This combined with efficient solar panels, solar boost controller to charge high voltage Ebike batteries and a well geared mid drive motor, this would make for a usable touring package.

@@Billl-td5pp Looking at a Wide Path you're looking at about £4,000, plus the solar and the table are extras so probably more like £6,000
These are actually very cool...especially if you're a cyclist, I'm not but alot of people are.But they could come in handy as extra sleeping space too.Or a she shed when you want some peace and quiet! But to actually pull one behind a bike...you would have to have legs of pure steel! There's no way I could pull one behind a bike! Maybe a motorcycle tho! I'd do that!
I'm curious if they make these for adult tricycles. This is interesting. Also this could be a good thing for homeless people who have bikes
I would do this but I'm too afraid of someone simply hopping on my bike and riding away with me still in the trailer.
You could just make a brake button and when somebody tries to steal it just press the brake button and you are safe

yeah, you'd have to secure your bike from rolling with a good U bolt shackle lock like OnGuard or other brand.
if you had a folding bike, it could be in the camper with you! haha

My favorites are 2:30 B-Turtle and 4:15 Telescopic bike camper
The reason is that the trailer must be small when folded. Wide Path and Eluk are great but they are simply too big.
I would like to actually see the inside of these campers. This was like watching the first 1/2 of a tiny home video, only we never get to peak inside. Thank you.

They all look nice until you see how much they weigh. As someone who has done some bicycle touring in my youth I know how weight can torture you uphill. A small and light tent is the best solution that I know.

There were two campers that I fell in love with , number 3 and 9 .
I really like the Wide path bicycle campher.
The designs are neat. I think that a trailer with a tent might be just as useful though and not so weighty. Plus a lower profile. I could probably pack a multiple person tent for more than one person and still fit gear inside. If big enough you may even move bikes in. All for less weight. So would you use these for practicality or status symbol?

This would be great with an electric powered hub on your bike and you could charge the battery with solar panels on top of the camper 💡!!!
For me, wind would be the deal breaker. Most are too tall to del with a headwind or side wind. Good ideas, need something with a lower profile.

Brilliant ideas... Some people are too clever for their own good. I love this idea of a camper as I just can't reverse a caravan in to a spot even after trying for years!!!

It is a good idea. You belongings will be with you and safer and you will always be out of the rain and wind. I would however suggest if you ever get the money, add an electric motor to your bike just for the hills. You could then put solar panels on top of our trailer and probably keep your bike charged mostly on that alone. Good Luck. ✌👌👍😎

Not only a good idea for homelessness. But saving on many things like water, power and money on rent. One major thing about all these designs so far. They're all so big and can't be taken across town. Let alone on a grey hound bus if you don't like the way things are going in a city. Or like mine can fit inside the back seat of a honda civic. Plus ots metal so getting in is going to give you the time to keep an eye out on it. Props to the builders of these concepts.

LOL, I guess you didn't click on any of the links in the description to check out how much these things cost.
Considering the first one you buy the plans online and build it yourself. Hardly something you can do if you're homeless with no money.
The second one costs 2990 Euros, hardly a cost effective solution for homelessness. Some of the others cost even more than that.
If you want a simple solution for homeless people, a $20 tent would work just as well.
First and last were my favourite, shame the cant get them slightly lower,, but I presumed there using

Why are these not more popular? Housing costs are sky high, rent is a reoccurring money black hole, homelessness is at a high, cheap, etc etc. If there was ever a market that has yet to blow up it is bicycle RVs.
The Turtle wins. Easy. Although its more of a tent than a camper.

My dad likes bicycles, so he loves these. I prefer four wheels, but if the pictured tricycle Camper Bikes can accommodate myself (I'm a 6'1" tall Grass Valley, Californian) and a girlfriend, I'd take it to the super safe but picturesque Inn Town Campground in a heartbeat.
These are crazy except for the B turtle, that one was more compact but practical.

Yes, More suited to a hot dry summer. I keep thinking about putting it up quickly in heavy rain. 20 minutes seems long to get set up.

I thought these were cool and neat ideas years ago, but in reality in terms of being Eco-friendly and convenience while riding they don't come close to a lightweight tent, which is what I use.
These would definitely be more suited to taking trips if the weather is going to be very temperamental. The Wide Path in particular. If rain starts unexpectedly it would be easier to pull over and set up than finding a spot for a tent and setting it up

@@neko_my_cat Yeah unfortunately in the US there is not a big market for bicycle camping other than a small demographic for bikepacking and bicycle campers are a rare sight and most you do run across are home made. Same can be said for velomobiles, at least from the midwest eastward. I actually just started planning and roughing out a design for a custom tricycle camper Should be great fun once the dream becomes reality

It's like, you're locked in your little cuddy when some one grabs your hitch and starts running down the road with you, you're inside, yelling at them "HEY, YOU BETTER KNOCK IT OFF! I'M LOCKED IN THIS SHEET PLASTIC AND ALUMINUM THING AND YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME, SO YOU BETTER STOP, NOW! STOP! STOP! " LOL

I used to have a Subaru 360 mini sedan - yep, a car with a 2-cycle motorcycle engine. I also had the van model, which was stuffed at one point with 7 people! The problem was, besides the aluminum pistons which would burn out, the sad fact that my fellow high school students (class of 1979) thought it was funny to vandalize them. At 800 pounds, it was easy to pick up the sedan and turn it over into a drainage ditch. I would hate to have been sleeping in it and have that happen 🥺
