Yes! I couldn’t agree more.. I’ve been cutting hair for 15 years. Started doing women’s hair but realized I loved cutting mens hair, so now that’s what I specialize in. Always on TH-cam looking at new styles and what other barbers are doing. Work hard and smile

Working in a barbershop that just opened up as an apprentice. Been super slow just hoping the patience will pay off, so far I’ve been the only one taking care of the walk ins (I don’t mind at all) just hope the shop eventually gets super busy that I can get more walk ins and perfect my craft.
That’s what’s up. Keep at it. Every walk-in is a potential returning client. Promote on your own too even if the shop doesn’t.
@@Seancutshair I’m back DIDNT see the reply I apologize! 4 months In The client has been growing. Starting to see the every week type, and every 2 weeks, and the monthly type! Growth for the reoccurring people, gets me excited now it’s just type to find the people for the slow days haha.

New to barbering 1st week in barber school, when should i be in the shop learning from other barbers and when should I quit my 9to5 to focus on cutting hair?
I’d watch whoever you can whenever you can. Lots of TH-cam content as well. Don’t quit until you can sustain on only cutting hair. You’ll know when that is
Great content I remember when I just started working i buy (when could afford them)the latest tools, color, educational videos at first I was told that it was a waste of money and nobody will request those cuts I almost fell for it then I decided to go with what I believe in and that is to be ahead then several years later I seen them using the colors, tools that I had then new trend were popping and I had the confidence to do them because I had already learn them so yes everything your saying is 💯 stay ahead it really works learn what others are not doing some may not like those mullet just learn them because you may never know

Gems bro,gems…it’s sad the young kids i hire,man…they wanna work 4 hours a day an complain about not making any money…they think I got busy by snapping my fingers.been putting in 12 hour days for almost 4 years now.i guess I expect the same work ethic out of everyone else and it’s hard to accept it’s not like that.truly aggravating
