    Thank u guys fpr sharing. I am a jeep camping from Washington state i left at 18 never looking back, but i recently started a hobby of camping now its my lifestyle. I enjoy nature so im heading back home all the way back from the South wanting to explore my homeland. I didn't even know all this was here wow

      Thanks for this comment. Often times, it's the bumps in the road that become the highlights!

    Now that's a campsite. I love being surrounded by trees and the sounds associated with it with wildlife and wind passing through the leaves.
    PNW is really beautiful....made me nostalgic when I lived there for close to a year many years ago.

      Agreed! Camping in a dense forest is pretty hard to beat for me

    As soon as you said Lena Lake and Hama Hama Falls, I said to myself, "man that sounds familiar", after messing around on Google Maps i figured out why...That's the way you go for the trail that leads to Summit to The Brothers Mountain, one that I have yet to climb that's been on my list ever since i figured out the name (thanks to my Peak Finder app) of the Olympic mountain that dominates the skyline every time I'm down at any of the Puget Sound beaches close to me here in Burien

    Fantastic! Love the PNW backwoods. Very quiet and serene.

      No doubt! It was such a nice change camping in the PNW again after weeks in Utah. Both are incredible, but I do love being surrounded by trees. Just can't beat the smell of a PNW forest!

    I live in PT. The Olympics are too frustrating for dispersed camping. Glad you found a spot.

    • @WheretoNextOverland
      @WheretoNextOverland  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I hear you. It was definitely super busy where we were in this one. Neighbors closer than we ever like. Seems like riverside spots are tough to come by no matter where we go in the Olympics.

    • @pala4833
      @pala4833 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WheretoNextOverland Yep. Almost all the roads are straight up/straight down on either side. Most spur roads go to logger's landings if they go anywhere, or aren't blocked off. Most of the river spots are at bridges on the mainlines. And the garbage... That road does have more spots than normal though. Glad you had fun.

    WA is great, loved living there. Still, I am in VA now and it's just as beautiful with an older charm and much more history. Went to Berkley Plantation where the first Thanksgiving toplace and the declaration of independence once rested with one of its signers. There are cannon balls from the American revolution in the walls. The NW cannot compare.

    Is it bad i could tell where you were before you ever even went over the bridge lmao. The first 2 minutes i was like that looks familiar. My favorite stomping grounds. Weve been camping up there since inwas a teenager. Its so sad to see what logging and fires did to that area. That ridge you were on that is clear has a trail that goes to jefferson ridge. I hiked that area weeks before the fire and now everything is destroyed.

    What gimbal do you use for your windshield camera?

    • @WheretoNextOverland
      @WheretoNextOverland  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a GoPro Hero 10 on a suction mount. While I don't particularly love the video quality it produces, the image stabilization is pretty incredible (negating the need for a gimbal)
