Nice setup! I need to get an inverted blower. I keep a rear facing blower for our rare big snows, but man, an inverted would increase my efficiency for 90% of my work.
Inverted blowers are a huge bonus. Sold my standard blower, and moved to the inverted mk Martin meteor. Absolutely love it! Cut most of the properties times in half
@@thisthatandtheother100 Average size is a 4 car driveway (2 wide 2 deep) fee for that is $425. Raising next year to $500 most likely. Keep in mind I am in a highly competitive market. If it were up to me it would be minimum $600
got yourself a new subscriber; i wanna see how this plays out for you. my Girlfriend and i started our grounds maintenance business for 3yrs ourselves now. We're in Sw-Ontario 30 prepaid contracts, 700-2250(seasonal). 1 client pays 1500$/m for a condo (7500sqft lot) no plows, for snow removal 2 ariens snow blowers (deluxe 24s) 2 shovels, box full of salt. we charge a premium because we dont use plows. how'd you get the application for 80-120k in 1 machine.. for 450/season? (i get it plays out to like 90k $ over 150-200 driveways) but CodHam... your CS like 847?
Hi adam, I started my snow removal business not long ago as well, I am in Waterloo region, what city are you in? Maybe we can talk about this sometimes😊
Nick, Why are you leaving a foot of snow on each side of the driveways? Honestly, are you getting a lot of complaints because of that? You should be about 6 to 8 inches from your markers. Correct me if I'm wrong?
No complaints. Our markers are 6" from the edge of the driveway to start off with. If it's our first pass, I am not concerned about getting close the edges. First pass is about speed. Edges can be cleaned up on the second pass.
Not a 100% convince and inverted blower is faster...or less hard on your neck...you still have to backup in the yard and pull forward....wyll the reg blower is just doing one pass...

Thanks! Yeah the inverted blowers are sweet!

Woah!… what a crazy control set up!
What system is that?
And what series tractor are you using? I see that you are using a hybrid blower.
@@mikepierce3262 this is a 5090r with a Cyclone blower
Ouuuu Ottawa eh 🎉
Do you price each driveway 20 bucks each time you plow?
No, our clients pay a contract rate for the season. This was simply a lady that needed help and paid cash on the spot
Ok, do you estimate around 20-30 calls pr season. Its little different amount of Snow in Norway. Whats your price for each driveway pr season?
@@mariushovland3966 average events per season is 15-25. Contracts are around $425 per season. 1 tractor can handle 150-200 driveways per storm
@@nicksnedden what is the average size driveway for your base rate?

Pretty easy to get approved with john deere. I had also been in business for 3 years doing landscaping before hand

Is that a 6000m
Hey lady
You wanted trees trimmed as well, right?
What is the top speed on the tractor
43km
Are those 5r are good or they break all the time?
Haven't had issues with mine but I know they have a bad rep

@@nicksnedden thank you Nick for the explanation. Got it 👍
Is it my imagination, or is your blower not level?
You are correct. I'm having an issue with one of the arms where I have to adjust it multiple times per storm. Waiting on a part to come in!

The title is tongue and cheek... we don't actually charge $20 I was just helping an old lady out this one time
You can keep this tipe of small pad's house to close to each other, way to hard on farm tractors
Isn’t that hard on your neck?
yes lol
