how about giving an opinion of the internal visors length/ how far it drops down when wearing it as some dont drop down far enough and let too much light and glare in through the bottom gap. just to say it has an internal tinted visor really is of no use in a review, we can see that in the photo's.
Though it may depend on your frames, the RPHA 70 does include glasses grooves, so it should fit them. Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the HJC helmet?
@@Championhelmets After test fit all other brands, I find this one fit my head shape the most - size M, and I bought one. Champion Helmets What is better between RPHA 70 and Shark Spartan Carbon 1.2? I would buy the Spartan, but the lack of “city position” of the visor means it will get very hot in the summer. Which do you think it’s slimmer between the two?
Hi, That´s a tough question because we found that the Shark actually had stronger ventilation on the highway. When you're going a bit slower, around the city for example, that city position on the HJC will be much stronger. If you really need ventilation, then I would base it off of how you ride. Are you more of a city rider or a highway rider?
Champion Helmets No highway! Right now I have RPHA 10+, and that city position is very useful in hot days. Do you think that’s a big minus for Spartan? It’s too opened, in the 1st position of the visor, to use it like that in traffic? Spartan looks slimmer than the RPHA 70, and that’s what I want.
@@kevo82 In your case it might be a minus seeing as you won't get the full advantage of the vents on the Shark. The HJC might be better because of that
Hi. I'm looking a good noise isolation helmet for a custom bike, seems that this one is more suitable for race, which one would you recommend, HJC I70 is better? Or another brand?
If you're already looking at both the HJC RPHA 70 versus the HJC I70, then the RPHA 70 would be a better helmet since it is placed at the higher end of the market so it will be more comfortable, lighter, and quieter. The I70 is targeted at the budget end of the market so though it performed well, out rider found it uncomfortable. Of the helmets we've road tested so far, the best performers for noise isolation are the HJC RPHA 70 and the Shoei GT Air 2 with each coming in at about 97 decibels, though we found the GT Air 2 did a bit better for ventilation. What drew you to the RPHA 70?
Hi! I would like some help from you. I have a RPHA 70 size M and I would like too make it size S, so my wife can use it. Is it possible changing the inside? Thanks

Will this be a good helmet for an upright riding position and/or Harley rider?. How much better is this one over the I70,?, I would like something good with a drop down visor. The graphics of HJC are awesome.
Absolutely. We did a road test comparing 4 Sport-Touring helmets: Shoei GT Air 2, Shark Spartan Carbon, Arai Profile-V and the HJC RPHA70. Cool review :) I tested the helmet today and the odd thing is I can't seem to tell the difference between size L and size M. The guy at the shop recommended size M and I tend to agree but thing is, what is actually the difference between the two sizes ? Just the padding ? Or is it also the impact absorbing foam layer ? And would you also recommend that I should take the M ?
Hi, If you are doubting between 2 sizes, it is generally best to take the smaller one to get the best fit and protection. So the M sounds like the best option for you The size difference will largely come down to the inner liner and not the eps or the shell. Does this help?

Overall the two helmets are fairly similar in what they're offering: drop down sun visor, quick release cheek pads, their fiberglass and carbon fiber offerings, and pinlock in the box. The main difference would be in their noise level and SHARP safety rating. Though we haven't had a chance to road test the Scorpion, it's been described as average to noisy, whereas when we road tested the RPHA, it turned out to be one of the quietest helmets we've tested at 97dB.
