Diego, since i was on VACATION and need not - do - South Africa in one day i took a leisurely 2 h to get up there. and comfortable walking-hiking shoes are definitely advisable.
Diego Diaz - there are multiple paths up, some more difficult than others (from the front). By far the easiest are the gorge running gently to the top and the hiking paths on the eastern side (Kirstenbosch). If you do it in autumn or spring you'll avoid the extremes of intense dry heat (summer) and cold pouring rain (winter).
