I have found a brushless outrunner motor that fits in the footprint of 280/370 brushed motor, the D2225, it's only 22mm in diameter and 25mm in lenght, 3.175mm shaft x 13mm long already in the correct side so no need to do any modification to the the motor! Bit more expensive at $10-15 compared to
Will I need to do any cutting or anything or just remove and switch motor and add the gear.
Also would that motor fit in those aliexpress metal reduction gearboxes or should I just stick it in a stock 370 wpl gearbox

What do yiu think about using a 1400kv 17T. Id like to crawl very slow, but habe high torque. I noticed some trk4m furitek go up to 3456kv

If you're going to order another pinion, just get one with a 3.17mm bore, no need to file down the shaft, make the job so much easier but unfortunately the 370/25mm gearbox calls for a 12T 0.4m pinion and no one seems to sell it, I was able to source one for the MN78/MN82 stock gearbox 10T 0.6m

If you using rather low KV motor (i.e 1000 or 1400KV), It can also smooth crawl even if using cheap brushless ESC.
A large number of poles and a large torque is great! How hot is the motor and ESC during operation?

I'm using 2208-1400KV. It's a cheap generic china drone motor without brand.
Tq for the info, so now, instead buying the 370 motor, im gonna buy this, more torque.

Hi Edward, I don't sell it. You can download the 3D files for free and then you can 3D print it yourself or if you don't have 3D printer then you can use 3D printer services on your area.
Can you send the file to me or teach me how and where I can find the file? I found a service in Japan and I can get the parts printed here. Thanks in advance.

Hi I'm currently using single speed metal gearbox for my wpl c24 which one is better 1400kv or 2200kv? Im more on crawling.
Unfortunately I never had single speed metal gearbox (the one with "U" shape) so I don't know the gear ratio. But I guess for crawling, 1400KV might be better. But again, I never try it on metal single speed gearbox.
@@gadogamix if I'm providing you the gear ratio are you able to suggest what kv I'm more on crawling so I want some ounch and torque

Try Blheli_S drone ESC, better suited

what esc you use?
Drone ESC works better with outrunners, cheaper BLHeli_s works OK if you tune some settings, but BLHeli_32 performs better and you can flash to AM32 or Escape32 firmware for much better crawler performance
Adapte un 2435 de 4500 kv y es demasiado rápido muy brusco. No tiene mucho torque más bien es más rápido estoy pensando en ponerle un motor 9im motor 3532 de 1470 kv .

@@randomstuffs1671 from others that runs those Blheli ESCs, I do not see any cogging, can do silent slow crawl, unless the motor is too powerful for the ESC or the battery that is
Esc Can forward reverse?
I use a normal RC Car ESC, not a drone ESC. it can go forward, reverse, also brake.
