    This was one of the first dishes I made at ‘Domestic Science’ at school in the 1970s! Loved it then and still do. I may need to make some!

      Same here, learned at school circa 1974, still one of my favourite recipes. I prefer them without cinnamon though. 😊

    These go beautifully with that Madagascan Vanilla custard you get in tubs from supermarkets - oh, delish!!!

    I've never had individual Eve's puddings but those look absolutely fab. Beautiful light sponge and delicious spiced apple underneath. Now that's what I call a pudding! 👍👍

    Those look lovely, and now in my recipe box for next week and onward.
    You mentioned your age last video and nearly made my jaw drop.
    In the videos you look _half_ that yet have the cooking experience and style of a much more mature lady ❤
    Edit: can't stop laughing about the asbestos fingers we have

    Something I've never heard of but it looks delicious. Reminds me of a cobbler, which I love. Thank you!

    • @MacMcCaskill
      @MacMcCaskill ปีที่แล้ว

      Lighter than cobbler, which is more of a scone mix.

    • @gailsears2913
      @gailsears2913 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where I live cobblers can be made with a pie crust lattice on top and sometimes a pie crust on bottom OR with something like cake on top. Granted it's a denser cake but not like a scone. At least where I live in a south central state.

    These mini puddings look so delicious. They remind me of my late mother in law who used to make apple sponges with apples from their garden for Sun dinners. Another recipe she used to make was shortbread but I've lost her recipe. Would you hy any chance have a shortbread recipe please?

      Once they're cooked, you can even eat them cold with cream or ice cream.
      It's a similar recipe to a basic Victoria sponge.

    Could you swap the apples for pears ? I find that apples can be a bit harsh sometimes

    • @MacMcCaskill
      @MacMcCaskill ปีที่แล้ว

      Apples and/or pears work well singly or together. You can even stir in some raisins. It's just stewed fruit with a simple sponge topping - be adventurous!
