Shane Jones is not a good man. Nor does he tell it how it is. The judiciary has been reduced to what it is gradually, by successive governments over decades. The cause is in politics via fascistic justice and police ministers that have little to no understanding of law and order, or cause and effect it would seem.... or perhaps they are actually achieving their goals and those goals are not what they claim them to be.
When is this going to stop. If the gangs aren't outlawed we're all in danger every time we cross some imaginary line the gangs draw. The judge should be sacked for enabling dangerous crims to use their supposed poor upbringing to justify attempted murder. This has to be coming from the top. It's like Koster, the head of the Police playing nice with gangs like they are somehow trust worthy. What a crock of woke shit
Although I totally agree with the sentiment, this is not the judges fault. This is what happens when the justice and police ministers have too much influence over law and order. The judge is doing what their job entails, they are observing the instructions of their bosses. This is far more the responsibility of the minister of police and police themselves.

@shadowbanned1999 I cannot begin to explain how incoherent, or perhaps confused (or to coin the terminology that you used "idiotic"), that statement is.... I assume that you're new to communication and forming sentences using the English language? Or perhaps you are actively attempting to delegitimize definitions and language for political purposes? I will assume the most likely option of the two here, the preceding assumption. Perhaps you could learn how to think critically before throwing such de-educated (or indoctrinated) opinions around.... If I were you; I'd start by checking the definition of fascism.... and not just with the person/s (or website/s) that indoctrinated you to this confused conclusion. Perhaps a dictionary printed anywhere before the end of WWII (yes an actual book) when certain cretins began using the term as a political hammer to "other" people who don't conform to certain "popular" sensibilities. And to further that advice, you might want to attempt a tacit understanding of history and how words, and word combinations, have been misused throughout to control weak minds into despicable acts. Specifically those such as fascism, misogyny, or white-supremacy, for example, would be pertinent in today's "western" (or globalised) political environment. Also, please do learn the difference between fascism, fascists, and fascistic for example. It will help you if you want intelligent people to take you seriously going forth in life. Any person who represents an organisation and commits an act of serious criminal nature whilst wearing the insignia of that organisation, brings that organisation into ill repute. If the leaders of that branch of the organisation, or of the organisation proper, endorse such criminal actions, not only should the offenders be treated accordingly under the law but also Justice should be brought to bear on the Organisation itself for having supported such offending. Doling this would reinforce collective responsibility upon the ring leaders of those organization's for the actions of their members. It might cause a change in the behavior of the members of those organization's if their whole movement is held to account.
@nickmansfield1 Companies are regularly held liable for the actions of their employees, on and off duty. Employees are also often held liable by the company if there is misconduct in off duty hours and the employees are wearing a company logo or using a vehicle with company signage. And sometimes not even then; it just needs to be known or fou d that they work for X company. It's called ACCOUNTABILITY. Pull your bloody head in mate.
@@Tomeccho sure, in your alternative reality. What I stated was, "Would you like to be held accountable for the actions of your siblings, or your employees?." Perhaps English wasn't your favourite subject at school. You stated, "Companies are regularly held liable for the actions of their employees, on and off duty...." , that applies, for example, in the case where there is a contractural arrangement between two different companies and the one that is contracted for services runs foul of public expectations, for example, in the case of a single employee's actions, intentional, or otherwise, then the entity paying for the services may often apply a financial penalty. Stating, "...Employees are also often held liable by the company if there is misconduct in off duty hours..." , that simply wasn't in dispute. However in this day labour regulations make that process a lot more complicated than what it used to be. Other rules also apply within the public sector. For example, Council employees who commit big bads may get transferred to another friendly institution and rehired again after a period of a few years. And, if you hadn't noticed, accountability is in short supply these days, everywhere. Get off your high horse.
Shane could think about the effect of Winston wagging the tail and choosing the party that came second for a coalition and look at the results from labour and their pathetic approach to justice.
Is the term 'co-governance' now a moot point because they just take it completely, when they want it? I don't hear any 'displeasure' as such from their elders. Is that it works?
In this instance perhaps. But if you're talking more generally, no, not at all. There doesn't need to be more prisons, there needs to be fixes to the actual problems that cause this idiocy. The damage that progressivism, feminism, globalism and other forms of schizoid radical left authoritarianism need to be addressed. Without addressing; - schools, especially public schools, being turned into exclusively radical left indoctrination institutions, - incentivising women to destroy the society that protects them, especially the family unit, - and other radical left disinformation, like the CO2 scam, this downward spiral will not be remedied.
Clearly the maori party leader is not interested in this group maori culture. Has that party made speeches against the negative effects of these groups?
It's too late for Kiri Allen to make a comment now because I firmly believe that a " comment postponed, sincerity denied." Way too much weighing up political ramifications for any position she might take instead of a truthful heart felt comment.
Why waste money on them? This wasn't a 1 on 1. God's law says an eye for an eye. That means the offenders pay up for the damage done. There should be damages paid and not some minor sum. That would hurt them and make them think twice about pulling this stuff.

Tribal behaviour used to be an historic problem prior to colonial ,but primarily missionary , treaty offerings . Loosing? No; lost decades ago.... it's just picked up steam to the point where only the fully corrupt, or ignorant, can deny it.

@lindamckenzie6500. This situation will continue to exist because Maori leaders are related to the gang members.

When is this going to stop. If the gangs aren't outlawed we're all in danger every time we cross some imaginary line the gangs draw. It's like Koster, the head of the Police playing nice with gangs like they are somehow trust worthy. What a crock of woke shit
Although I totally agree with the sentiment, this is not the judges fault. This is what happens when the justice and police ministers have too much influence over law and order. @shadowbanned1999
I cannot begin to explain how incoherent, or perhaps confused (or to coin the terminology that you used "idiotic"), that statement is....
You are welcome young zealot.

Would you like to be held accountable for the actions of your siblings, or your employees?
@nickmansfield1 If they're a poor pakeha, they already are lol.
