I wish we had the tradition of an afternoon tea in America. It is so quaint and lovely. The items you set out look so good. I really enjoy your channel and the pictures of the surrounding community. So picturesque and naturally beautiful.

I truly love scones!!! I was born in High Wycombe but I live in Tucson Arizona, but through doing my genealogy I have found that my wonderful grandmas ancestors are from beautiful Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, I am from the Stuart line! Thank you so very much for your wonderful beautiful food and recipes!!!

This does my heart good. My Mom's family was from Glasgow and my great-grandfather was a baker. He passed many recipes down. I've made scones, including sultana scones, since I was a kid. Now in Canada (and everywhere else) suddenly scones are everywhere. Your pronunciation and your use of traditional ingredients makes this the perfect tutorial. People have learned to make bread in lockdown -- now they can learn to make their own proper scones. What a gift!

Writing to you from Ottawa, Ontario, in Canada. Such classic recipes and methods are most appreciated...they are few and far between...also, courageous of you to refer to "the mother-in-law" in the third person! We are honey producers and always like to see well thought out recipes for scones. Cheers!

In Argentina, they make a type of sandwich called _sanwiches de miga_ ("crumb sandwiches"). They're made with very thinly sliced white bread with the crusts removed and thin slices of ham and/or cheese, or an egg salad filling made with roasted peppers. They're usually served at parties and special occasions. They would be perfect for tea, I think!

I'm slowly working my way through all of your wonderful videos, so please don't mind me leaving notes all over the place. 😉
I especially love the aspect of sharing how y'all "have tea" there, and the presentation of the food. Also, you deserve great praise for being such a thoughtful daughter-in-law, especially with how much you don't like cucumbers. For whatever it's worth, I have a friend from Denmark who has an absolute hatred for celery. I've never seen a person get angry/hateful at a vegetable like that LOL! Love her to bits, and although I seriously dislike raw tomatoes, I don't even have *that much* hatred. 😆
