+Denise R If you watch the following scene where he tossed his cigarette. It is even more heart breaking. However, I like Paul. He is so determined to win Holly's heart.
I just made biryani, it reminded of this blown pressure cooker, wondered why she needed a pressure cooker, still wondering after hearing her say chicken with saffron rice. Pressure cooker is usually for beef.
@@ToniAffleck você é brasileiro, portanto, falarei em português com você. Eu apenas repeti a fala da personagem durante uma brincadeira entre amigos, em uma conversa em uma de minhas redes sociais. Você assistiu o filme, ela está aprendendo português porque acha que o namorado brasileiro vai levá-la pra casar com ele... Não há 4000 verbos irregulares, mas 315, o que já é um número bem grande.
"Portuguese, a very complicated language, darling. Four thousand irregular verbs.” Audrey's just lovely saying this, Portuguese is really a very complicated language, but it has "only" 315 irregular verbs...
As a native portuguese speaker from Brazil, portuguese doesn't have 4.000 irregular verbs. I believe it has about 300 to 500 irregular verbs. But many of them are almost never used and the most used irregular verbs are irregular in several languages (like verb to be) as well. To be honest it's quite easy to learn if you're spanish, french and italian speaker and it's not that complicated if you're a native speaker of english since many words are alike.
I think is hilarious she's listen portuguese from Portugal but answer in portuguese from Brasil. Açougueiro (word used by Audrey in the movie) is used in Brasil. In Portugal we use Talhante in (both words means butcher). And her accent his brasilian too.
Love AH. But very miscast for this role. She herself knew that (and that her range was limited). Still, as always, she's a delight to watch. One of a kind.
@@draganpaunovic5596 I think Marilyn’s agent advised her not to consider the part since the role is that of a call girl, and the agent felt it was going to further typecast her into the overtly sexy roles she has been getting up to that point. Could be wrong though. I love Audrey, and she made this role her own, and made it iconic, but this role belonged to Marilyn. That’s what Capote wanted as well.
@@rm6700Yes, I agree. I read the novel ages ago and I'm sure Holly is portrayed as a blonde, capote was right in preferring Marilyn for the part. Although I also love Audrey too, but she's just not convincing as a 'call girl' 😂
I love holly's outfit in this scene, so casual yet classy..
The cat didn't freak out when the thingie blew up. That's a chill cat.
Probobly used to it
I love her hair in this scene
at 2:57 he puts his hand on her skin, that was not expected but certainly very pleasant :)
that's why he laughs ^^
Audrey Hepburn's accent is cute
It's actually transatlantic accent
Mid Atlantic
Audrey was excellent in this role.
Her acting is so sincere for an actress of this time. Plus, she's adorable and vulnerable. It's so well cast.
it could not have been anyone else. this movie was made for her 😭
@@XercasPathology She nailed it. They cast the part right indeed.
He was so patient with her!
Who does not?
Thank you very much for uploading this video, its a lovely scene!
2:28 breaks my heart :( the look on his face.

I just bought a pressure cooker on Amazon. It took me a while to get over my fear of this happening.
Haha..what did you cook?
I wish Audrey and George would have gotten married in real life they look so great together
Lol they hated each other in real life
@@сиднипрескотт-щ3л I heard someone else say that but I wonder why
I read they didn't particularly get on off set.
jeez Holly calm down on the salad dressing
It was a big salad.

Love this scene ❤
Eu acho que você está gostando do açougueiro kkkkkkkkk
Eu também acho.
"Português, uma língua muito complicada. 4000 verbos irregulares!" Abri o TH-cam justamente para pegar essa fala, hahaha!

I believe you are in league with the butcher
He's a lovely 🌹💐💐🌹 romantic movie
My grandma had one of those
This movie is my favorite of Audrey Hepburn I love it so much
Thank you
ela fala português? ou apenas para breakfast at tiffanys
So para breakfast :/
She was the best.
simply gorgeous
“Eu acho que você está gostando do açougueiro”
"Eu acho que você está gostando do açougueiro " - I think you like the butcher
Come back to me
I bet the pressure cooker was from the East Indian trading company. Just enamouredly removed from the "out to dinner" equation.
To much vinegar darling
Audrey Hepburn, ALL the time: Noblesse Oblige...
😍😍😍❤❤❤
The name chosen for the Brazilian millionaire is horrible. The disco with lessons in Portuguese is in the 'wrong language' : Portuguese from Portugal
como se mudasse muito. é como inglês americano e britânico

I read the book it made perfect sense. Most brasilians like José has other ancesters besides the portuguese. Half of his family is german.

Marylin Monroe was an option for that role as well, if she got the role she woould have been perfect match to George Pepard , in my opinion.
