Got their Rudiger and have a few more on order. Great boots, really good craftsmanship, very comfortable. I would put mine on par with my Grant Stone boots. My wife prefers these for their dressiness over all my others.
I have the Rudiger in brown pull up leather. The 1st thing I have to say is that the for Canada there are not only shipping fees (40$) but also import and custom fees (100$) which really adds to the price. Blkbrd does not inform you of this when you order😤. My boot is nice thought, the thin leather insole with canvas backing came undone and I had to glue it back. I am happy with the construction and confort. Since the brown leather does not have much pull up it can get rough but I am finishing the boot with nice Cognac wax from Safir 🙂
I’m going to be picking up their walberg model for Christmas in my opinion their best value boot, would love if you did a review on this model if you’re interested
Can you test the outsole to see if they leave black marks on certain floors such as tiles? After a few wears, my Blackbird boots tend to do that when the sole rubs on the floor. This seems to come from the rubber studs. BTW, my boots are well assembled, The sewing and heel are particularly well done.
I'm thinking about getting a pair just for funsies, but I'm not splashing on any nicer leather if it's gonna have the little butt cheeks at the heel. Is that a normal feature, or is that a bit of a defect on this pair?
I have that too. It’s probably because it is hand lasted and they need to tuck the leather in. I have the same on my Rancourt mocs as well. Very happy with my pair and ordered two more from them as well.
I've got both. The urban wolf club are heavier. The stitch count is not as high, but they are well made. The quality of the stitching on the BLKBRD is far better than expected for the price. I have two pair of BLKBRD now. They fit like slippers, very comfortable. I haven't worn my urban wolf boots much. They seem good for the price. The BLKBRD have amazed me.
I have the Luchador-Z in Navy Horserump on order right now. I can say they have great customer service. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
I ordered the same. I hope you'll enjoy them.

Thanks fornanother informative video. I'm very interested in seeing more about the horsebutt options.
Definitely looking forward to see how you make them shine

Bit of a plumber's crack in the heel counter there, otherwise, really impressive
😂
Nice review. Would you say the cromexcel version is decent value at c.a. 300 dollars or the cordivan at around 600 dollars.

@@jfouellette5174 yeah I will look into that. Haven’t noticed anything yet.
I'd expect $275 plus $60 shipping and call that a great price, even from India. Wow. 175 plus 40is like free.
The better quality leather increases the price to around $300. I'd compare the boots to brands that cost far more.
My initial impression, an odd boot. When you said made in India, I got it.
As always, thank you for your posts.

@@CoreyCantwell-jv4be not sure, it really didn’t bother me. I have other boots that have it. Not sure why it’s there

How do they compare to urban wolf club boots?
@@marcosrodriguez6742 similar but one is better for hard work (UBC) and BLKBRD is better for dressing up.
