Very humble and respectful guy. Love how when Kirby mentions how detailed his measurements are compared to other artisans, he just plays it down and talks about his way of doing things instead of trying to compare himself or put himself above other artisans.
Because 90% of those measurements are pretty much complete BS. If he really needed such a detailed measurement system to make the shoes he would simply invest in a foot scanning device. Most of this is really just for show.

That’s a pretty detailed measurement process. I’ve been measured by JLP, Corthay, and Nicholas Templeman and JLP was the most detailed of the 3 but is still significantly less than G&G’s process.
It is truly fascinating the difference in measurements between various bespoke makers. We just filmed Nicholas Templeman taking my measurements, and he’s the polar opposite of G&G’s approach. Very fascinating that such different approaches still end up et the same result.
If I was this guy, I would definitely have the client step up on a specially made table. So I could stand up and take the measurements. That hurt my knees watching that.
during the measurement process, you can see how well cut Tony's jacket is - there's no collar gap even when he bowed down, extended his arms, crouched, the exact amount of drape on the back arm just gave him that lovely reach of movements! Kirby's, on the other hand, gapped terribly at the back collar even with simple handshake movement
I actually noticed how well Tony’s jacket fit as well. I didn’t know any coat could support all those movements it’s pretty impressive really. I wonder who the maker is?

Mr. Allison...you have tremendous expertise and great knowledge of traditional and current styling, but I was wondering why the length of the inside narrow portion of your tie exceeded the length of the wider portion, which is supposed to conceal that smaller segment? None of us will present ourselves perfectly every day, as sometimes our best is truly wonderful, and other days, it may suck.
