what standards, they allow woman to wear pony tails now, and allow full sleeved tattoos and bloody beards, some say as long as they do the job, well actually thats bullshit, the New Zealand Police not to long ago ensured their members turned out as professionals , but these days they are not, they even argue winge bitch and moan at their own association, to say standards have dropped is a understatement as have discipline and morale..its a pathetic woke mess.

Totally agree with you on Standards, but we also have a different kind of standard as I refer to building code standards, healthy homes standards etc etc that are being interpreted or misinterpreted in order to create the opportunity of make a small simple job something much bigger much more lucrative to the contractor,in effect this is downright corrupt practice, and has been steadily becoming more prevalent in NZ with the downturn in building activity

Now I look forward to him using the C word in the near future to show the parliament his fight for gender inclusivity. After all Mr. March is man of principles.

I think Mike Hosking is a superb Journalist and Social/ Political commentator. But I respectfully think he could take some of his own advice re "standards." If you look back 6 years plus... you will see that he used to wear some "really nice" shirts... These days, he looks like me when I've just got out of bed. The only difference is... he's kept the bedtime tshirt on and just donned a jacket. The Hosk is not short of a buck! He could afford a nice shirt under that jacket... Look at Piers in this clip. I guess in London, they do indeed have higher standards for their top commentators. Shucks, your a bloody handsome bloke Mike... buy some nice shirts!

Only weirdo’s wear suits. Luxton is driven by greed and money. And the only low standards around I’m seeing, is the state of our roads.

actually parliament has a dress code, and it is decided by the members, and that is what they chose, and I agree with them, wear your best, do your best, rise to the occasion. Need help? Look around the walls of the chamber at the body count listed on plaques from the wars the good members have sent NZers to fight, this is a serious place, do your best for your people. You cannot even make the effort to dress well, perhaps this is not a place for you

Your corrections come across as opinions. Which tells us a lot.
Anyone who wishes to be taken seriously in business wears smart clothes.
Mike is on the button regarding the pathetic state of our education system, cause a bunch of weirdos not wearing suits has attempted to guide our children using ideology, not respected teaching methods and curriculum that meet STANDARDS. Look at drakebuilders data. It tells the whole sorry story.
