6:20 camped at this exact spot last June. We got sunburned during the day amd froze during the night, we had a thunderstorm form right above us, and got hit with ~45 mph winds. It was still the best camp spot I've ever been to so far. Cant wait to go back here
Were you in the Tacoma area? Cashmere is north central WA. We’re about 5 miles up in the mountains from Cashmere. Cashmere is a sleepy town. It reminds me of Mayberry, from the TV show….
New subscriber here. Just stumbled on your channel yesterday and have been enjoying binge watching your PNW playlist. Love seeing spots we are familiar with and enjoying new-to-us spots. We have aged out (health issues) of the adventures now but are reminded of back when we did the same sort of exploring in many of the WA spots you are visiting. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Great camera work.
Thank you for sharing. My wife and I are…, I’m pushing 60 and she’s in her early 50s. We LOVE driving from our mountain home to other places around WA state. Personally I think WA is the most beautiful state in America.
I spent my career at Western State Hospital and lived on Anderson Island in the Sound. After 30 years of working for the state, I was more than happy to retire. We now live in the Wenatchee area in the mountains. I miss clamming, picking oysters, squid jigging BUT I DONT MISS THE LEFT side of WA one bit. We’re on the Right side and happy as we can be
Yeah, that spot is something else. Watching all the lights come on in Chelan as it got dark was pretty cool too. You'll love the BDR when you get a chance to do it!
They were on Section 4 of the BDR. The start of sec 4 is about 6 miles from our house. (We live on a different mountain range). We built 1/2 way up our mountain and the views are amazing. Make sure when you’re taking the BDR, bring Bear Spray and a loaded side arm if you plan on taking the whole 575 mile trip.
Wow those were fantastic views from both those spots. Definitely on my list for the future. The gazelle tents are fantabulous, I have an old T3 that has held up well on many adventures the couple of friends that have used love it too.
My wife and I have fun with 2 other couples who go off roading from around the Wenatchee valley area. In a couple of weeks we’re jumping on the BDR outside of Cashmere and heading to Lake Chelan.
@@WheretoNextOverland We live in the mountains 5 miles from Cashmere towards Leavenworth. And yes section 4 is the prettiest. There’s also a road that goes from Malaga to Ellensburg. A lot of sharp rocks so you definitely need to air down your tires. I’m a WA Native American, who spent my career on the Left side working at Western State Hospital as a Therapist. We were over the moon to move into the Wenatchee Valley.
@@mattvanbogart We’re about 5 miles from Cashmere up Brisky Cyn. I’ll be going into Wenatchee today. If you’d like, we can meet up at the Home Depot parking lot around 1pm. Love this area. Hopefully you went to Leavenworth and Stehekin. You should also head over Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River. The largest dam in the USA and North America. Absolutely a spectacular site to see.
All those spots you mentioned are 100% worth visiting. We've been to all of them, but didn't get a chance on this trip. I was bummed with skipped Munchen Haus in Leavenworth lol
Leavenworth rocks, unless it’s during their festive seasons (parking is a Nightmare). From our house (Brisky Cyn) outside of Cashmere, Leavenworth is about a 20 minute drive, if we take the backroads to Dryden and pick up hywy 2
@@MrJedi5150 We looked at some land behind the high school but then thought about the commute for my wife to get into Wenatchee to work at the Mares Building on 9th
We live between Cashmere and Dryden. You ought to join us (usually 2 other couples) who leave Cashmere to do section 4 of the BDR to Chelan. All of us go to Sage Hills Church in Wenatchee
Subscribed! Good vibes guys! I’m traveling next week to Lake Chelan and going to do some filming. Cheers 🎉 from another Washington traveler!
Thanks! We love Chelan. Have a great time out there!
That was the town of Manson yall were looking down at! The three smaller lakes are Roses lake, Dry lake, and Wapato lake!
Ahh, we were wondering what those smaller lakes were!

Seems like every time we're over there, the weather is temperamental
Just came across your channel. I’m from Wenatchee and definitely support the channel. Nice work very beautiful keep it up.
@@victormanuel5093 thanks for the kind words and welcome to the channel!
That’s for the content. Will be figuring out these spots and going there myself.
Do it! Definitely worth it
I look forward to your videos. I used to be stationed in the pnw. So your videos help me with my separation
Awesome, glad to hear you enjoy 'em!

@@Doc1855 I wasn't, I was north of Seattle on Whidbey Island. Didn't get into offroading until I left, sadly.
@@SENPAI_NO Come back and do the BDR
Your wife should make a cooking show, the food looks AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, yeah I tell her that all the time!
@WheretoNextOverland Maybe add the cooking show as a segment. When its time to cook, transition into a formal "cooking show"

Definitely! Probably a 'top 3' campsite in WA (at least in terms of the view)
Passed out 18 minutes from your premier last night 😂. But man, the 360 view was epic! The wind is all part of it. Take care
No doubt! I'm willing to pay the price (wind) for the payoff (views). All day long

Yeah, we went there first, but someone beat us to it!
