This is one the coolest videos. Kudos to this guy for learning this craft and starting his own business. I’ll have to keep an eye on this brand. Have you ever thought about making a heavy duty waxed canvas backpack in that pattern you designed? I am all in you make one.
This was awesome! I hope guys make this a fairly regular video series. It would be cool if you recorded Dale make a pair of boots at Dave's shop; from start to finish. Dale asks excellent questions about the process.
As much as i appreciate Mike Smith and his commentaries he is really only an expert on his own oddly shaped feet and personal preferences, he continually disparages brands and leathers he personally doesnt like such as Seidel only making work leather and low block heels being crap or not needing an excessive arch and being able to purchase stock models without having to draw and measure your own feet 16x as not understanding boots. He has as he points out only taken a serious interest in boots about four years ago, best of luck with his journey but some of us have been at the boot game for decades. On to David Corey, good to see a younger person working on perfecting their trade/craft. His products look amazing. Sorry for the ramble I’ve just gotten tired of boot content creators trying to come off as EXPERTS, it’s condescending . If ipeople keep claiming Parkhurst are the best brand or Truman is mid level and not PNW enough or I’m a fake collector because I don’t own a 3.5” heeled 10” tall wildland firefighting boot or that because I’m not willing to wait 4 yrs for a $3500 nailshank or 2yrs to get a $1000 Russell Moc. None of the dudes have ever reviewed an RDT Roots or Gleaners, only two major channels in the U.S. have ever reviewed a Seventh Chelsea boot, Rose Anvil cuts up a $100,000 worth of boots only to sell his collars, see i can generalize too. The fake expertise on leather is just as abhorrent, i too can look at C.F. Stead’s website and read their sales pitch. Dale, your videos are some of the least biased, informative and have the overall best content of all the boot channels. No begging for subscribers etc. All channels have their favourite brands etc but at least you review boots you may not personally wear, shows you’re a true fan of the craft. Just my two cents, longtime viewer. Great content. 🙏😎🤘🧐
Great rant David. I enjoyed reading it. People are often afraid to say what they really think in this polarized world. I applaud you for just saying what you think. 🤙🫡
Great boots David, it was also great meeting you at the bootcamp. Dale, can't wait to see your first set of boots
David made me a pair of boots. I freakin love em. Probably my most comfortable pair of boots to wear all day.
Dale this is great make more like this, the production is outstanding. I now know where my next pair of boots are coming from. Thank you
More to come my friend!!!
Awesome to see this coverage of Old Speed Mfg.

Great view to watch really enjoyed it
Great video! So, there's no gap that needs to be filled with cork (or anything else) in this process?
no CAPTOE options? I would order a pair if he added this option. Thx
