I’m not orthodox but Catholic. Yesterday (Ash Wednesday), Catholics that frequent my wife’s restaurant were bragging about what they were giving up for Lent… You can’t do a 40 day fast, or sleep on a rock, then go home and treat your family like dogs, and ignore your kids…So many people are just too secular to understand. If you listen to God in your heart (the worldly call it conscience) The blessings are right on time and extremely gracious. He knows what’s best for us just; have to listen.
