Modifying the EK Harness to the H22 Harness

- In this episode I went over the whole entire process of converting and modifying the existing EK Civic vehicle harness to the H22 engine harness. The conversion being do is OBD2A engine to OBD2B vehicle harness. I got through each and every single plug on my harness, hopefully in enough detail to give viewers a better understanding as some videos online have been rather vague on this subject. Especially the H22 harness. I am back to making episodes as i am now finally settled in my new home with my family after some monthly renovations. Enjoy and see you again soon

Ouuuuuu! This is the video ive been waiting for, i extended my alternator wire, and dizzy plug had to be changed a little. But some reason when its wet out/ or rainin, the car shuts off completely..... 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Hi! Good video mate. Im putting an obd2b harness on a obd2a engine... what modification do I have to make? The engine is a b16b and the harness come from a 2000 civic si. I want to run it on an obd1 ecu
Were does the starter Signal/trigger wire runs inside the harness for the starter?
Do I actually have to have an H22 harness for this or are the connectors the same?

I have a 91 crx Si I have random wires cut with no connectors and I can’t find a place that will give me a pinout/connector diagram, I tried asking people from rywire, cjs wiring and wireworx but they don’t wanna help out. I can only find the pinouts for upgrading to OBD0-OBD1
We just went to Rywire and bought a full harness for the ek h22 swap.

It's a full race harness with brake and light harnesses front to back. You should check out our build. We are trying our best. I've had swapped hondas for 20+ years. You name it , zc, ls, h23, h22. All utilized stock harnesses. I have a h22a4 cb7 with a stock harness as well. We just wanted to build a track car and with a stock automatic ek we swapped it to 5 speed and pulled everything out of the car that wasn't going to help on the track. And when I say track we are focused on honda track days and scca style racing. We've done 1/4 mile for years but are excited to get on the track.

We also have a b16 turbo eg on e85, an Acura 2007 TL, 2001 GS430 ,BMW 330i as well as a cb7 with a h22a4 in it. All with mods.

Does my d16y8 vtec harness works on the h22? Or do I have to modify my harness?
Videos are great....so when creating a harness or modifying, all that's involved is moving and or adding pins to pin locations?....
Depending on what harness you start with it varies. Getting your hands on a si harness saves alot of work as it already includes lots of plugs I had to install from scratch, but generally plugs need to be added, wires extended and wires moved/spliced to different locations to accommodate whichever swap your doing

Why did you go with the original H transmission vs a b-series transmission? I was considering h2b since i have a factory ITR B-series transmission...but if you tell me otherwise ill stick with the factory lsd h-trans and deal with the cable conversion. Since i now have a comolete euro r swap sitting in my garage
It's cheaper and easier.... U don't need to do the H to B, unless your going for serious power.
I agree. I use the h/f trans. A dime a dozen at any you pull it yard. Use b series axles and call it a day.

Same fusebox from the civic.
Garage SpeCivic with no modifications? I got the wire harness done already I was just curious if there were modifications needed or just a change all together for the fuse box. I appreciate your response. Keep up the great content bro I’ll still watch
@@mmmvtec90 nope, I didn't touch the fuses within the box. Left it as it was, no issues as of yet with it. And thanks for watching

Hi, I'm planning on doing the same H22 EK Swap. Could you DM me what engine mounts, harness, etc I need to buy. I'm doing it all stock, no turbo or anything just all stock.

Just use a civic ex (manual) engine harness. Extend the alternator wires, and a couple others then use a jumper harness for the ecu. Although you can use the ex civic ecu but you’ll want either a p13 ecu or go with hondata or ems.
