I've had a strangely powerful attraction to the music of this era. I feel a connection to another time and place. It all started when I was 3, when my brother and I discovered a stack of very old music records in our attic. My mother found an old hand cranked phonograph also. During the blizzard of 1978 we had no electricity for about a week, but there were 3 functional fireplaces in our home. (It was a very old home!) So while my brother and my dad were gone most of the day and night helping friends and neighbors, my mom lit the wall sconces, laid a fire with birch logs, curled up by the fire drinking hot cocoa and eating pot roast made on the cooking rack of the hearth listening to those baroque records. Needless to say, it is one of the most beloved and magical memories I have. Just thinking about it warms me within. Thanks for the upload!
Sometimes the lack of electricity makes one appreciate it, but more than that, one discovers the world doesn't end there, and going back to basic living is like purging one's methods of experience gathering and frames of reference. Your mother is to be commended for being a resourceful person, not only in the strike of the moment, but also for demonstrating the wisdom and understanding that the experience would have a profound effect on you and your brother.
There is a certain quality to Couperins music. You can listen to the most viritousic concertos but after a while you know it all too well. One of the great mysteries with Couperins music is that you can listen to it in moderation for decades and it is always somehowe new and wonderfully different and your admiration for the composer just grows and grows.
The reason that made me love the classic music is the Baroque period....I am so thankful to all those composers who lived and created at that time. Couperin , Bach , Beethoven, Mozart and many many others.it was an excellent uploading. Thanks to Brilliant classics.
@@theodoravonwied5441 oh yes!!!! Tomaso Albinoni is far ahead fair from the gem adagio, a revisited inspiration of Remo Giazzotto, another italian). Italian baroque is so warm and nostalgic, for instance Alessandro Marcello as an example. Have a sweet , intellectual and splendid time just as i do as a music lover!
Baroque music era was the greatest! It gave life to the Best of the Best: BACH!! And with him, shated glory Great Vivaldi, Great Handel, Telemann, Albinoni, Corelli, Pachabell and Couperin. Thanks for uploading such great album! ❤❤❤❤❤
My only gripe (not with the music) is when you type in Classical or Baroque music you almost always get the same composers. One day I Googled Classical and Baroque music and got a long list of composers, some who were vaguely familiar but others I'd never heard of before. 🤔🧡🌛🏵🎭

Bisous baroques.A²
Yep! “Chamber music” just refers to smaller ensembles, usually with just one player per part, and historically it was typically played by amateurs in a more intimate setting than a full-scale concert hall. The instrumentation isn’t as much a key part of the definition of chamber music as is the scale of the ensemble. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamber_music
man chamber music is one part of classical i just dont like. i am more of a waltz guy or symphony guy. dvoraks 9th for instance is a masterpiece. i get so annoyed when my local radio station plays this stuff. wish i could enjoy it more
Big symphonic ensembles and forms straight up originates from theses small ensembles and forms, they actually have a lot in common if you know what to hear for, maybe you could get a feel for it by listening to septets, octets, nonets, decets, duodecets as a "middle" ground or "concerto grosso" composers like Corelli who are kind of a "missing link" between the two or, other late Baroque types like Rameau for example. Could also dip into Renaissance or Medieval music to see if you like it.

Brilliant Classics Thank you! I really appreciate this. No use posting a long video without us knowing where our favourite parts are!
I think I'm more impressed with the track list than the music! Thank you so much for it. (I'm here courtesy of Ravel BTW.)
Magnifique aide. Merci
Yes, it was a beautiful story.
Sometimes the lack of electricity makes one appreciate it, but more than that, one discovers the world doesn't end there, and going back to basic living is like purging one's methods of experience gathering and frames of reference. Your mother is to be commended for being a resourceful person, not only in the strike of the moment, but also for demonstrating the wisdom and understanding that the experience would have a profound effect on you and your brother.
that was a God given moment...yes may be magical....great....
NO WONDER, MY FRIEND. IT IS THE BEST MUSIC EVER WRITTEN
Oh. This is so evocative. Beautiful
❤❤❤
The reason that made me love the classic music is the Baroque period....I am so thankful to all those composers who lived and created at that time. Couperin , Bach , Beethoven, Mozart and many many others.it was an excellent uploading. Thanks to Brilliant classics.
These Couperin sets (Chamber Music and Clavecin Music) are so precious gems in Brilliant Classics recordings.
Jed Wentz master baroque flutist and Couperin, glory of the French baroque. Wonderful.
French baroque and particularly Couperin's is a watershed to the ears!!
Have you tried Albinoni? If you like Couperin, you might like him, too. He was Italian though.
This chamber music is very pleasing to hear. Just my dish! Thank you so much for uploading this music!
I actually really enjoy the French Baroque - thank you for this upload!
This Comfort is profound and beyond words
Dude, I'm high. THIS IS FUCKING GREAT. IT FEELS LIKE MAGIC.
🥴 👏
You don’t even know the half of it!
A lberto, you have alot of class-- but it´s all low.
Couperin is a gateway drug. Before you know it you'll be mainlining Bach and Vivaldi. Be careful with the Handel ! Addictive!
@@anthonymavilia7315 Too late
My first year of college ,I turned to this type of music,
I’m a sucker for harpsichord! Lovely instrument.
thanks for giving us the chance to listen to all these classical treasures. really great job! :)

I walked close the "plaque" as we say in french which was telling us he lived and died in this building (a wonderful one in Paris).
Nice discover !
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant for ever!!!
Thank you Brilliant Classics. I'm coming up on the 2nd hour. Still going strong. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS GREAT MUSIC.
Thank you very much ❤
To say it is easy to listen to, as some have here, is not to diminish it at all.
Wow, this is brilliant! 👍
«Couperin le Grand», nice composer!!
Wspaniały utwór. Piękne podziękowania...
Thanks for uploading!
Wonderful! I love this!
I'm love with this
I dig the almost jazz-like feel in the gavotte at 18:21.
Beautitful upload
This is AWESOME!
My only gripe (not with the music) is when you type in Classical or Baroque music you almost always get the same composers. One day I Googled Classical and Baroque music and got a long list of composers, some who were vaguely familiar but others I'd never heard of before. 🤔🧡🌛🏵🎭
❤❤❤
Schön.
brilliant harmony sound while working
thnak you a lot!
Ow thanks
this is REALLY good music!
Just discovered and now love Couperin. Thank you.

I would like being called, "Mister". Or my first name.

Does true chamber music use woodwids and brass
Yep! “Chamber music” just refers to smaller ensembles, usually with just one player per part, and historically it was typically played by amateurs in a more intimate setting than a full-scale concert hall. The instrumentation isn’t as much a key part of the definition of chamber music as is the scale of the ensemble. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamber_music
maaan everyone is basic
man chamber music is one part of classical i just dont like. i am more of a waltz guy or symphony guy. dvoraks 9th for instance is a masterpiece. i get so annoyed when my local radio station plays this stuff. wish i could enjoy it more
Big symphonic ensembles and forms straight up originates from theses small ensembles and forms, they actually have a lot in common if you know what to hear for, maybe you could get a feel for it by listening to septets, octets, nonets, decets, duodecets as a "middle" ground or "concerto grosso" composers like Corelli who are kind of a "missing link" between the two or, other late Baroque types like Rameau for example. Could also dip into Renaissance or Medieval music to see if you like it.
Nice music during.the.mararhon.of Paris 2024.
