Since you guys revealed all our secrets. Spray PAM on the antlers, its fast and effective. A buddy once worked at a taxadermy place in Texas and in the alley behind the shop was a couple of Mesquite trees and yucka plants. Evening pictures had fill lighting from the street light, almost bright caliche dirt and those few plants. We sprayed the antlers, sewed the mouth, cleaned the blood and sometimes used the eye inserts. A good digital camera with a strong strobe to "flash out" the houses behind the hunter/animal and the Rembrandt appeared. Countless dozens of trophy animals in peoples photo albums are shot in an alley behind that taxidermy shop and no one is telling.

Back in the early 80s a Friend said Preppies would ruin 4x4 n Huntin Fishin..
    He was 1000% right.
They got the 4x4 n Huntin cloths n slowly other gear ..that includes Pics etc.
I can see cleaning the blood off tongue in etc to make a more visually pleasing pic.
But I would personally kick ones arsh for sewing or gluing there mouth shut ,n sticking taxidermy eyes in .. Thats flat Wrong. IMHO

Besides my other .Taking nice pics are well n good but I also have learned if time allows .
To take pics of the wounds n damage done n even the blood trail. N make notes.. Will be surprised what you can learn about terminal performance of things n what to expect?
Mental notes of such is good but hard copy of such is much better..
