we all loved Jocky back in the day, darts wouldnt have been darts without him. those of us darts and snooker fans in the 80's had it better than any before or since. RIP Jocky and Eric
I always had a soft spot for jocky (john),and not because he's Scottish, but because he was such a gentle guy with his sad upbringing, the guy just melted my heart.R.I.P. John. Jocky Wilson.
The professional darts circuit was chock full of fascinating characters in the '80's. Jocky Wilson, Eric Bristow, John Lowe, Bobby George, Cliff Lazarenko, Bob Anderson, Mike Gregory, Dave Whitcombe, Keith Deller, Leighton Rees, Alan Evans, Alan Glazier, Peter Locke, Steve Brennan, Ceri Morgan (with THAT throw!) Great times.
Eric was the best for a long time but in 1989 Jocky won the BDO and did it the hard way by beating three of the top four seeds including a win over Eric. That is quality.
He actually did. People get mistaken thinking eric and jocky hated each other when in reality they both were good friends off the board. Eric hated john lowe but not jocky hence why eric was at his funeral.
Sometimes when I watch Chizzy, it reminds me of Jocky throwing. RIP Wee Jocky

Scottish National Hero, John Wilson.
"Have a safe journey home, goodnight and godbless". Absolute legend.
Still have my jockey wilson darts. Loved the man, made darts exciting.
Loved the guy, best era for darts, Bristow, wilson, lowe, george, wonderful charactors.
What a great player
Much missed Eric & Jocky, shame that they weren't at the recent seniors tournament. Would've been great to see em go at it one more time.

Eric was "The Architect"
I like the way Eric cuts across the oche and jocky’s reaction 😂😂
One of the all time greats
The most watchable player ever.
Eric loved jocky

Growing up i used to love watching Jocky play darts.
John Thomas Wilson. An enigma very like Alex Higgins in snooker.
None like Jocky. He was unique
7:08 How cutting to the heart is this?
'Nose like a ski-slope' ..classic 😆😆
When darts had characters
Was an era when most sports had characters
The one with the grin... Legend...
There was an article in the News of the world saying "Is Jocky Wilson dead?"
Does anyone have this?
Reply appreciated.
I think so, because he was national legend, but then just disappeared. I could have misconstrued your comment.
Jocky and Eric played the public. Pre WWF
Why use a thumbnail of Bristow?
It's not, it's his face
All darts players are nuts :)
Alcoholism is a bastard.
