With lots of art projects planned in the coming months, I needed a way to get supplies home from the hardware store. In Amsterdam this means something for my bike; something big and strong enough to move a refrigerator but small enough to fit up a narrow Dutch staircase. There was only one answer, a Folding Bike Trailer. I could not find what I wanted without spending way too much money so I got to work designing my own. Here are the results - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Thanks for letting us watch your struggle with the...........thing.
yurt on a folding circle would be cool
I be 5 miles down the road with my trailer by the time you got that thing ready.
I would hardly describe it as innovative, a good effort
Love mine!!!
you get better control and stability the lower the hitch is mounted folks...Bem feito Fred! the trailer looks nice too.
Innovative use of readily available materials, I have built and modified several trailers, thank you for sharing some inspiring ideas. On one of my heavy trailers I built a self actuated brake system with SA drum brakes, your hitch attachment on the trailer if hinged, lends itself to a good lever arm to actuate brakes.
i love the music, well the trailer looks nice, i need it too, but i like using acrylics with waterproof cover.
Kool as Heck, & I want one.
Took so long the sun set and was night before he was done! Thank god there was the terrible music to keep me interested!
... отличная конструкция!-, пожалуй сделаю себе такую-же на скутер!!!
Are you sure you are not of German decent, too? This looks suspiciously well planned and engineered!
muy bueno el trailer fred!
just found this vid, nice. you didn't show how you hooked it to your bike. is there any way you could make another vid and show your hook up??
awesome
Not bad is it waterproof at the joints?
That bike rack must be really beefy to hitch to. What is it & where to buy it? And how does it hitch?
Nice one Fred but mind your fingers.✌
It is (about 40 pounds) but I have had almost 400 pounds in it (a refrigerator full of scrap metal). Not recommended for steep slopes.
Demo only shows unfolding and folding functionality. Where is the demo of use functionality? Good concept.
Why not make it fold up with hinges and locks instead of the somewhat awkward looking tie down design ? Maybe checkout the apache or exseter folding campers for basic ideas. The advantage would be that it could be locked . If someone cut straps on yours they could get the goodies from inside .
yup. that is exactly how i have mine's.
Je suis intéresser par ce petit trailer,j,aimerais connaître le prix.
At least he's creative and not out doing drugs and into criminal activities like some on youtube.
Esa traila pesa mucho segun seve
Trailer scores 10......Music score 3 too loud. Good design.
A great demonstration why not to use it. Life is too short for so much faffing about.
time consuming task of set up back to fold up. Webbing to secure easily cut. timber ? weighty. Use aluminium and put wheels to balance distribution
i think this is heavy
Does your boss pay you by the hour?
Maybe rehearse the unfolding before filming next time.
Cool music, neat trailer. Fuck everyone hating! How much does it weigh looks heavy though.thumbs up on the concept.
thanks james. it was heavy as fuck but it moved the freezer it built it for. I still have it but now i build better concepts - www.luxvortex.com/
40 pounds when a mountain bike wieghs around 25 pounds . Im sure u could use sheetmetal and be nearly as strong but much lighter ( let alone aluminium or carbon fibre. Also if u dropped the one piece axle in favor of a stub axle each side you could fit the load almost entirely within the wheels while step having the same clearance as your pedals , thus making the need for collapsing it redundant . Its good to experiment but the goal and the method are important. With respect ok
круто не чегота не хватает
I would have watched the entire clip but that music was too annoying.

theres something fascinating about certain thickness plywood in its own right, but when I see it rounded on its corners and holes in it and nylon tape and wheels I get a fucking hard on boys. of course this is cool bit if u making it it has to be precise well hinged at the end youre left wondering if just welding a simple frame for wheel axels and throwing the biggest nylon tool box or fishermans crate on there would be more minimalist. fuck I love it dude. my hyper dog hates trailers , I pray for the day he gets as exited as I am. fuck grand prix cars and plastic groupie girls after money im in my fucking element here. thankyou . I don't think I could cope with out my fix of cart vids thanks dude. just bought a new welder imagine the possibilities. don't care a shit whether the chicks dig it or not mgtow
"where the fuck is my dawg" peeeeeuuuushhhhhwaaaaa!!!!!

LOL you are very cool dude ! what a horrible trailer lol ... just kidding pal its great, I'm working on a trailer camper, I'm half way thank's 4 sharing your trailer give me some ideas for mine !... by the way I hate this music lol
Hello internet,
My newest work is now online for you to insult, make nazi comments and critique the musical score - www.luxvortex.com/
YOU TUBE HAS RUINED ALL VIDS WITH STUPID MUSIC,,MAKING NOISE FOR THE SAKE OF IT
Did someone say Harpo Marx?
why such annoying noise? talk about it!
Sorry looks good but unable to watch more than 45 seconds due to the irritating music :(
pity about the irritating music.
If that thing got hit by a car during a ride bammmm
Music, annoying, assembly took wa-ay too long.
Irritating 'music'..couldn't watch
poor presentation poor assembly
What terrible music, couldn't finish video....thumbs down..
The design of that trailer is rubbish, it takes way way way too long to set up, way too long.
I would have watched the entire clip but that music was too annoying.
Just lower the volume pops.
