Lego should've also included luke, old ben, and r2 minifigs, so that you could recreate all the scenes inside the falcon. Its such a top end set that it feels cheap only getting some of the original trilogy heroes.
Another good thing about it is, it's really really close to minifig scale! Just by a couple studs on each side. So that's pretty cool for lego to make something in scale with minifigures. I just wish it had a better interior.

Charles Pleb yeah like anything that has to do with chinese fakes is that they are unpredictable and the quality can be really bad. I bought some fake phase one clones on ebay and all the helmets are a missprint. Still a good deal 20 clones for 40 €
You guys should consider your self's luck, here in New Zealand we pay $1500NZD for this which equals $1103USD. We don't have Lego stores in NZ so we have just gotten these in our toy store this January, we do have the ability to lay-by or lay-away which is the only way I can get one so I am thankful for that.
Bought this a few weeks ago and then pulled the trigger on a new Red 5 Xwing. Next purchase will be Slave 1. Not sure where I will be able to display them but the intent is to have all three in front of a cloud city background as they were all docked there at the same time in empire.

We saw a bigger version of it in a gameplay from lego marvel superheros 2 and it looks so damn accurate. The only problem is that I wonder how much it would cost and if I could buy it, but I looove the look of it way more than the look of the millennium falcon (and 800$ is too expensive in my opinion). I haven't bought a lego set in a while and a new milano would be the perfect set to get into lego again sooo...thats it for now. I...I just wanted to say that. My parents were a little worried when I told them about the price tag 🏷 ( in our country, because I’m not from USA, the prices are being raised by a lot ) but when we considered all the pros and cons, we chose to buy it, and I gotta admit it, it was the best feeling in my life
I understand that they probably (rightly) prioritized the durability of the build, but I personally would have liked to see a bigger interior. Some of the full interior customs people have done are amazing. That said, the best Lego set ever was the Ghostbusters firehouse.
Just finishing to bild it! Nice, honestly a nice adventure to remember. From a couple of metres looks like the real one! The details are awesome. I bought it for 600euro, 200euro less than the real price. But is quite normal, every lego set closing christmas is possible to find it with 20/30% discount in Europe. So, it worth a lot! Everything you told in the video is true. If we can find some downs, the 2 rooms empty are a bit strange... Sure was possible to give us something to put in with little effort from lego. And the control room is made for 4 minifigs but is really poor. I think lego leave always something to us for a small or big upgrade. And don't think about playability because the weight is too much to nothing but show to your friends this beautiful beast! Better buy the smaller version for my son :) I already bought from China the displayer. 20euro. Need space at home for this! Good luck to everyone!
A friend of mine worked at the Lego store here in Vegas and it actually is worth 800 bucks. They priced the Falcon piece by piece including studs. So what you would pay for a stud or regular piece at the flagship store is how much it is in this kit. When you put the total amount of pieces together in the kit it equals 800 dollars so while it is expensive (I can't afford it) there isn't a markup. This Lego kit is made up of 800 dollars worth of pieces.
That comes out to... $9 and change per piece... yes, maybe for the larger pieces but a 1x1? last I checked the average per piece is .10. Look I love Star Wars and Lego but $799 is a bit much. More for collectors or if you really really really want it I guess...

This set looks awesome, but the lack of interior play-ability and the sheer size of it is a non starter for me. By comparison, I could buy 13 of the most recent Star Wars Lego playsets on the website and still come in under $800
Managaged to get one of these yesterday at my local store in the UK - to be fair I managed to get a second one before the 16 of them went :-) Can't wait to open it but I'm keeping it for a Christmas present to myself. As for deciding whether or not to buy one when I saw the relaunch - a no brainer. Hopefully the second set will be a nice little earner for my daughter in a few years time!!

I bought the Lepin and it came with the 3ferman stand for $170. It's complete and looks outstanding. The instructions are just fine and yes it has all the minifigs and they look fine too.
And how much do you need to spend on superglue to make sure it doesn't break? Honestly there's no reason a set like that doesn't include every single character who ever set foot on it. If the Death Star has like 20 minifigures, this one should at least have Luke, Obi-Wan, and R2

Everytime I have to go to the mall with the wife. I would stop by the Lego store and walk straight to the Star Wars display. Just stare at the Millennium Falcon and all the details. Today, while I'm gaming (Satisfactory). My son and daughter walk in the room with a big black box. I took a closer look and wow, the Millennium Falcon. I guess they told my wife about me wanting to get it. Best fathers day present.
I'm gonna wait for a better version in the future, so I start saving my money from now on. I wish there will be a significant improvement in the interior, and I mean less stickers by that.

5 kilos of plastoc is already worth at least 50 dollars and then the molding by machines and the printing is pretty hard to then meep in mind the trademark cost but yes it is a bit overpriced but still worth it

Scott Guymon, your argument is is only slightly right. Original/exclusive/unique pieces/figures make them raise some set prices by a little bit, but you might want to look up how your country's economy (like the value of CAN $ vs US or UK $ for example), the yearly rise of debt and the raise of % on products and ressources affects the prices of most toys. Basicaly, if they pay more for production (minimum wage increase), materials, imports/exports, etc. , we pay more as clients.
Admittedly, the price is quite extreme. But honestly, the biggest problem for me is the size of the thing. Honestly, if I ever got this, I would have absolutely nowhere to display it.

I paid the $800 for it in June 2019...an impulse buy. I built it during the month...taking about 10 days of a few hours a day. It is an expensive display model. Is it worth it? If you're into Lego and Star Wars, then you decide if it is worth paying a lot of money for 7541 Lego parts "flying" in close formation. I'm glad I bought it. A few days into the build I found the Vonado Docking Bay 327 kit from China available for ~$450 dollars. I ordered that plus the lighting kit for that as well as the Falcon. I've buile the Docking Bay 327, added the lights but haven't done the lighting on the Falcon yet. It is turning into a cool display/diorama. A quite expensive diorama but pretty nice. It will be a dust magnet where I live but if I keep it covered most of the time maybe that will reduce the dust accumulation.
I could buy so many more useful things instead of this. Also you’ll just stick it on a shelf and sell it in 10 years when the price increases. Heck if I wanted to blast my $1,500 I’ve saved up I could go spend $1,000-1,300 to build MY own Gaming PC, with some of the best graphics, speed, etc.
In the end no its not. Let me be clear i LOVE lego its my favorite hobby but all in all its just plastic. While this would be amazing as a display piece i can think of thousands of other things better than this for 800 dollars, thats seriously alot of money some people dont understand it because they dont have jobs and might get it for a holiday. The minifigs shouldnt be the reason you buy this its for the model which is good. But i couldnt spend 800 dollars on it.
I just got my first job working at Best Buy, saved up for several months, and finally bought this. I fully understand how much $800 is, and I think that it is fully worth it (for me at least). I worked hard and saved up for this, and I don’t regret anything
In Canada we are lucky because it as actually 200(cad) dollars cheaper. Because, 800 us to Canadian is around 1100 cad but it only costs 900 cad. So we save 200 cad which is around 150 us. Pretty good savings lost in conversion which works to our benefit.
I bought iPad Pro for this price. I bought the Death Star (10188 14+) when I was 10 years old and a lot of people build LEGO where their age is less than what’s on the box so don’t listen to age recommendations on LEGO.

I bought the Lepin and it came with the 3ferman stand for $170. It's complete and looks outstanding. The instructions are just fine and yes it has all the minifigs and they look fine too.

Honestly there's no reason a set like that doesn't include every single character who ever set foot on it. If the Death Star has like 20 minifigures, this one should at least have Luke, Obi-Wan, and R2

Everytime I have to go to the mall with the wife. I would stop by the Lego store and walk straight to the Star Wars display. Just stare at the Millennium Falcon and all the details. Today, while I'm gaming (Satisfactory). My son and daughter walk in the room with a big black box. I took a closer look and wow, the Millennium Falcon. I guess they told my wife about me wanting to get it. Best fathers day present.
This is just too large and expensive for me to consider. It makes me feel queasy.
I'm gonna wait for a better version in the future, so I start saving my money from now on. I wish there will be a significant improvement in the interior, and I mean less stickers by that.

5 kilos of plastoc is already worth at least 50 dollars and then the molding by machines and the printing is pretty hard to then meep in mind the trademark cost but yes it is a bit overpriced but still worth it

NO lego set is worth $800, A lot of kids family's can't afford Lego's anymore its kinda sad. If people pay this much for a set, lego will keep jacking up the prices's.
Lego has not "jacked up" the prices much, but people are getting more poor and poor.
Scott Guymon, your argument is is only slightly right. Original/exclusive/unique pieces/figures make them raise some set prices by a little bit, but you might want to look up how your country's economy (like the value of CAN $ vs US or UK $ for example), the yearly rise of debt and the raise of % on products and ressources affects the prices of most toys. Basicaly, if they pay more for production (minimum wage increase), materials, imports/exports, etc. , we pay more as clients.

I paid the $800 for it in June 2019...an impulse buy. I built it during the month...taking about 10 days of a few hours a day. It is an expensive display model. Is it worth it? If you're into Lego and Star Wars, then you decide if it is worth paying a lot of money for 7541 Lego parts "flying" in close formation. I'm glad I bought it. A few days into the build I found the Vonado Docking Bay 327 kit from China available for ~$450 dollars. I ordered that plus the lighting kit for that as well as the Falcon. I've buile the Docking Bay 327, added the lights but haven't done the lighting on the Falcon yet. It is turning into a cool display/diorama. A quite expensive diorama but pretty nice. It will be a dust magnet where I live but if I keep it covered most of the time maybe that will reduce the dust accumulation.
I could buy so many more useful things instead of this. Also you’ll just stick it on a shelf and sell it in 10 years when the price increases. Heck if I wanted to blast my $1,500 I’ve saved up I could go spend $1,000-1,300 to build MY own Gaming PC, with some of the best graphics, speed, etc.

In the end no its not. Let me be clear i LOVE lego its my favorite hobby but all in all its just plastic. While this would be amazing as a display piece i can think of thousands of other things better than this for 800 dollars, thats seriously alot of money some people dont understand it because they dont have jobs and might get it for a holiday. The minifigs shouldnt be the reason you buy this its for the model which is good. But i couldnt spend 800 dollars on it.
I just got my first job working at Best Buy, saved up for several months, and finally bought this. I fully understand how much $800 is, and I think that it is fully worth it (for me at least). I worked hard and saved up for this, and I don’t regret anything

In Canada we are lucky because it as actually 200(cad) dollars cheaper. Because, 800 us to Canadian is around 1100 cad but it only costs 900 cad. So we save 200 cad which is around 150 us. Pretty good savings lost in conversion which works to our benefit.

I bought iPad Pro for this price. I bought the Death Star (10188 14+) when I was 10 years old and a lot of people build LEGO where their age is less than what’s on the box so don’t listen to age recommendations on LEGO.
