I loved doing this video because I got to experience Ugandan food for the first time and it did not disappoint! Excited to showcase more East African food over the next months!
1st girl deserved to win! I really liked this video but the winner scoring her a 6 after heaping a bunch of praise on her food and calling her his competition wasn't cool. Also bear in mind the other women gave her a 9 and 8 collectively. Neutral taste testers are needed when the score is this close/any hint of bias is shown!!
Facts then he rated the one girls plate that had no flavor a 6, so I was not sure how the first one received a 6, when the flavor was there. They should have ppl that did not cook the dish, judge the food to avoid bias
You guys might want to run that math again. 9.5+7+6.5 does not equal 23.5. It equals 23. So even with him underscoring Jawhara after singing her foods praises, they still actually tied.
He cheated! How did the first dish get a 6 along with the girl who's food had no flavor? His numbers were not making sense, and he low balled the first girl to win 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ he raved about how good the first plate was, and unfairly gave a low ball number
First of all, the dish sounds really good. I like this group, honest, fun shade, but didn't take themselves too seriously. As someone who doesn't know anything about Ugandan food, I'm looking forward to other ones from them.
Am I tweaking/ can’t add or should it have been a tie? 1st girl got a 6-9-8= 23 . The last dish got 9.5-7-6.5= 23…….. where did 23.5 come from. Run it back y’all cheated my girl Lol
I want to try the first and last dishes! I wish BuzzFeed would zoom in so we can really see what's going on. Also would love the winner(s) to show us how the dishes are cooked. I'm not a familiar with Ugandan food so it be nice to see how it's done.
You can search on TH-cam for Ugandan dishes especially luwombo and matooke. There is luwombo of chicken, beef, groundnuts etc with tutorials and all. Luwombo is a cooking method where food is steamed in banana leaves.
Great episode, love seeing traditional African dishes❤ the winner giving the first girlll a 6….hmmm not sure about that. I think there should be a neutral taster at the end of the episodes no bias
never had ugandan food and dont know what this food is supposed to look like but the first and last dish looked delicious!!!! I especially want to try that last dish because the meat looked so well seasoned!
Ohhh this is wonderful.. For full effect all th matooke must come from the same cluster. If they are mixed up it wont taste all that. The leaves then give the flavor n taste. Cz alone they do not carry much taste Then the luwombo leaf has to be smoked carefully or it burns. If gives the sauces you choose to put extra flavor Smoking the meats before is a plus in taste
I see that everyone in the video were very humble and offered constructive positive feedback which I love to see. I do feel everyone else's score in contrast to Mulinde's were alot more generous and that scoring was off.. it should've been a tie for first? Anyway good video and I would love to see more of East African dishes or even the West in fact.
🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬 nice to see some Ugandan food being represented... Would have been great to showcase how the luwombo is served traditionally parcelled up in banana leaves and unwrapped on serving (our obsession with piping hot food). 'A' for effort!
This has made me miss Uganda and my trip I had there. I loved the food, I loved the people and I loved the country. They found it hilarious when I thought Mzungu meant Hello and started saying it to people while waving. I quickly found out I was wrong🤣
Had the most delicious matoke and beef stew in tororo a border town in Uganda, almost a year ago, 👌🏽👌🏽 So happy to see East Africa represented, 😊😊😊 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Now how are you going to give the food you tasted and was overall positive about a 6, but the food you tasted and was overall negative about also a 6? First girl should have won.
He gave the first girl a 6, when her food was so good he wanted to clean the plate, and then scored another 6 to someone whose food was inedible - what a cheat!
I loved doing this video because I got to experience Ugandan food for the first time and it did not disappoint! Excited to showcase more East African food over the next months!
We need a competition on, which East African country (Uganda, Kenya Rwanda or Tanzania) cooks the best Pilau rice and chapati 😊
@@lilliana4056 i’m here for this👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
As a west African gyal I really enjoyed watching this video, we need more variety!
Bring Kenyans to try each others pilau and may noone commit sacrilege and put tomatoes and tomato paste...mara soy sauce. PLEASE
And chapo madondoo

@@KERRAVLOGS Right!! All that and man still only won by 0.5! She was ROBBED! 🤣🤣
Exactly !
How was she robbed if she gave him a 6.5 and he gave her a 6? I agree with neauteak testers in some cases but I think this one is reaching
You guys might want to run that math again. 9.5+7+6.5 does not equal 23.5. It equals 23. So even with him underscoring Jawhara after singing her foods praises, they still actually tied.
Right. Who did that math??

I was quite shocked when he claimed to have enjoyed it and scored her a 6 lol… does it need to be out of this world before you say 9 or 10
Maybe he enjoyed it alot but tasted better? That’s how it could be lol but again a lot of people low ball in hopes they win themselves 😂
He knew the second he put her dish in his mouth that she would win so he lowballed her on purpose.
This is why they need to be blindfolded every time.
😂 he knew that was the dish to beat so he gave her a 6 cuz he knew the other people would give higher nevertheless they need blindfolds
First of all, the dish sounds really good. I like this group, honest, fun shade, but didn't take themselves too seriously. As someone who doesn't know anything about Ugandan food, I'm looking forward to other ones from them.
The math ain't mathing! Jawhara and Mulinde's scores both add up to 23. How did he end up winning? It's a tie! 🤔
This is my sign to try that new Ugandan restaurant that opened up around the corner from me 😂
DO ittttt
DO ITTTT
do it!!

10 more points for Jawhara for being so lenient with the roasting ♥️😂too sweet

Yes to everything you said. Totally agree.

I love the way Jawhara speaks, her voice is soothing.
My binyebwa was the best I don’t know what Mulinde was talking about 🤣🤣 loool well done though everyone loved filming this ❤️
Glad you were brave enough to do the show. Blessings
Thank you ❤️
Perfect! 👌
I thought you was gonna win wow
Please zoom in and show (showcase) the dishes more clear, before they start eating.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this episode 😂😂😂😂😂 love the representation..... Best episode ever .... Ugandans polite nature never fails
What? "It looks genetically modified" flew over your head? That's not polite lol
never had ugandan food and dont know what this food is supposed to look like but the first and last dish looked delicious!!!! I especially want to try that last dish because the meat looked so well seasoned!
Do you guys not know how to calculate, the last guy got 7+9.5+6.5=23, so how come he won when he and the first girl are tied
ugh the way i’ve been waiting for buzzfeed to do a ugandan one😍😍😍
I’m sooooooo happy to see this. I smiled the whole time! Finally 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Aw. This makes me miss Uganda! I remember helping the head cook at the school make matooke when I visited her house.
going to have to visit uganda because you all have such lovely smiles omg 😂❤
I think jawhara, is s a good cook.she deserves a win
Oooh finally East Africa again. We've had Somalis and now Ugandans. Now try Ethiopian or Kenyan.
How did Mulinde give a 6 to Jawhara and Joanne 😂😂😂
Licking his finger to one and the other stating it looked better than it tasted
This made me so happy as a half ugandan ❤ nice to see home cooked dishes am.used too x
what is your other half

Well done with adding up the points… The guy also made 23 points so it would be a tie with the first lady…
I love these lot. They are so respectful. Give us more from them 👌
Hold up hold he said the first person was competition that's how good it was and yet he gave her a 6
You should come to Kenya next
And thank you I have been waiting for this
Yaaaaaay i feeel seen ,, yay for Uganda ❤❤ just had matooke today
This was fun. They have great attitudes and explained the flavors well. I wanna try!!!

How you compliment someone's food so highly then turn around and slap them in the face with a low score, biased asl 😭😭😭
What is the extra sauce or whatnot in the little dish?

not fair that he won by scoring unfairly
