My barber doesn’t do any of that just cut great hair and I give him a 50 just him getting me out quick but when I show up I sweep up the place an try to organize whatever they have. Since he gets me in and out wick so I appreciate him for doing that
Very useful video bro! Great topic to touch on. I was super scared to raise to $40 too but when I did I got even more clients. Amazing how it works out in the end 🙏🏽
worked in barbershops for about 20 years now... when I started it was 17 in north nj back in the day, the shop i work in currently is more of an upscale experience... cut package is 45, with beard is 65 but commission as a employee. half hour appointments doing 10-15 a day Downtown Denver
You explained it a lot better then most barbers who drop these videos. Honestly I get handed $40-$60 every cut and the shop only charges $25. You’ve seen my work, I think we should definitely bump prices. But….. 🤷🏻♂️
Charging $37.50 for cut and $50 for cut and beard! I have the demand for 40-50 cuts a week but due to school I can only do 20 so I'm loosing a bunch of clients haha
Damn! This video just Solidified it for me. I’ve been thinking about raising my prices and you just gave me the tips that I need to implement. Thank you.
In my country and in my town the average is 10 and 15 with beard and the few who offer enhancements charge about 2-3 bucks extra. In the city though it varies there are shops charging 25 to 45 and also shops charging the 10-15.
This is a very good topic this really help because I’m trying to raise my prices right know I’m trying to save back up money because I don’t know how much clients I’m going to loose. Love how you shared with us when to up our prices I’m going watch this video again
U do miss those Headquarters prices lol. I only switched seats because I couldn’t do the price. You are definitely a great barber! I wanted to open it up for people who could pay and you could do more styles for people that like different looks. Happy to see the shop doing so well. Blessings bro!
I charge 15$, I cut at my house but have a decent clientele been thinking of raising but not sure by how much.. I want to add styling to increase the value.
How much tip are they giving you on the regular? If they are handing you a $20 bill every time, make it $20. Do like Sean said. Let them know they don’t have to tip. Eventually everyone will tip. Then maybe you can bump it up again. Etc….
I loved this one! I'm currently at $23 for my haircuts. I upcharge for times when I use the shaver which brings it up to $25. I'm only 1 year into having my own shop and have 8 years hair experience so I feel like this is fair. My clients agree with my pricing and tip well. I invite your opinion on what you think about my price. Thanks for the videos!
Here in my town.. normal cut cost about 50 (about .6 dollar) and fade about 70-100,150 max(about 1.8 dollar) mostly done by high standard salon. I don't really know how much for a fade since I've never done it for myself. Yeah i know the difference between there and here(rupees to dollars apart from the standard of living) but am just saying it and letting it known since I think it is kind of funny. 😅
I was expectin moreso WHEN to raise idk why. But im a mobile barber in Chicago nd asked last wk If my cuts worth $50, was $100 yes on the poll. But i charge $30 cut, most $40 for beard and taper, $100 lining repair. I started at $20 last october nd worked my way up $30, ion wanna jump from $30 to $50😭plenty of times ppl throw me $100 just for a linin. When i come back from Mexico hoopin, ima go up to $50 next summer tho. I got to. But this was useful, make sense that when u get alotta tips, u good to go up
I’m at $35 right now. Been thinking about going to $40. Some good shops here charge $35, but some barbers there have the skill to definitely charge more so I feel like they are being held back. I’m not super booked but I make double working for myself that what I did at a shop. But I haven’t given myself a raise in almost 2 years. Apparently barbers are the one industry that stresses most about raising their prices.
I'm currently working on a truck for a mobile shop. Right now I'm cutting at home. I recently went up from 20 to 30 a cut, and from 25 to 35 with the beard. Most people were happy to pay. I only lost a couple of clients.am I still undeundercoating? How much do you think I should charge once I get my truck on the road?
You can charge whatever you think you’re worth. People will either support you or not. Just have to accept that. And the more you charge the even more you’ll lose but it comes with that
Greetings Sean! Thanks for the video. Are you charging $40 just for a cut or is that with beard included? If not, how much do you charge with beard included? I charge $20-25 a cut(depending the cut) and $30 with beard tops. Im raising my haircuts $10(which will make it $30-35) in 2022 but debating if $5-10 extra with beard. Most my clients give me $40 now with beard. Would appreciate some feedback.
I charge 40 for a cut, and 50 for a beard. Next move will be 50 across the board for whatever service you want. Paying for a time slot more than likely
Good afternoon. How do you operate your barbershop as a booth rent or commission. Thank you for all your videos. I know it definitely helps a lot of people out there 🙏🏻
I go to a new barber all the time because they all keep raising price after a while, I wish I could have stuck with my original barber but $35 wasnt worth it to me + a tip when i would give him $30 and $35 sometimes because I had the money at the time. Making $30 work a cut every other week or every 2 weeks was already difficult have to budget it in with rent food gas so i can get to work etc. My haircut would take 25-30min, i work construction and dont even make $35+ an hour.
You have to understand you’re paying for their knowledge and the time it took to get to that skill level. Also new barbers don’t know your hair and you risk getting a bad haircut everytime you switch. But gotta pay what fits your budget
@@Seancutshair agreed man I see these barbers making 100 a haircut for haircuts and attention to detail that are really just not even close to your level

As another factor on top of percentage of bookings, would you recommend raising prices every 12 months or so regardless?
Not necessarily on a timeline I’d recommend more based on demand

Very very helpful thank you bro!! Charging £10 for kids & £20 for adults.....do you think kids should pay same price as adults?????? 💈🇬🇧💈
Yes absolutely! More difficult than adult cuts for sure!
25 for a cut 35 for cut and beard

Do you cut every cut for $40 orrrrrr? Can you show your full price list?
Haircuts are all 40, with beard 50
40+
what if giving tips isn't the culture in your country?
raise your price to include a $5 / $10 tip.
Need to charge what you need without counting on tips 👍🏻
