaps too. I started at 15% down elevator at one notch of flaps and ended up at 30% to stop it ballooning. 40% on full flaps! Crazy stuff but it works.
FMS really need to suggest a mix in their manual.
Not sure if this makes sense. Think of it like this, When doing a steady glide landing. Flaps on 1/4 ,1/2, 3/4. try 1/4 first
Your Throttle becomes your Elevator (more to ascend, less to descend).
Your Elevator becomes your Throttle (up elevator to slow down, down elevator to speed up)
With very small amounts of stick inputs.

Hello gentleman, awesome plane flys very well. Thank you for your video. Fms planes are good planes. Awesome skills at the sticks and lots of great filming from you guys. Keep flying you guys just having fun RC'n with friends.
building mine but found both the main and tail feather spars are way too short for the spar tubes - so I replaced them with my own carbon tubes that now use the full length of the spar tubes.... also replaced the two blade prop with a three blade...think I will dial in a lot of down elevator with the Flaps - for the maiden and see how it goes...
I always mix down a good bit on these high wing planes with flaps
thank you. finally somebody flies a STOL plane properly and shows us some slow flying capability. Im shopping for a similar plane and all the Maule and Timber guys just display high speed passes....

Gezz another option. Was thinking I was gonna go turbo timber, but now......I am not sure. Both have floats, both do STOL. Both seem to have ok power for thier weight. If you could only one 1 of those two what would you have Ryan?
I love mine. But I put a 60amp esc and a bigger motor then it flew fantastic. But we are at around 5000ft here in El paso TX.
Oh I put a 5S 3000mah 35c in it also. Crazy fun. And I am not the greatest pilot in the world. lol

Hi mike can you put safe inside from E flight
A pair of dubro 5" or 6 " rubber air fill tires would look great on there . They're a little heavy, but the cub has so much lift it should be fine . Much smoother landings, Less abuse on the fuse .
Nice looking plane. How big of a battery can you fit in there. Think I saw that the recommendation were a 3200 4s. Plenty of room ?
How far did you push your throttle during take off? Love your videos, very informative.
On the short take offs almost all the way forward with some right rudder as well

It has a regular piper wing. Better skip it as a beginner plane

Super super Cub and maiden flight! Yeah have the E-Flite super cub and the E-Flite Timbers. Like you said, the Super Cub kind of heavy and awkward and Timber is almost too light! Not sure where I'de put one of these but might have to get one! Great made flight and video gents! Thumbs up! Cheers!
Hey Fred, did you get the FMS cub? I am undecided whether to buy the new timber turbo or the FMS Cub. Since, you seem to have the Timber, I was wondering how do you rate both of these, given the build quality, availability of parts and ease of flying. Thanks in advance.
@@src2920 Hello Sayan! Sorry for the delay! I don't have the FMS Cub but the Timber is OK but if I had my choice I would might have opted for the FMS for more scale. I also have had to replace a flap servo and the rudder and elevator don't have a whole lot of through. I got the Timber on sale so can't complain but being more of a scale guy I think that would be the thing foe me. Hope this helps! Cheers!

@@PilotRyanMedia I was this 👌close to getting the Primo. However after seeing this plane I want it lol. I think I'll put a non-Spektrum receiver in it. I bought the ix12 from you guys and a few other things. I'm actually less than a yr in the hobby and 49 yrs old.

Hmmm, not impressed, compared to FUNCUB or CARBON Z Cub. It fell off from vertical? Boooooo. And, what's with needing to 'sort out the mix'? Why? Mixing should be done with thumbs. It is called 'flying'.
Why would you want to “fly” down elevator on landing when intuition would have you hold it off with back pressure. Fun Cub is a joke compared to this. Carbon z is nice and it should be for its price.
@@PilotRyanMedia I do not understand. I always have my elevator trim set to require me to hold back pressure.
