ColdfusTion I would Like to know if it's OK that I would translate your videos to Portuguese, I will not edit anything other than the voice. Everything will be redirected to your channel, as well as your honorable mention at the end as you did on the finale. I will not edit your voice at that part and only add text in portugueses so that it can be understood and your voice as the author of this amazing documentary to be heard. If yes or no. I thank you for your attention.
Not the intention. I just wanted to translate the documentary being its very useful to many. But its best i not dwell in the idea of it, exactly on the thought that someone may thing exactly s you said. To gain profit from it Lt Snuggles
@Dan Rutor To be fair durability was often overstated factor of 3310. Modern phones can take water while the older models die due to moisture getting in. I've seen plenty 5110-3510 mobiles with condensation under the front glass as they die. For surviving harsh falls, lighter phones with thicker plastic bodies win though. However, my Nokia e72 fell off a roof of 3 story building and survived a tarmac.
@@trakaiszeksModern Nokias are actually still pretty hardcore! I dropped my 2.3 down a flight of concrete steps and it bounced. I had a case and a screen protector, but there's not a scratch on anything except for a tiny hunk taken out of the corner of the case. Might be a good case, could be Nokia doesn't go out of their way to make stuff breakable.
Nokia was once the Apple we all know. they were most popular in the same ways and everyone had the classic Nokia just like today's generation have the iPhone. Good luck on Nokia with its return, it's got a lot of catching up to do!
Nokia was legitimate but failed to innovate! Apple excluding the early Mackintosh products are nothing more than hype fueled by manipulative corporate marketing dominance and U.S. speculative investments that enriched many! Mobile products, i.e., phones, tablets, and notebooks are mediocre at best! Technically subpar products! Their foray in chip manufacturing aided again by the federal corporate welfare state and sanctions against competitors will aid in supporting their inflated stock values for products manufactured abroad! A success story built on hype which is the American way!
If they just keep on making phones that are competitively fast, well priced and surprisingly durable? They have a shot. I have mostly stuck with Nokia through the years and the modern ones can take a pounding and don't give me many troubles at all.
I still own 3 Nokias: 3210 - Doesn't turn on anymore because the battery melted inside it 3310 - Still works perfectly but battery lasts for 1 hour 8210 - My favorite Nokia ever. And sometimes i use it because i am such an hipster.
I also have the 3310 and my battery also doesn't work anymore, but the weird thing about it, is that I got newer batteries for my phone, but whatever I try, I couldn't get more than one or two hours out of it.
I have a Nokia Asha 503 and after being 3 years in the box without being opened since it was a promo free thingy from a network subscription, it works! Ive been using it for the past few months.
This guy has got to make the best videos on TH-cam. It's not just the content, I feel like a lot of thought and effort goes into this. I really enjoy watching your videos, keep at it man 👍
Having watched part 1 & 2. It has build me more curiosity to know exactly what happened to Nokia. If this were one long video people would probably skip through a lot missing the essential info. Appreciate this guy. He is doing what no other TH-camr does. These days you see only smartphone reviews day in & out. A little of history along with present tends to make you appreciate thing's which is good.
Nokia was too arrogant to change ovrr to the android platform. They were just too over confident with symbian os. I feel nokia would still be no.1 today if they had android os phones b4 samsung did
Excellent job as usual. Top quality production and great content. Nokia was my phone of choice for 10 years. You could not beat their camera, build and especially speakers. I never thought they would every be knocked off the top spot - by themselves. I don't know if you are going to feature this phone in your next segment but the Nokia 7710 was THE phone. It was at the front of smart phone technology and Nokia could have cleaned up and been the industry standard. I even wrote to Nokia about how good the 7710 was and how revolutionalry it was and they said touchscreen bigger phones were not going to be their focus. SMH. Keep it up.
The first smart phone I had was a Nokia N-Gage QD,which I loved! It was a great phone and had some good games on it. I still have it, and don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
Ah, I remember the N95- heck of a machine for the year (and almost a decade after) it was released. It was a glimpse into the future for a young mind. Thanks for the awesome video! Looking forward to the rest and more.
Coldfustion, you are without a doubt one of my top 2-3 favourite tech channels. You've got the best music, best editing, I love it all, watching it feels like a pleasure almost like watching a series or movie, instead of just feeling like I really should be doing something better with my time. But if I may give you some constructive advice? Often I think you make it very obvious that you are reading the words you speak(of course this is good for preparation and it's what boosts your videos above the rest, among other things), but it can come forward as slightly "essay-y" from time to time :) Perhaps refrain from using multiple short sentence follow-ups and make sure to take a short breather every now and then to maintain the natural feel :) Cheers!
I think you need to stop splitting the videos into so many sections they are great how they are and i think many people would prefer to watch 1 long video rather then 3 separate videos
I did this because I was told exactly the opposite in my previous documentaries (ie they were too long). Thanks for the feedback, it's been noted for next time.
ColdfusTion I do like the 3 seperate videos. Im more likely to watch a 9 min video, than 1 long video, because I usually watch youtube in my study break etc. But whatever you choose to do Ill keep watching :D
Your videos are always a breaff of fresh air... Good job mate!!! That was my attempt of pulling of your accent! Lol, but seriously, your videos are dope!
I trusted nokia even after it chose windows over android and went on to buy the lumia 800. Well, the phone did work for the most part, but windows ecosystem totally ruined it. Lack of (quality) apps being the biggest downfall. I ended up using it just for 2 months and jumped to samsung. Another awesome video! Great job ColdfusTion .
While you pointed out that Nokia phone codes don't have the number 4 in them, it's amazing that the phone at 8:50 is the Nokia 6234. I had it a long time ago.
My first phone was Nokia 6110, second 3330 (essentially 3310 with some software upgrades). Later had a 9300 which was actually very cool and had some decent apps at the time. Those were the kick ass days.
When we came back to Germany in late 2001, everyone either had a Nokia or Siemens cell phone, though most younger people opted for Nokia. My first cell phone was a 3310, which I still use as a backup in my car in case of an emergency.
The way you say number 4 in japanese is similar to the word (death) in japanese That's why number 4 is a bad sign & That's why there is no Nokia phone with that number. great video, keep it up!!
Yeah! I still remember when I got the 6600 and how cool I was to carry such a phone. I remember changing the themes and installing apps (.sis) and the 32 mb memeory card. 😂
haha I remember like in 2002 I was like 11 - 12 years old and my best friend got Nokia 3310 I was sooooo jealous :D We used to play SNAKE ... But after some time I got Siemens c60 ... That was one of the best days in my childhood :D
Great job on the videos! How do you get the content or are you using it with hopes no one will hit you with a pesky take down notice? I ask because I have been dying to make news videos but have been worried about content use.
i had the 3210 model. It was an absolute beast here in the UK and dominated the market upon launch. Nearly everyone i knew had it. Does anyone remember using the composer on it to make their own ringtones? I loved that feature on those nokia models.
My Mothers 1st phone was a 5100 and my 3rd phone however my 1st Nokia was the 3410, at the time this phone was R1400 and i raised R500 taking photographs in High School and mother paid the rest. this was the best phone i ever had, i created my own screen savers and the games kept me up at night. Nokia was the greatest phone i had ever had and if the high end phone is as advertised i am more likely to get it. Nokia inspired me to dream big.
N95 was my last Nokia phone. Nokia sold to Microsoft, a company which bad no idea about phones and Microsoft's refusal not to use Android OS was the final nail in the coffin.
The 3210 was my first ever cell phone, and I remember the rave that happens amongst me and my cousins when one of us gets a new Nokia. The memories.. ☺️

History in a new light! Part 2 of the Nokia story: th-cam.com/video/RQEn19symz0/w-d-xo.html
your link in the description goes to part 2, not part 1! Just so to let you know
Max de Groot Cheers Max! Fixed it up now.

Arthur Batista you know what you just said is basicly saying can i take your videos and make money from em ...
Not the intention. I just wanted to translate the documentary being its very useful to many. But its best i not dwell in the idea of it, exactly on the thought that someone may thing exactly s you said. To gain profit from it Lt Snuggles
undoubtedly, this is the best channel to learn about technology.
Agreed.
+Deepak Gola No.
Probably the prettiest channel on tech, but it does not teach comprehensive knowledge.
this is so nostalgic. my phones back then where all Nokia because they were really durable, this brings back memories. thanks for making this video.
I can't believe you didn't mention the 3310. A great series though.
3310 wasn't anyhow special besides the sales!
@Dan Rutor To be fair durability was often overstated factor of 3310. Modern phones can take water while the older models die due to moisture getting in. I've seen plenty 5110-3510 mobiles with condensation under the front glass as they die.

It is a sad document , sad to see how a part of tehnology history has been forgoton .
I had the nokia 5300 back in school time, it was an amazing and cool phone back then
Missed out on Coldfustion TV for a while, so glad i checked my sub box. Thank you Dagago for so much delightful information.
I still own 3 Nokias:
3210 - Doesn't turn on anymore because the battery melted inside it
3310 - Still works perfectly but battery lasts for 1 hour
8210 - My favorite Nokia ever. And sometimes i use it because i am such an hipster.
I also have the 3310 and my battery also doesn't work anymore, but the weird thing about it, is that I got newer batteries for my phone, but whatever I try, I couldn't get more than one or two hours out of it.
6210.... very difficult to find its battery at this day
rest in peace in its original box
I have a Nokia Asha 503 and after being 3 years in the box without being opened since it was a promo free thingy from a network subscription, it works! Ive been using it for the past few months.
I got 8850 8310 6510 n95 8250

Cant wait for the final episode! Brilliant job as usual Dagogo.
Thank you ColdfusTion for another 10 minutes of excitement and inspiration! Can't wait to watch the third part!
maaan i love coldfustion, the way he presents the ideas are just perfect!! keep it up
7:50 When you hear this about a company, you know its days are numbered.
Nokia was too arrogant to change ovrr to the android platform. They were just too over confident with symbian os. I feel nokia would still be no.1 today if they had android os phones b4 samsung did
Well, there's the Nokia X, Nokia XL, Nokia X+ and the Nokia X2 and the Nokia N1 after the Microsoft acquisition.
+KianPlaysMC They are touch screen with a stupid-ass physical keyboard.
RayzeTheDragon Uhhh... no.
KianPlaysMC Yes. Some lumia's have a physical keyboard under the screen.
RayzeTheDragon 1. Where did you get that information? 2. I did not mention a Lumia once in all of my comments.
was waiting for u to mention about 3310 and 6600! Anyways great work:)
Absolutely fantastic. I always had Nokia phones for around 10 year starting from the 5110 to the N97. The N95 is probably my most favourite phone ever
You set the bar _too high_.
what bar?
yea, what bar maggot?
Hayze Phucked I think he means the video quality and production
Allaf man Still you gotta say it was nice.
Giant Nazi Baby Thing The expression "setting the bar high" implies that he's making a positive review. Seems most of us understood that.
3:46 😢

Still rocking the N97 from time to time, great keyboard! My first Nokia device was the 3310, ah the times!, feeling nostalgic now.
The first smart phone I had was a Nokia N-Gage QD,which I loved! It was a great phone and had some good games on it. I still have it, and don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
Can't wait for the next episode of this Nokia Vlogumentary! Hurry up and upload already! :-)

ColdfusTion I do like the 3 seperate videos.
Im more likely to watch a 9 min video, than 1 long video, because I usually watch youtube in my study break etc.
But whatever you choose to do Ill keep watching :D
*****
2 is the perfect number
Alwin George Actually 69 :P
But to each his own.. :)
ColdfusTion Can you do both or do you want to avoid doubling up? There's clearly 2 types of viewer; binge and break time.
This is amazing to watch! I Love your documentaries! Keep up the good work.
I still remember the snake. Awesome video sir. Will you do a video on the IPhone next?
I totally forgot about the snake game. I seriously haven't thought about it for 10 years! Crazy.
dragonfist25 do we have a modern version of 'Snake' ?
I haven't seen a modern one but there is the retro version at the google play store.
The iPhone never failed
This is a very enjoyable mini-documentary. Looking forward to the final part :)
Can't wait for part 3!
Your videos are always a breaff of fresh air... Good job mate!!! That was my attempt of pulling of your accent! Lol, but seriously, your videos are dope!

ngage qd was my first phone and i absolutely loved it.
While you pointed out that Nokia phone codes don't have the number 4 in them, it's amazing that the phone at 8:50 is the Nokia 6234. I had it a long time ago.

Companies fail when people who only know money get into control. It's a tale as old as time
Nice to hear your Australian accent in the videos... thanks for putting them together, mate!

Nokia 6600 was one of the best Symbian phones. You had to be tech geek to actually use s60 platform to its full potential.
Yeah! I still remember when I got the 6600 and how cool I was to carry such a phone. I remember changing the themes and installing apps (.sis) and the 32 mb memeory card. 😂
My first cell phone was the Nokia 6030. It was an okay phone for the time. Back then, the thing I really wanted was a flip phone....
Very interesting series!! Great job!!
Love your videos ! And style !!!
Your videos are very very High Quality!!!
Congrats!!!
hi im little confused with the sentence begin at 7:01 "any mult previous product has perform all the advertise features well, and this ?"
NGage was amazing!! It did everything well
You have not mentioned 3310!!!!!!
For its "ruggedness"
In the UK there was a Nokia phone containing the number 4, it was an Orange network version of the 5110, the nk402
haha I remember like in 2002 I was like 11 - 12 years old and my best friend got Nokia 3310 I was sooooo jealous :D We used to play SNAKE ... But after some time I got Siemens c60 ... That was one of the best days in my childhood :D

Great one, really interesting, thanks!

6:50 i knew he was going to say that, i closed my eyes for that
I love this channel. Just found it today! Love your content!!
Ps- it says “ColdFustion” on the screen. Still love you though !
6:28 is the PS2 boot screen really THAT intense?

Nokia was the most trusted mobile phones brand in India.
Sadly its glory days are over.
it was the most trusted mobile brand in the world, duh!!!
Awesome as always :)
My first phone my dad bought me was a NOKIA 1100 back in 2004. Man I swear Nokia was on fire back then. They were my favorite mobile phone brand back then.
Thank you!
to this day that 6110 that i own still works! despite being heated, thrown underwater or used as a shuriken. that phone is part of my childhood and will be forever be kept, inside my drawer.
Love you Vids man thanks for the history lesson
awesome episode
thoroughly entertaining and engaging video. Ended way too soon! aha
Great vid as usual
This was nice :P Talking about films 8110 was well featured in matrix :)
Instead of doing as crowd u have done something with benchmark. Big congrats to u bro. Hope we see more videos like this
Top quality informational awesome channel
Can't wait!
Nokia 3210 brought my country Latvia into mobile communications era, as well as perhaps the whole Eastern Europe. As I grew up in a blue collar, low income (even for East Europe standards) family, this was the first phone we actually could afford and this was the phone that connected the whole country as during Soviet times landline penetration was really low in the country...
My dads n95 I remembered because of the video I was watching on my C7
+MUHAMMAD AZAAN N95 was a monster, top quality phone
+Gaz88 yeah I had 3 in white black and silver
