    I hope he's planning to upload the other parts today... I was so in tuned then the video suddenly came to an end...
    I'm so sad that Nokia didn't jump on the Android boat in 09...I really like their phones and wanted them to be successful.
    Instead... They sold out to a company that's drastically failing in the hardware market... Even their best hardware(the xbox) was disappointing.
    Now Nokia has moved from the top to nothing since Microsoft decided to kill the name...
    The only huge mistake I think they made was avoiding android which was completely stupid since it was growing so fast...

    • @FunielAudio
      @FunielAudio 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don't think they were "avoiding" Android...
      I believe they had some sort of contract with Microsoft/Windows Mobile.
      But when they decided to make the Nokia X line (which is based on Android) a thing, Microsoft just simply bought only a part of Nokia, ended their fisrt attempt on Android and renamed the part they bought to Microsoft Mobile.
      The other part of Nokia is still called Nokia and they just released an Android 5.0 Tablet and an Android Launcher ;)
      (correct me if I'm wrong)

    • @ChoLateEnt
      @ChoLateEnt 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was actually a smart move to switch to WP. Nobody besides Samsung makes profit on the Android Market. HTC is nearly bancrupt, Google sold their own brand Motorola and only makes profit by giving licenses for their software. Sony is fighting for Market Shares etc.
      Windows Phone on the other hand is growing bit for bit and has the most interesting App Store for Developer (Less Developer - > Less Apps -> No Tournaments -> more Profit with good Apps).

    • @Ahmed90401
      @Ahmed90401 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ChoLateEnt I believe that Nokia as a brand name was much more popular at the time (circa 07/iPhone release) than Samsung was and I think that had Nokia played its cards right, there wouldn't have been a Samsung, we all know that Nokia makes some of the best and most robust phones out there in terms of their hardware and build quality, the best camera optics in the business, etc... Samsung Mobile wouldn't have made it past 2010...

      I have emotional attachment to Nokia cuz my first and second phone was Nokia . I wish they choose the android os rather than staying with windows. Sucks to see the Nokia name gone

    • @the3mevrick
      @the3mevrick 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Google it , there are several interviews of Nokia CEO , they said that when they finally wanted a total shift from Symbian and old Nokia software , android was already overcrowded and it was really difficult to survive where indeed not all players were making money , so they kinda wanted to go full on with windows hoping it would place them in better position , but well it didn't happen that way.

    Awesome video as usual Coldfustion! I am really looking forward to part 2! My first phone was a hand me down Nokia 2280 from about 2002. It had been mums for about 7 years and it was a brilliant phone that was truly rugged and withstood many knocks and falls, I also found its little pop up aerial for when in low reception areas quite comical. Keep up the awesome videos!

    It's really interesting that you've decided to produce a video on Nokia now because I've just purchased my first Nokia phone, the Lumia 1520. And I'm in love with it. It's a year old phone but for me it still has flagship specs and having it run on Windows 8.1OS feels snappy on this sized device.

  • @descartes408

    Hey Dagogo! Just shining in 7 years late, actually Nokia's story as a mobile phone producer was greatly based on Salora Oy's work radios and later in radiophones, and especially mobile radiophones, of which Mobira Senator is a great example. As far as im aware, Nokia's expertise was much in the radiophone network.
    In the early 70s there were initial negotiations between Salora and Nokia to begin a co-operation in mobile radiotelephones, which turned into their joint venture Mobira later in the 70s after Salora's organisational chaos was settled.

    Nokia's stubbornness of not letting go of Symbian is what ruined them. They should've moved onto Android or at least pushed harder to get Maemo out and worked to get it more stable and mainstream. Just imagine if Maemo (Meego) went mainstream! A mainstream Linux mobile distro would've been amazing!

    My first was in the '90s. Later on, I got an N96. I was so excited about it, but I couldn't figure out why I couldn't active the WiFi. It turned out that in China [where I was at the time], the Chinese weren't allowed to have WiFi in the N96, if I understand correctly. I was so heart broken, because it was expensive, and because I was so proud of it.

    it aches my heart to see corporations which we used to believe are like the pillar of society and are too big to shut down and a place where you can start your first job and retire from there. But not anymore. These private corporations are losing their credentiality.

    My first Nokia was the 928. I love the phone today. But, I traded it a couple of years ago for the Droid HTC DNA. I had problems with my 928 's apps and the camera. The purity of the 928 along with the pure black display were awesome. I want one of the new Nokia's introduced at MWC 2015!

    My first phone was a Sagem with a single line LCD display. My provider was so new it had yet to implement the SMS texting service. A year or what later, I bought my first Nokia phone with full dot matrix display. It was the Nokia 3310. From there onwards, I never looked back and it was Nokia all the way to the Nokia Memo. My last Nokia phone ever, sadly. RIP Nokia.

    First Nokia phone I got was the Lumia 1020 recently...and its incredible. I really hope that Microsoft keeps Nokia as good as it is. I also would love to see more phones like the Nokia lumia Icon/930...they're perfect

    my first Nokia phone was 6288, bet many people don't hear about it. I was in eighth grade back then. I still have this phone now, and to my surprise, it still works! Then, a few years later, I got a Nokia N95. This phone literally changed my life. Sadly it got stoled in 2012, and ever since I'm in great miss of this phone. Now, I've used two generations of iPhones in my hands, but for me, Nokia is always a great name and company. I had some great memories about it. Thank you, Nokia.

    Dear, ColdfusTion , i must say that your works are really amazing, and great. As if you're my lecturer, i can ensure the class is full house and no one will skip your class. Most of your videos are really closely related to my coursework for this semester, so, if you had be so kind, do you mind to share your reference sources, so my professor will have no excuse to reject my paper, you know, at university, they really emphasize on verified references for academic paper.Once, again thank you for your work and keep being awesome !

    Never have I looked back since I subscribed to your channel a few years ago man. This is an interesting project you came up with.
    Greetings from Finland again and keep on going with your nice work!
    (BTW, what video editing software are you using and what is your PC setup like? Are these kind of projects doable on modern mid-range laptops?)

    That's the big lesson for people with pride. Sometimes we need to swallow the pride and move on otherwise, it's just a game over. RIP Nokia
